Their covers were really all over the place. Strange for a band that really solidified what metal was all about, in music and image. Seems like they would have went in a more consistent "Iron Maiden" direction with the font on their logo and album cover artwork. Good ranking... Sad WIngs of Destiny is just awesome, and I would've ranked Ram it Down higher (probably top 3)... Defenders is one of the wildest covers ever, looks like something an amateur high school artist would have drawn on his notebook, LOL... but it has that "sentimental" value

It’s funny how some of these bands that have had such an impact on metal really don’t have that great of album covers. Black Sabbath and Metallica come to mind immediately. But, I do enjoy discussing the entire artwork subject, it doesn’t seem to get a lot of focus on the channels that I watch. And it works well with the format that I use. OMG before I even started watching this I knew Point of Entry was going to be last. I laughed what you said about Turbo with a girl grabbing a guys junk!!😂 of you've ever seen the Best of Judas Priest from Gull records that cover is incredibly cool. Great video as always my friend!

Haven't heard much of this band but that Jugulator cover art is really iconic and it becoming a real comic book sounds quite interesting to me. also respect to them for still continuing after 18 albums, i don't even know where other bands would go with that much albums

You should really check out Judas Priest, I have an album ranking video also. One of the most influential Metal Bands of all time. Painkiller, Defenders of the Faith, Screaming for Vengeance and Firepower are all excellent, Priest has never put out a bad album. Thanks for watching Jordan 🤘🤘

I try to stay away from any of the singles before the album is released, I have heard Panic Attack and I do enjoy that one quite a bit. Maybe I will do an updated ranking sometime next year. Thanks for watching and thanks for taking the time to comment!🤘🤘

Lol! A lot of his lyrics has sexual innuendos. Even the cover of Hell Bent for Leather has the guy wearing the studs and leather which is what Halford wore the the clubs in the 70s. It’s funny that it started a metal trend…. especially when you know where the look originated!

A lot of people seem to like the album cover on Angel of Retribution. I must be missing something because it just seems very generic to me. Redeemer of Souls is really cool though! Thanks again Kevin, I always appreciate your comments!🤘🤘

@@andjusticeforearl4742 For me I think that it's the chromed wings and the fire at his feet; but what I find most striking is the eclipsed sun behind his head. The effect of the "Black Sun" occult reference makes the art seem that much more evil considering that the angel may be a depiction of Lucifer. From the fallen position of Sad Wings of Destiny he rises to inspire vengeance towards God, I guess.

They do have some horrible covers! I was surprised, I put out a community poll for which album covers to rank next. Judas Priest got almost 50% of the votes over King Diamond, Kiss and Iced Earth. I’m convinced that people thought it was for the music! But I don’t mind, album art rankings work well with my format. Thanks for watching buddy!🤘🤘

I don't see many channel posts as I watch on my phone but I'd have voted KD as I really like the album covers that I own by them, then probably Iced Earth as I don't know many of their covers so that would have been cool for me anyway. 🤘🏻
