We planted a bunch of pawpaws in our woodlot and around our field a few years ago, but didn't mark them very well and haven't been able to find them in the summer. Going to give this a try! (We did put a few near our house too, I do know where those ones are and they're thriving!)

The strip of land between the Potomac River and the C & O Canal has an abundance of paw paw trees. It’s also an area where the zebra swallowtail butterfly is common, as their larvae eats paw paw leaves exclusively.

I love pawpaw... I had one Planted in my yard. I found that to get the seeds to sprout, they must never be allowed to dry, also you should freeze the seeds for 30 days, then you can plant these seeds and they will grow. Also to help pollination, because they use carrion bugs like flies for pollination , I put fish in a bag with holes to rot and attract flies to the tree.

Like your video on pawpaw. I have many growing wild on my property. I breed pawpaws crossing named and numbered varieties and am always looking for really good wild ones. To make wild ones more visible, tie a bright colored ribbon for easier location in summer.
