Thanks for sharing this! Cold emailing is definitely a viable option when executed properly. I have been using FilterBounce for the last few months, and it is made a noticeable difference. They keep my email list clean, which has improved my overall delivery rates. Their affordable plans and free monthly verifications are just icing on the cake. If you are considering cold emailing, give FilterBounce a try!
What a helpful video! I have always seen cold emailing as tricky, but your tips are motivating. I recently started using DoYouMail, and it is seriously easy. The automatic DNS configuration takes all the stress out of the process. Being able to send unlimited emails from unlimited domains keeps my campaigns fresh. I would say give it a go if you are looking to improve your outreach!
Awesome strategies on cold emailing! I love how you laid it all out. I have been with FilterBounce for the last couple of months, and it completely changed my approach. Their real-time verification API has helped maintain my bounce rate under 1%, which is huge. Everything runs smoothly, even with tricky domains. If you are serious about improving your email list, check out FilterBounce.
Really insightful content! Cold emails can reshape your outreach strategy. I switched to Mystrika recently and the user-friendly interface makes everything so easy. The comprehensive analytics are a big plus too. It allows me to see what works and what does not. If you are stepping into cold emailing, Mystrika is worth checking out!
This email strategy you shared is spot on! Cold emailing can really open doors if done right. I have been using Mystrika for about four months now, and it is been a game changer. Their analytics are detailed, providing insights that help refine my approach. Plus, the warmup pool is top-notch. If you have not checked it out, their Cold Email Accelerator guide is super helpful. Seriously, give them a shot!
What materials should we have prepared if they express interest?
I'm actually anti-media kit-it boxes you in, and a pitch is a start of a conversation & negotiation. It's fun to get to work with them to serve their audience. You're trying to help them get what they want for THEIR people. You need to be ready to go: know how to prep yourself via some media training if needed, know how to talk through brand deal details if that's what you were pitching, etc. I have some templates that can help with that, if you need some more support! thecopy.bar/products/publicity-partnership-pitch-email-copy-templates?_pos=1&_sid=b182f77e9&_ss=r
Liking this Ashlyn, but your delivery... you need to slow down and draw breath girl !!
Or you can listen faster 😜jk, all you gotta do is tap YT’s speed control!
This was 4 years ago but still so helpful!
Love your content. Would you consider a 2025 version of this video?
So good! Can you share more about Liquid coding and how you pull it together?
Thank you ❤ helped so much
This is sooo much good stuff, Ashlyn! I use Paper.Dropbox and Notes!
Your content is always so 🔥incredibly helpful. Ready for my tiger time!
Sent the first email and only 3 unsubs and I take that as a win! This really wasn't mentioned but I'm thinking about spacing out the emails by 1 day to give a breather so they don't think it's going to get spammy. I loved your 7 email titles video and the framily examples seem to fit well to revive the ghosted list so thank you for that!! Excited to grow in the coming months!!
In week two, when I’m creating those 3 ways to work with me…I’m starting an online yoga business so the first and third offers seem pretty straight forward (one-on-one & group classes via zoom), but what would the VIP day look like for this type of business?
Wow! That was A LOT! Looking forward to the email launch course :)
THIS. REALLY. RESONATES. I'm exactly at this spot right now-nuts.
Thanks Ashlyn! Long time follower and CFC alum. Question...Do you have a unique email for every freebie delivery?
Hey Ashlyn, great content! I've sent you an email.
This video is the chefs kiss !!! Loved it. Need to go back and listen to think through where I can add some of these elements to my process.
I LOVE your videos and YOU. All of your videos bring me joy and are so incredibly informative and helpful! Thank you for being you and sharing your ideas and tips with us!
Fabulous insights (as always) into launch emails, thank you Ashlyn!
I have a service base business (travel business) I’m launching a new website but I don’t really have an event scheduled. Will this still help? I’m between getting this or the Welcome Sequence, unfortunately I can’t get both now.
Thanks Ashlyn. Awesome content as always..😀🙏
Thanks Ash❤
I'm just now watching this video the headline link is not working anymore, any chance I could still get it?
Team wake-up at 4:00am! 🙌 It sounds insane but I look forward to it every *weekday* morning.
Whimsical Visionary! It was right on!!
10:46 Love the noodle time tip. I have a Writing Prompts database on Notion where I store my ideas for future posts. They're tagged using my content categories (Leadership, Ops) and a status is assigned (Priority, Published).
Thanks for watching! 🫶 Snag your weekly email copy template for $20/mo. riiiight here → copybank.club
So helpful! Love seeing the backend systems.
Awesome video, thanks Ashlyn!
What a discipline you have. Thank you for sharing your process. I have learned how crucial it is to have a story bank which you can pull a story from and integrate it into your weekly email. I usually write emails from top to bottom: hook, story, ending/P.S./CTA. Interesting to know how you do it. Maybe I try that too. Would you say you put the most effort into creating emails (as your main content) first and KZread, blog, and socials come second?
