In the Footprints of Rumi
These videos are made with the intention of providing non-Persian-speaking people all over the world the opportunity to hear Rumi's sacred verses in their original form and with authentic translations. Many people are intoxicated simply by letting the music of his sacred verses land in their hearts. I make these videos with my iPhone while sauntering through sacred nature on a year-round basis.
The "Seasons of Rumi" is a series of videos in which I recite one of Rumi's poems in Persian, followed by my English translation.
The "Metanoia Moments" is a series of even shorter videos designed to serve as a visual meditation to help us pause and return to the heart's breath-returning toward the inner world as we ride the wave of the breath at the threshold between the seen and the unseen worlds. They don't have narrations but have subtitles.

Interesting. Western Buddhists often read a poem which they call "the guest house" and attribute to Rumi. It is a perfectly good poem, but it is not this poem, and it was not written by Rumi. The people ho read it out loud may not even know this. But this really should be straitened out. They could say "inspired by Rumi" or something like this. But it is honestly not the same poem.

آری. درست میفرمایید. سعدی گفته است «صبر» و اُستاد شجریان برای آوازشان عوضش کردند به «عقل»... کاری است که اُستاد در خیلی از کارهاشون برای وزن آواز خواندن انجام داده اند ❤
