But some decent songs. (R)evolution: First half of the album is somewhat good, the rest is horrible. Threshold: Overall not bad. Threshold and Natural High are great. Infected: Horrible cover art but pretty solid songs for the most part. Chapter V: Good stuff. Not much to complain. No sacrifice No victory: Some kickass songs on this one. Crimson Thunder: Some true classics on this one. A-tier already. Legacy of kings: No bad songs here. Renegade: Masterpiece Legacy of kings: Obviously number one. Great ballads, great classic Powermetal songs. ----------- BEST

You know what makes Ghost really great? I checked so many album rankings and they are so different. Some albums are the best for some fans and other albums are the best for other fans. For instance look at Iron Maiden (whom I really like and respect), most almost all rankings are like this: Blaze albums, No Prayer... FotD are on the bottom, while Number of the Beast, Powerslave, Seventh Son... are on the top. Most fans agree. However, in case of Ghost the opinion of the fans are so inconsistent and I think this makes the band very interesting. My personal ranking (best to "not the best"): 1. Prequelle 2. Meliora (very close second) 3. Impera 4. Infestissumam 5. Opus Eponymous (you might agree or disagree)

Opeth, Ghost, Cannibal Corpse, Acid Witch, Darkthrone, Belphegor, Satyricon, Witchery.
Acid Witch is a band that isn’t mentioned much. Very interesting, I love the use of some samples from the 1978 Halloween. Thanks for watching and thanks for taking the time to comment!🤘
10. If you have ghost 9. Phantomime 8. Popestar 7. Ceremony and devotion 6. Opus eponymus 5. Infestissumam 4. Meliora 3. Seven inches of satanic panic 2. Prequelle 1. Impera It's really hard to rank this, all of them have jams 😢❤
I actually put together an updated ranking last year that included the EPs and live album but never uploaded it before I stepped away from KZread. I like Phantomime quite a bit and I am a child of the 80s so I was already pretty familiar with the songs. My top 5 remains the same though. Thanks for watching and thanks for taking the time to comment!🤘🤘
Damn so what and more I see are two of my favourites. But each to their own! Awesome vid so far!
No opinions are wrong brother, thanks for watching and thanks for taking the time to comment!🤘🤘
I fucking love monarchy, I genuinely think the main riff from dehydrate is one of the heaviest riffs ever written. At first I thought I thought nothing could get better than where owls no my name but as I listened more I realised that I liked monarchy and the conscious seed of light more. Still haven’t gotten around to listening to the work tho.
The Work is really excellent, it’s a very deep album that gets better every time I listen to it. Thanks for watching and thanks for taking the time to comment!🤘🤘
My ranking for the Testament albums would be🤘 12. Low 1994 11. Demonic 1997 10. The Ritual 1992 9. Brotherhood Of The Snake 2016 8. Souls Of Black 1990 7. Dark Roots Of Earth 2012 6. Titans Of Creation 2020 5. The Gathering 1999 4. The Formation Of Damnation 2008 3. The Legacy 1987 2. The New Order 1988 1. Practice What You Preach 1989
Great ranking! Most people seem to have Legacy or The New Order at number one. It’s cool to see Practice What You Preach get some love. Thanks for watching and thanks for taking the time to comment!🤘🤘
Alongside Death's Individual Thought Patterns this year also had two other solid Progressive Death Metal releases, Cynic's Focus and Atheist's Elements, anyway my list of Albums turning 30 in 2024: 12.) Doctor Butcher - Doctor Butcher 11.) At the Gates - Terminal Spirit Disease 10.) Windir - Sogneriket Demo 9.) Dream Theater - Awake 8.) Slayer - Divine Intervention 7.) Helloween - Master Of The Rings 6.) Stone Sour - Demo 1994 5.) Pantera - Far Beyond Driven 4.) Megadeth - Youthanasia 3.) Bathory - Requiem 2.) Black Sabbath - Cross Purposes 1.) Savatage - Handful of Rain
Great list, I really enjoy the later Savatage albums. I’m a big fan of TSO also, there is a lot of crossover between those albums. Thanks for watching and thanks for taking the time to comment!🤘🤘
@@andjusticeforearl4742 Yeah I feel like Zachary's voice and vocal counterpoint was a great way to evolve the band, also I just realized The Wake of Magellan doesn't have the classic Savatage logo. 🤔 anyway have you heard the scrapped Streets songs that have been appearing on KZread like Beyond Broadway, Larry Elbows, Island of The Kings, Life Goes On and It's Up to You.
