Oh, thanx 4 the video trip For my lanyard, I made 3 loops the size of my hand, Then, I did a double hang man's noose for further adjustments . As for the attachment hooks, I found they were destroying my belts, So i changed them to straps, and eventually I bent/ broke the snaps, So I went all out and got the patriot leather/ hedgehog sheath . The revolution. In kodiak color. For precise work, I found batonning works better then chopping, Les exhausting too.. For feather sticking I use the quarter round area, drawing to me, the weight of the tool dose the work,

Out of my own experience: Yes, but only against enraged peeps (so far). Tho, it is wise to study more than one martial art. And ninjutsu is great to have a basic martial art knowledge in the other styles such as: Judo, Jujutsu, Karate, Taekwando, Aikido, Kenjutsu, etc.

I 'm hoping to get back into Bujinkan because it suits me to a cup of tea. There's something for everyone Bujinkan may not be yours some other style can be your suitability......it's the effort you put in if you want to get something out of it. Base reality I love knowing that street fight rules so preparation and the environment around you is your friend in self-defence.

Ninjutsu was not made for self defense it was made for killing. Japan’s own assassin soldiers. Not taught in the US. Just watered down versions. True ninjutsu is only taught by Japanese lineage.

i studied this for a few years. unader hatsumi . I am older now. early 60s. I missed the bottom step of some concrete steps.. havent practiced in a long time but right before I did a face plant on the sidewalk I did a perfect forward roll. My friend was like what the hell was that. Learning to be present in your body. The best. I learned lots of great stuff. However, I will use say this after bouncing and skip tracing I got beat up a bunch and quickly learned how to keep from getting beat down. All I can say about this lesson is punches come fast man. If they have any skill at all , well it just won’t happen like you think. And people’s heads are damn hard, and it is not so easy to just knock somebody out. Sometimes you give em hard overhand right to the cheek. SOme dude just shake it off.

In answer to the question - YES. However many people misunderstand that Ninjutsu is more about strategy than fighting. Tricking (Kyojitsu Tenkan-Ho) your opponent is far more effective than going head to head.

Ohh someone is clearly bitter! Take a look at other styles that do soft sparring and see how that look like. If you do not know; there is huge trend among for example MMA to do softer and slower sparring to get the same benefit from the training but with drastically reduceing the risk of injury (and compounded damage) during training. Martial art KZreadrs like Jesse Enkamp have raised the issue of reintroducing playfullness during soft sparring (which is exactly what we see here). And martial arts profiles like Joe Rogan have also endorsed it (by commenting on Jesse Enkamp's video among other things). According to Joe Rogan have several elite UFC fighters taken this to heart and swaped hard sparring session for softer more playfull sparring session at a slower pace. And if you want to look like a fool please go all in when sparring in a Muay Thai gym in Thailand (you will be take down to earth quickly) - but the are sissies that just pretend to be able to fight, right? I guess you know better huh? Troll 🧌

I believe that ninjutsu is good for self defense awareness in avoiding posible hostile situations can be seen as a form of defence. Its stealth, camoflage, and concealment tactics are very relevant to this day in age where you have to worry about getting shot in a mall, etc. that is if your lucky enough to escape without being seen first (again a form of defense) the main issue that i have is with all of the the false perceptions in its overall training philosophies when it comes to its effectiveness in combat due to how ninjutsu is portrayed/practiced especially on social media platforms without really any dialogue behind the actual purposes/reasons for these pre-aranged techniques/drills as well as why they are practiced in the typicall ways demonstrated, for those not that familiar with the martial arts that need more clarification-look up shuhari..... Just my 2 cents.

  • @angrydoggy9170

Depending on your willingness to actually harm your opponent, nearly every style is effective. But the most important thing is mental state and composure. You have to be ready to fight and you have to be ready to do harm if necessary. If you’re too worried about doing harm or being harmed yourself, you lost the fight before it started. I’m guessing that’s the reason why so many Americans are always carrying a gun, they are just scared. Anyway, the most important things are mental composure and total control over the techniques you’re using. You don’t want to use too much force but you definitely don’t want to use too little.
