    Great idea. At least now the new areators have drop down tubing like in a fish tank. I just got one because shaft areator and keeps burning out due to high water etc...heavy rains kill it. Got a simple unit that fits in the lid and has its own pressure alarm. I have the old 4 tank Norweco Singulair with the big bio Filter. Be nice not to spend 475 every year or 2 for a new one.

    Another solution is to have a "trash tank" before the tank where the aerator is, in other words your aereator should not be in the first chamber in the first place.

    LOL....that's so funny that you showed that...I was on the roof cleaning out a line and I forgot to turn the pressure off before extracting the nozzle. Once it reached the top of the pipe the water pressure cut my hand in 2 places, then "flew" over the house to the front yard. It was a sight to see. Too bad my wife wasn't videoing.

    An Aeration Treatment Unit (ATU) does not belong in the 1st Compartment or 1st Chamber of the Primary Septic Tank. If you install the ATU in the 2nd Compartment or 2nd Chamber, it won't prevent proper settling or separation of the solids from the liquid. You only want to Oxygenate the Effluent, not agitate the wastewater, which stirs everything up. Otherwise, add a Secondary Tank specifically for the Aeration Equipment, with an Effluent Filter in the Outlet Baffle, and the water will be basically clean when it enters the Leaching Field.

    Why not just put bacteria kzread.info/dash/bejne/lnx1tKeKqLbTZ8o.html from the bottom of the ocean or the bacteria from our salty boggy marshes that breakdown and consume organic matter and convert it into electrical current as long as you use a non-conductive septic tank and then put a superconductive coating on a conductive Rod or strip of metal on each end of the septic tank to receive electrical current discharge from bacteria to power your house or charge an EV vehicle.

    Septic field - Hydrojetting may clear the lines, but the real problem might be that the gravel is gunked full. Our septic field is 46 years old. How can I find out if the gravel is clogged? Dig? Rent an excavator? $6900 Canadian ($5550 US) is the price quote I got for hydrojetting (5 leaching pipes x 60' each). Should I be putting that money into a new septic system? (~$30,000) If the new field lasts 30 years, that's $1000 per year. Is there any way to predict if hydrojetting will get me 7 years? In this video we didn't see a vacuum sucking the results of the hydrojet backwards. Even with a vacuum sucking at the head of each pipe, some of the material broken up by the hydrojet will go through the pipe's perforations. (I have no idea how big those perforations are.) If the gravel is not already clogged, this will add more gunk to clog it. Problem? Ground-Penetrating Radar can find the location of septic fields. Is there any way to see the density of clogging in the gravel?

    Thanks for the demo, and getting wet to demonstrate the tip action. I assume the green hose is for this purpose, more flexible that the pressure washer hose. Can you list where you got the fitting and green flex hose? Also, would it be possible to connect green hose to pressure washer gun, so there is on-off control. Or probably not necessary, and seems the jets pointing back drive the hose forward, and there is some hand manipulation to fill the hose in and out and twist as needed. Thanks. Great video.

    As a plumber I feel like all pressure washer, sewerage line unblocking tutorials are offering false hope for people with real blockages, as the blockage in this video could be cleared with a line plunger. Blockages can mostly be caused by tree roots, take your pressure washer and your jetting head and see if it can cut some small tree roots, I'd bet it can not. If you wanted to go down this path because you have a pressure washer and your happy to send some money getting hose and attachments then that's ok still probably won't work, but don't buy a pressure washer for this job because it has simulator capabilities to a line plunger. I'm not telling people they should engage a plumber but if you want the job done right pay the person who has most probably spent $50,000 buying the right equipment for the job. Great tutorial and explanation.

    @@googleuser868 I just had my septic cleaned a year too soon because the sewage wasn't reaching the septic. The water was high in the septic tank and we've been having alot of rain. That didn't help so they jet the line and it worked. But exactly a month later it's acting up again. Standing water in the shower and it's half flushing. We just spent $450. from the diagram you seem to be implying that putting drill holes on the top of the pipe is the way to go. I think that is the worst idea ever. You want to have the holes on the bottom of that because the crap is going to plug up the holes on the top.

  • @richabracy
    @richabracy4 жыл бұрын

    Please explain how that will happen if a constant flow of air is coming out of the holes. The holes only obstruct when the air pump has been inoperative for a considerable length of time. In that case no matter how the holes are orientated they will plug up with all the "crap"!

    Thanks so much for this. We purchased a house with this system and know nothing about this type of septic system. Nor we could we find out anything about it. This seems like a great system, in theory, but how does one get a reliable pump that doesn't die every couple of years? The septic with drain field and leech is so much better, from a customer point of view.

    Great invention, but you didn't explain how to test the system to know how much back pressure is present, as you said you would at the beginning of the video when you said "...I've designed a safety valve that will both test your aeration system and protect your air pump..."

  • @trinityacreshomestead4147
    @trinityacreshomestead41473 жыл бұрын

    He did explain. It’s obviously testing “too much” back pressure and over 2.8 PSI if air is venting through the valve so yes, it’s testing the system. If it’s venting air you have a clogged line and the pump isn’t operating at capacity and in fact is under stress. The line needs to be cleared or serviced prior to the pump eventually overheating I assume.