@@jordantasevski2993 I haven’t heard those, I will put them on my list to check out!
My favourites are Indestructible and Asylum. But I think I like Asylum a little bit better
Those are both great albums, thanks for watching and thanks for taking the time to comment!🤘
WORST ----------- Hammer of Dawn: Mainstream garbage. Lyrics sound like Ai came up with them. Dominion: Most songs are very uninspired. Nothing special on this one. Built to last: Not much better.
It looks like you are a fan of the early material, which is cool. I’m pretty tolerant of most bands changes in their sound. If I like their early stuff I will usually stick with the changes through their career. Thanks for watching and thanks for taking the time to comment!🤘
5:24 My local libary has death magnetic as that 3d case, it's so cool to see, not sure about anyone else, but for that lyric book it doesn't have a page for my apocalypse. Plus I don't really like the fact that the songs are all mixed up, but still pretty cool cd case.
Yeah, that album cover was a pretty neat concept. Thanks for watching and thanks for taking the time to comment!🤘
Blizzard of Oz Diary of a Madman No More Tears Black Rain Bark at the Moon Ultimate Sin No Rest For the Wicked Scream Ozzmosis Down to Earth Patient #9 Ordinary Man
Glad to see Black Rain getting some love, that seems to be an under appreciated album. Thanks for watching and thanks for taking the time to comment!🤘
Mad respect to the cameraman for travelling forward in time to get Iggy pop to levitate in a prison to use for the album cover
Lol, it does look like Iggy Pop!😂😂
Really like your channel and the format of your ranking videos. Here's my take on Black Sabbath. 1. Master of Reality (Love) 2. Paranoid (Love) 3. Sabbath Bloody Sabbath (Love) 4. 13 (Love) 5. Sabotage (Love) 6. Black Sabbath (Great) 7. Heaven and Hell (Great) 8. Volume 4 (Great) 9. Dehumanizer (Great) 10. Mob Rules (Enjoy) 11. Technical Ecstasy (Enjoy) 12. Cross Purposes (Enjoy) 13. The Eternal Idol (Enjoy) 14. Headless Cross (Don't care) 15. Forbidden (Don't care) 16. Tyr (Don't care) 17. Seventh Star (Don't care) 18. Never Say Die (Can't stand) 19. Born Again (Can't stand)
Thanks for the kind words, unfortunately I have had to step away from making content. I’m not sure if I will ever get back into it. Thanks for watching and thanks for taking the time to comment!🤘
I totally agree! It may have something to do with the audience that Ghost was able to reach with their last 3 albums. In the beginning it was mostly an underground thing, now I see middle school girls wearing Ghost t-shirts🤷♂️ thanks for watching and thanks for taking the time to comment!🤘
My top 10 nearly the same. Will bring in Ram it, Angel and sad wings to expense of turbo, british steel and redeemer. My 2 greatest the same as yours with killing machine nr 3. I like J b Goode cover. Also being 2024 I'll replace angel with Shield in top 10.
I have stepped away from making content for the las year or so, but if I ever do an updated ranking Invincible Shield would make my top 10 as well. Thanks for watching and thanks for taking the time to comment!🤘
2014?
