Love the app soooo much! Question how do you program an immediate stop on a midi pedal. I know is a double tap on the loop screen. I don’t see any gestures for an immediate stop on a midi learn. The first loop always finishes no matter when I stop it on the pedal. Help please🙏🙏

If i had 30 projects setup originally using a base template but then wanted to change something about that base template and have it on all 30 projects. Is there any way other than going through each project and making the change 30 times?

Idk what I’m doing wrong but all my auv3s I can record and loop but if I try to record my songs me shot clips I can press them and they play but don’t record

Hi! Is there a way to monitor the loop instead of the inputs while recording? Or a way to automatically turn off the monitoring of inputs while not in use? I run a 5 instrument setup and would like the leakage outside of looping to be minimal between instruments (especially in smaller venues) Turning off the inputs automatically when not in use would help a bunch 🥳 Awesome software, looking forward to the Mac version 🙌

In short: You're looking for the "Load Project" action, which can step through projects seamlessly, with crossfades/etc. Incidentally, there's not a free 'version' of LP per se, but a 7-day free trial (which is just like the full app, but time-limited).

Hey, great app, took me couple years to actually try it, but now I'm on love. So the thing is, I have a 80's cover band in witch I'll introduce some looping (I play keyboard and bass for this gig), but one thing I think I missed (or it isn't really a way to do this) is about the auv3 channels and the loop recording. As we can bind any channel to only output to a certain color, it'd be nice to have an option to automatically only play that channel when recording the loop color binded to it, so we don't need to keep track of mutting, unmutting the tracks (for clarifying, I use 1 midi keyboard but often have to use 3 or more auv3 instruments, so even splitting sometimes does not do de trick, as I have to assign all of them to the same keyboard). TLDR; It'd be nice if we could bind the loop/color to certain auv3 instruments in a way that it will only receive midi data, or output monitoring sound if that clip is being recorded, for live performances. Thanks for the good work, I'm a little stubborn and apps are kind of precey here in Brazil, so I've tryed every other looper and got only frustration, should've ben using LP a long time ago hehehe.

Hi Michael, I’m guitarist / composer, I makes some research initially for a regular looper and found information about loopy pro, so instead of buying a regular looper, I buyed an Arturia Minifuse 4 for my IPad in order to give it a try. Whaouu ! I’m impressed, this is by far the best looper I used, the most professional and in the same time the most user friendly. So much possibilities and so intuitive. A warm thank you for developing this for us 🎉

What a brilliant tutorial for new musicians. What is so important here is you can actually visually see what buttons Micheal is pressing, thank you, So many other tutorials for loopy neglect to do this just saying press here leaving you guessing where here is? that can be so frustratingly difficult to newbie’s leaving you rewinding twenty times to try and catch a clue. On the downside I do know quite a lot of more advanced musicians who can not use loopy pro due to the limitations it imposes when choosing bars and time signatures that go beyond the normal or into the twisted twilight zone, this was actually easily achieved in loopy HD that could loop exactly what was recorded IE if you had a piece in 13 /8 timing it would loop round in 13 eighth notes! another example at 4.48 seconds of this video it is said you can set the bars to whatever you like but this is no longer the case with odd numbers 3 ,5 7, etc. now unavailable that’s unfortunate as a lot of new musicians are extremely interested in taking music beyond the traditional time frame. I agree the majority of musicians are definitely not Frank Zappa would never need to go beyond compound timings and play happily with sweaty hands 😂 As a percussionist who hopefully accurately strikes on the downbeat, like most drummers and guitarists who should be able to do so perfectly, the ability in loopy pro to trigger on the downbeat is essential and is definitely the first default setting that has to be removed or changed back. Fortunately, loopy pro gives us the options to customise to our particular taste. It is really important to be able to get that first loop to be completely accurate and I would be interested in other musicians settings to achieve this. What is your method? Guitarist, for example, may like to use audio threshold recording but there are so many variations available. It can get quite daunting as to what would be the best way. What’s yours?

You made something absolutely awesome. There is a glitch when I use copy paste to add a string to the template using ad (alphabetically) to produce subsequent pages. It’s is the copy paste feature when I made a template for song sets. I pasted, clicked on B it is great except for the edit feature. Is it supposed to be a mini me like that? It makes sense if the first page, original template used is working fine. I can used it if that is not a glitch. A folder placed in projects launcher would work if that is how you planed it, 5 groups of 10. And makes sense, sorry if I seem ignorant only used it for 3-4 days. 7 days is not enough to find how usable it is by the way.

