When we were kids roaming around the forest, my cousin had the call of nature, and he wiped his ass with poison ivy...😅 he was in the hospital for 2 weeks after that.

important fact so manynof you guys miss is this --about 24 hours or so after a rain is when the nectar flows again in these plants…you can look it up for more exact times, but us beekeepers know that the bees will be gathering nectar again a day and two after a good rain, as the nectar flow is on again…periods of high heat ( i think over 80-85) i believe shiputs down flow of fluids in plants and trees…so check that out..anyways, od say to gather clover after a nice rain maybe 24 hrs and see how much sweeter it is and more full of water and juices…why no youtubers know this i dont know but im trying to help you all understand this..go see when the honeybees and other bees are on the flowers heavy, and its afyer good rains.same for dandelions and other flowers…honeybees can only make honey from a limited number of plants that produce enough nectar, and the clovers are the biggest and best as they produce good quantity and bloom over such a longmperiod…so all the bees use them, not just quote native bees…all pollinators..anyways, look into this and harvest much sweeter nectar filled forage plnts to your delight and most likey pallets and nutrition densities !

When I joined a wood cutting group, they were talking about PI in trees! I always thought it was always on the ground! Learned something! I had moved to a new area and started burning wood for heat. I saw vines growing in the woods! I was hoping they weren't PI!! They weren't!

Sounds like in High School Biology the whole class was told to put a strip of Litmus Paper on their tongues. The results were I thought it tasted horrible and bitter, while others (more than half the class) couldn’t taste anything!

Aww; no saligna? The range is kinda spotty but it's a good one. It's another invasive but, as a pioneer style species, it tends to keep to disturbed areas like landscaping or relatively barren soil. It's an annual, oddly, and actually gets bushier with pruning or natural animal damage.

The acrid sensation is likely from a sensitivity to certain organic compounds that are getting extracted. Stuff like alkaloids, sulfates and aldehydes can be bitter or acrid depending purely on genetics. I cant stand cilantro and coffee 'cause im sensative to the aldehydes in both

I appreciate the information and respect what you're doing and how you are going about doing it. Long below: On a note about self testing, I understand it's sometimes useful or maybe even necessary to employ self tests, but I can't say I've ever found findings from self testing (IN ISOLATION) to tell me much else other than "this is what happened to this person when they did 'X'" and "this person is willing to do that thing on themselves" (and ive seen people do this with crazy and dangerous things and try to tell other people they work for something and they "know" because they tried it on themselves). You are clearly not limiting yourself to self testing and seem to be utilizing the data appropriately, so this isn't really about you, I just felt like elaborating on this as it's a dangerous phenomenon.