Ashlyn this has been sooooo helpful! 🙌🏾
Mo! I’m glad to hear that! 🎉
You say Tiger time but my brain hears tired time 🥱😆
lol def know when I say I go to bed early on those days, I literally mean get the kids down, and crash early myself. Those aren’t my TV nights 🫠
Thanks ash 🎉
No problem!!
Good info but hard to understand...delivery too fast and poor audio quality.
You can slow it down if you click the gear icon on the top right.
What Mo said! And yup. Had my mic flipped around, sorry about that!
@@AshlynWrites Not sure if would help you but Adobe Podcast have Enhance Speech that can "save" recorded sound when something like that happens.
@@LilianWagnerthanks! I’ll pass along to our producer/editor team!
Wao, for me it's the best video on hotjar so far. Thanks Ashlyn for creating this.
I love the data collection on Email #2! This is the IRL version of asking questions to identify needs/problems so you can better serve them which is the essence of great sales.
Skip… to much talk
Ash this is 🔥Don't mind me running over to refresh my welcome sequence 🏃
Chels! DO IT. And don't spend too much time on it-2 hours, call it a day.
Thanks so much for this! If using an opt-in to build an email list, would you use a 5-email welcome sequence or a shorter, sales-focused 3-email sequence?
Hey, Heather! So that's what I was saying: I'm more of a fan of building your welcome sequence, 3-5 emails, and pushing ALL opt-ins through those 3-5 emails, then putting them back in a selling in the sales sequence. I've done both over the years. If you're into playing the longgame and want your email sequences to run for years, it's an easier strategy long-term. That way you can add more, new, different opt-ins over time. If you draft a sales-focused email per opt-in, you lock yourself a bit more in (which I don't like)
🔝
This is so super helpful, thank you! I've got your welcome sequence and would highly recommend that to anyone looking at buying it. My question is, how do I do the segmentation on Convertkit? I am struggling to figure that out. Any help pointing me in the right direction would be great. Thank you Ashlyn for giving incredible value, each time. I can't wait to watch your YT and open your emails. And happy belated birthday! Thanking God for an Ashlyn in my life X
Wow, Suzanne, that's so kind! Okay, for SURE reach out to CK if you're confused, I use chat support endlessly lol. If you're talking about liquid (like adding different bits of copy in the email that speak to different segments), here's my go-to article I have bookmarked. help.convertkit.com/en/articles/2502501-advanced-email-personalization-with-liquid (And if that wasn't it, I think this is what you mean-what you'll do is load in your emails in Send > Sequences (so build a sequence). After you have your copy & pretty imagery loaded in, you need to build the automation to send to segments. Automation > Visual Automation > + New Automation.) LMK if that helps!
I need to ask: When is your b´day? hahaha Thanks Ash!
Ah! 6/16 :) It's usually Father's Day-ish!
Thanks for this, Ashlyn! I’m reworking my Welcome Sequence now and would love to include a brief video at some point. Where in your 5-email sequence would you recommend this go?
Whoop! What's the goal or purpose or content of the video?
@@AshlynWrites I’m thinking just a quick intro to welcome them. Maybe it’s not necessary…
WHOOP! Aight, pop your welcome sequence q's below. Need more? Get your weekly email copy DONE with a weekly template, $20/mo. ➡copybank.club ///// Snag my welcome sequence template referenced in the video here ➡ thecopy.bar/products/the-welcome-sequence-email-template
Thanks for going through this. One question… What does liquid mean? Is that the code that changes based on the opt in? How does one create that?
Yep. Liquid is a template computer language. It's what you see in variables (i.e. word holders) e.g. "{{ name }}" in place of a real person's name. Dropping this name variable throughout an email whenever you want to address a subscriber by name. Make it more personalized. It also supports conditioning statements e.g. if this then that type thing. It's also a language behind Shopify :) I believe Convertkit has a whole document on how to use it on its platform.
@@gifttanakan What she said. :) It's basically in-email personalization! This article may help explain: help.convertkit.com/en/articles/2502501-advanced-email-personalization-with-liquid
I’ve been thinking about my email sequences ever since you shared that video about what if it were simple? I literally had no idea how to simplify the welcome sequence depending on how they got added to my list…and now I do! 😂 gonna figure out this liquid thing and make some updates!
Wow, it's interesting to know that Convertkit uses liquid to enable the conditions. Thank you for showing the behind-the-scenes of your real emails, Ashlyn!!!
Literally one of my favorite things about CK. I'm CONSTANTLY using it! (And you're so welcome, I'm glad that's helpful!)
Thank you for your frank and real insights! Especially about comments from others :)