There's two non-album tracks that didn't made into The Lost Children from what I know, Glass Shatters from WWF Forceable Entry (2002) and Loading the Weapon from the second Music as a Weapon live album (2004), anyway my list including the Fight or Flight and Device side projects. 1.) The Sickness (10/10) 2.) Asylum (10/10) 3.) Immortalized (9/10) 4.) Indestructible (8.5/10) 5.) Divisive (8.5/10) 6.) Ten Thousand Fists (8.5/10) 7.) Evolution (8.5/10) 8.) Believe (8.5/10) 9.) The Lost Children (8/10) 10.) Life by Design? (8/10) 11.) Device (8/10) Asylum always reminded me of Iced Earth for some reason.
I’ve never checked out the side projects but I will put those on my list for sure, thanks for watching and thanks for taking the time to comment!🤘
@@andjusticeforearl4742 I checked out John Moyer's other band he had named Art of Anarchy and I like it more than Fight or Flight and Device, their latest album came out in February.
This list sucks 😅
Lol, thanks! Most of my videos have a certain degree of suckage! Thanks for the comment!🤘
My ranking! 1 - The Black Album 2 - Ride The Lightning 3 - ReLoad 4 - LuLu 5 - Load 6 - Garage Inc. 7 - Master Of Puppets 8 - Kill em all 9 - Death Magnetic 10 - Hardwired To Self destruct 11 - 72 Seasons 12 - And Justice For All 13 - Beyond Magnetic 14 - St. Anger
You have an interesting ranking, very different than most that I have seen which is cool. Glad to see Load and ReLoad in your top 5. Those seem to be under appreciated albums. Thanks for watching and thanks for taking the time to comment!🤘
@@andjusticeforearl4742 I like hard rock, classic rock and prog and not so much metal and thrash. So that's why my ranking is a little bit different then other's!
Earl, my ranking is very similar, with the exception of Prequelle and Impera. Meliora is their best album for sure.
If I were to rank them today I would probably flip Impera and Prequelle. If I ever decide to start making content again I would like to do a ranking and include the EPs. Some of those are excellent!
@@andjusticeforearl4742 yes, I had one friend that applies recency bias to everything and Impera immediately became his favorite Ghost album after one listen, Meliora will always be heard to beat, sadly George doesn’t agree with us. 😂 I know that I don’t do as much with my music channel either, but that’s only because my movie channel takes up so much of my time and KZread can burn you out.
Ive watched about 10 different top 10 Judas Priest lists. Its surprising how relatively aligned most of them are. One guy who was nuts for Jugulator, nobody really likes Rocka Rolla or Demolition, Screaming and Defenders are generally up high. Lots of Priest fans are big on Firepower, and now Invincible shield.
Most people do seem to have similar opinions on the Priest discography. To me, none of them are bad albums. I even like Demolition and Nostradamus. Some I just listen to more than others. Thanks for watching and thanks for taking the time to comment!🤘🤘
My ranking - 19 albums: 1 British Steel 2 Painkiller 3 Screaming for Vengeance 4 Firepower 5 Sad Wings Of Destiny 6 Killing Machine 7 Point Of Entry 8 Defenders Of The Faith 9 Stained Class 10 Turbo 11 Sin After Sin 12 Ram It Down 13 Angel Of Retribution 14 Demolition 15 Invincible Shield 16 Rocka Rolla 17 Redeemer Of Souls 18 Nostradamus 19 Jugulator Best live: Meltdown 1998
Redeemer of Souls seems to be a polarizing album. Most people seem to love it or hate it. We seem to have similar opinions on Painkiller though! Thanks for watching and thanks for taking the time to comment!🤘🤘
@@andjusticeforearl4742 As you can see I am not a big fan of band's recent work, beside Firepower. I have overplayed British Steel (like I guess everyone else) but I still think it's their best. ✌️
Will Forbidden warrant a reexamination once the Iommi remix comes out?
I can’t wait to here the remix, but it will most likely still be at the bottom. That is the album that I have spent the least amount of time with. Thanks for watching and thanks for taking the time to comment!