My problem being a need to setup something anybody can use FREE OF COMMERCE; The projects folder is a seperate issue from copy paste. The problem to overcome is setting up something anybody can launch and use contained in a single file for easy distribution via internet. I am guessing about how a set can be developed by adding to a template group limited by there being only 26 letters in the alphabet. I have 50 songs in a printed book that I and other groups use to take the meetings. So using a workaround I can create a folder in projects with 5 sets of 10 songs; #1=1-10 ( 1st loopy default alphabet list A-J), #2=11-20 (2nd loopy default alphabet list A-J), #3=21-30 (3rd loopy default alphabet project list A-J), #4=31-40 (4th loopy default alphabet project list A-J), #5=41-50 (5th loopy default alphabet project list A-J). It is possible to use it as is and quickly cue a particular song but imagine an index menu construct. Cue any song by pressing repertoire - menu (group by group name - index list; from inside a user template. The template would only show a repertoire icon if the user created one.

No trouble the tutes are good. The UK guy his are very easy to follow. He doesn’t leave much out and just to say that group of introductory vids is actually really well done, thorough and not over our heads at all. I do think 7 days is not long enough for the trial. Probably 14 days is preferable. Pay check come in fortnightly and 7 days is not long enough to compare with other daws, production apps and looping methods and all.

Thx for the video. You didnt mention what kind of files you can import into loopy pro and at what sound quality/resolution? I need to import 48khz 24 bit Wav-files - is that posible?....also can you edit the length of the sample within loopy using 15 secs of a 20 sec sample for instance?

Everything I record/loop is clipping and very distorted. I'm using my acoustic and the iPhone mic. I tried moving it farther away. I've tried lowering the input. Help please?

I agree the majority of musicians are definitely not Frank Zappa would never need to go beyond compound timings and play happily with sweaty hands 😂 As a percussionist who hopefully accurately strikes on the downbeat, like most drummers and guitarists who should be able to do so perfectly, the ability in loopy pro to trigger on the downbeat is essential and is definitely the first default setting that has to be removed or changed back. Fortunately, loopy pro gives us the options to customise to our particular taste. It is really important to be able to get that first loop to be completely accurate and I would be interested in other musicians settings to achieve this. What is your method? Guitarist, for example, may like to use audio threshold recording but there are so many variations available. It can get quite daunting as to what would be the best way. What’s yours?

You made something absolutely awesome. There is a glitch when I use copy paste to add a string to the template using ad (alphabetically) to produce subsequent pages. It’s is the copy paste feature when I made a template for song sets. I pasted, clicked on B it is great except for the edit feature. Is it supposed to be a mini me like that? It makes sense if the first page, original template used is working fine. I can used it if that is not a glitch. A folder placed in projects launcher would work if that is how you planed it, 5 groups of 10. And makes sense, sorry if I seem ignorant only used it for 3-4 days. 7 days is not enough to find how usable it is by the way.

Perhaps you could attach a little screen recording demonstrating the issue to your post there? You can actually restart the trial once if you need to for a total of 14 days
@@ATastyPixel sorry the sentence about the folder must have confused that copy paste glitch issue. My problem being a need to setup something anybody can use FREE OF COMMERCE; The projects folder is a seperate issue from copy paste. The problem to overcome is setting up something anybody can launch and use contained in a single file for easy distribution via internet. I am guessing about how a set can be developed by adding to a template group limited by there being only 26 letters in the alphabet. I have 50 songs in a printed book that I and other groups use to take the meetings. So using a workaround I can create a folder in projects with 5 sets of 10 songs; #1=1-10 ( 1st loopy default alphabet list A-J), #2=11-20 (2nd loopy default alphabet list A-J), #3=21-30 (3rd loopy default alphabet project list A-J), #4=31-40 (4th loopy default alphabet project list A-J), #5=41-50 (5th loopy default alphabet project list A-J). It is possible to use it as is and quickly cue a particular song but imagine an index menu construct. Cue any song by pressing repertoire - menu (group by group name - index list; from inside a user template. The template would only show a repertoire icon if the user created one.
No trouble the tutes are good. The UK guy his are very easy to follow. He doesn’t leave much out and just to say that group of introductory vids is actually really well done, thorough and not over our heads at all. I do think 7 days is not long enough for the trial. Probably 14 days is preferable. Pay check come in fortnightly and 7 days is not long enough to compare with other daws, production apps and looping methods and all.

Thx for the video. You didnt mention what kind of files you can import into loopy pro and at what sound quality/resolution? I need to import 48khz 24 bit Wav-files - is that posible?....also can you edit the length of the sample within loopy using 15 secs of a 20 sec sample for instance?
You can import anything which is audio; yes to both questions.

Everything I record/loop is clipping and very distorted. I'm using my acoustic and the iPhone mic. I tried moving it farther away. I've tried lowering the input. Help please?
