I love your videos and your dedication to the hobby BUT this video has me concerned about mis-identification especially females. Hopefully these mixing pots don't occur for Tanganykans.
Make no mistake, this is no hobby. Florida Exotic Fish Sales is known for direct African imports and producing top quality farm-raised African Cichlids for more than 50+ years. As explained in the video, this tank is the result of an "over-catch" method we use to ensure our customers receive the exact species quantities they've ordered. This oftentimes results in having extra fish left over once the order(s) have/has been shipped. For the health and safety of the original stock tank from where these fish were originally caught, we would not return these "over-catch" fish back to the same stock tank. We instead, add them to a community tank as shown in the video.

Our channel is about showcasing the amazing species we produce here at the farm. I’m pretty sure Rick showed off more than a dozen species so, mission accomplished! Quite a bit going on actually. Overly dramatic? This is what we call having fun at work. Again, mission accomplished. We had a blast!

I wish you'd delivered to Australia but I think the Australian government has put bands on certain fish. Now, since that, all the cichlids that we have have lost colour, they are wish washy through interbreeding and cross breeding the cichlids in Australia are a true mess

yes, but I wouldn't buy such fish, every trooheus crosses easily (excluding Dubois), so it's only a matter of time before the tev fish will have young ones. and you can't be 100%. say that they won't be hybrid s . That's why pro importers always keep the tropheus separate. This proves their professional approach to this topic
Thanks for your comment.. As Rick states in the video - this is a short-term holding solution for wild-caught fish as they quarantine and await their final destination. While it's 100% possible they could "cross" while in quarantine, any females would be stripped of eggs prior to shipping. Zero chance of cross.
Mixed Cyp leptosoma "Kerenge" and P. Nigripinnis in the same tank. Both species spawned independently of one another.

You can not have community fish with mbunas. Mbunas are too tough