My ranking: 20. Headless Cross(those awful 80's synths kill it for me. Also, for a supposedly'dark' record, I feel a happy vibe from a couple of the tunes. Subtract those two tracks and dim those synths....I'd feel totally different). 19. Seventh Star(it's not bad, it just feels the least like sabbath). 18. Forbidden(not their best, but not nearly as bad as its reputation) - 17. Cross Purposes(having Geezer present makes a difference) 16. The Devil You Know(didn't grab me immediately, it's a grower that kept getting better with each listen) 15. Never Say Die(NOT heavy, nor metal, but it's adventurous, 'outta the box' Sab.) 14. TYR(Annu Mundi 🔥) 13. 13(h I view this as a 16 song project, rather than just the 8-10). 12. Heaven & Hell(The title track is my favorite DioSab tune). 11. The Eternal Idol(very good album, overlook 10. Born Again(Ian and Tony sound phenomenal together) 9. Mob Rules 8. TekEx (being lesser than 1-6 doesn't mean it sucks) 7. Dehumanizer(my fav DioSab) 6. Sabotage 5. SBS -5&6 neck and neck, a hair less than 1-4 4. Black Sabbath 3. MoR 2. Paranoid 1. Vol4
Very thoughtfully done. I like the amount of detail you gave for each release. Fantastic work.
I don't like criticizing rankings, and I'm not criticizing that. But it's kinda sacrilege to say the Zakk Sabbath version is better.
Lol, I wouldn’t say that it’s “better” necessarily it’s just a really well done remake that gives me a reason to revisit these songs one more time.
The Devil You Know is a Sabbath album. It was business shenanigans from Sharon that forced the name switch. But when it's the same lineup as two other sabbath albums, then it's a sabbath album.
this is hard after 15 picks, I was surprised to know Evanescence doesn't have a title track. anyway my list: 25.) Slayer - Divine Intervention 24.) Helloween - Straight Out Of Hell 23.) Iron Maiden - Powerslave 22.) Atheist - Unquestionable Presence 21.) Within Temptation - The Heart of Everything 20.) Judas Priest - Jugulator 19.) Windir - 1184 18.) Dark Angel - Time Does Not Heal 17.) System of a Down - Toxicity 16.) Metallica - 72 Seasons 15.) Pharaoh - The Powers That Be 14.) Sepultura - Arise 13.) Death - Symbolic 12.) Sabaton - The Art of War 11.) Amon Amarth - Twilight of the Thunder God 10.) Black Sabbath - Headless Cross 9.) Bathory - Twilight of the Gods 8.) Blind Guardian - Imaginations From the Other Side 7.) Slipknot - All Hope Is Gone 6.) Savatage - Gutter Ballet 5.) Ensiferum - From Afar 4.) Pantera - Cowboys From Hell 3.) Megadeth - Dystopia 2.) Iced Earth - Plagues of Babylon 1.) Disturbed - Asylum
Nice list, it looks like we have a very similar taste in metal. There are a few that I haven’t heard. I will add them to my list to check out. Thanks for watching and thanks for taking the time to comment!🤘🤘
100% agree!
Oh, covers. First and King is 'Screaming for Vengeance'.
That’s a classic album cover, not just limited to the Priest catalog! Thanks for watching and thanks for taking the time to comment!🤘🤘
Another excellent ranking. Great delivery and production. Maybe the best out there.
Thanks for the kind words, but it has its mistakes. I left it posted, warts and all. Thanks for watching and thanks for taking the time to comment!🤘🤘
Excellent and thorough job.
Thanks for the kind words and thanks for watching!🤘🤘
Great list. I love Judas Priest, been listening to them for some time now. Screaming for Vengeance has got to be my favourite album by them. I think every song on it is great except for Devil's Child. I think Sad Wings of Destiny deserves a lot more love. Perhaps you should listen to it thinking of it as a heavy 70's hard rock album and not expect their 80's metal sound.
Sad Wings was one of the last Priest albums that I bought. Now that I have spent more time with it, it would probably be a little higher on my list. Thanks for watching and thanks for taking the time to comment!🤘🤘
Great video, thank you for all the details 🙂💯
