Thoroughly enjoyed that. I expected a more horrible surface but I can imagine riding that on my Bullet. It would kill my wrists, shoulders and back but ….. Looking forward to part 2!
I was next to you at the start of day 2, I wondered how you'd got on with the Svartpilen, you made it look easy!
Cracking vid this. Well done for having crack at it. I will have a go myself I think next year. BTW, is that a tupperware box you got the road map thingy in? Bloody ingenious that
Lucky Svarty!
Svartpilen was built to do this stuff, its a fine choice.
👋😘
Svarty's more than capable of tackling that terrain👍 Get yourself a set of 25-30mm bar risers to get those bars up higher for standing. Thro a decent set of adventure tyres on, and he's a fully fledged adv bike 👍👍 Also, there are racks and side plates available to attach luggage to him.
lGood stuff. ooks like a lot of fun. i think i might give it a go next time.
And super clever Liz x
Clever svarty x
You and your little bike smashed it!! Well done 👍 nice video xx
Obviously you and the bike are semi competent 😂 but the off-road stuff made me cringe, I think I’d want something very light with nobbly tyres in that situation! Looks a fun but very physical days work.
Look at you standing up and everything 👍 Good job Liz and Svarty 💪
That pothole in the water makes you make that face when you run into an unavoidable pothole and you can hear it's expensive
Wow! That looked like so much fun. And I love that Svarty. 🖤 I want to try this on my inappropriate bike too.
Super excited and all the best 👍❤️ I'm sure you'll do absolutely awesome Ps: happy to see your family taking the journey together
Got this bike Liz, it’s a corker for real world UK roads and tours. Longest ride in one day (so far) 405 miles, for the price I think it represents great value. Thanks for your channel. Always love watching your uploads.
😘🤙
Liz, that bike gels with you better than pinky (sorry)
Probably 😂
Thanks for the video this is one bike I would like to own
Granted, i've never owned a bmw, but 3 weeks sounds mental. I will just take my Yamaha in for a 20k service tomorrow, and i will wait for it in the shop.
It’s got some problems covered by warranty and the 3 weeks is waiting for BMW to respond to them, not a dealer delay 🥲
Really looking at getting of these, I love the blue too, but the US and ther places get a nice yellow, which I'd prefer .. How come that's not an option here?
US and Europe get different colours for lots of things, Yamaha, Suzuki, Shoei are first examples that spring to mind
at 5:10 you said DooDoo. premonition for 8:50. I do really like them grey wheels.
I like the bike but can’t get over the handlebars, it should of had proper clipons like the R7, not those things that look like they were stolen off a passing jet ski.
I’m with you 100%, I too am tired of bikes being marketed as sportsbikes but built to cater to everyone’s comfort. However, this seems to be the way things are going and I can’t fight it so I’m trying to be positive, however, you are right. Even the R7 is not a particularly sporty riding position…
@@R1_Liz even clipons above the yoke would be better than the swan neck things it comes with, plus it would make it possible to modify. If you wanted to change the bars as it stands you’d need an aftermarket top yoke. As you say most bikes these days are trying to be neither fish nor fowl and I’m not sure I like it.
If you won’t to be a better rider do your IAM Advanced course. Better than wheels and front stoppies and getting your knee down that’s not good riding it’s show boating. It won’t save your life.
I’d love to have a go at IAM and I enjoy the training related to safer riding BUT I also want to get my knee down and learn to wheelie. The world is a big old bakery and I want a slice of all the pies.
@@R1_Liz if you contact your local IAM they will give you a free taster session before you buy your course.
I was thinking of getting this bike or possibly the vstrom 800re with the same engine.
Would this be a good touring bike for us that don’t want a touring bike? Thinking a GT version of this might be nice.
Just subscribed to your channel. Can you do a video on how to carry passengers? Wanting to take a few friends for a ride.
Thanks for the subscribe! My insurance on my own bikes doesn’t include pillion cover so I am unlikely to be taking anyone on the back. I have carried pillions in the past and usually once you’re going you won’t even notice a good pillion is there, it’s being stationary that takes a bit of concentration and extra care, and increase your stopping distances. Try to start with someone small to get used to the weight moving around on the back.
In the UK the rules are different. Maintenance is ok if you have a lift and certain tools. Currently at 78k km on my 2019 Ryker rally, on a solo roadtrip heading north. I would not have done this on two wheels solo. Arctic circle will be reached today. 66-33. Then Lofoten. After that, not sure.
So happy you’re finally in Norway and heading north! Hope you’re having an incredible time 💖 temperatures looking good up there for Nordkapp
I wish I could be that organised and travel that light! Hope you and Svarty have a fab weekend 🖤
Record the video in 60Hz.
Glad to see you championing the brand through actually enjoying it. 👍🏻👍🏻
👋😘
Yay! Touring with Svarty. This is what I’ve been waiting for. 🎉
Just treated him to some breakdown cover 🥰
Nice carpet. Enjoy your trip
Hey Foxy hope enjoy our Wales we aren't thieves what you called us at the dragon rally.
Cool bike and Kriega stuff is nice! I'd consider a tarp for rain.
Have a great trip, hope the weather stays good 👍
Have a great weekend, and pic up some map skills off your dad and brother
Have a good weekend camping etc , Take care Liz, Best wishes Roy 👍😊.
Just looked the Rally Moto up. What a great event with lots of off road forestry tracks. I would love to do it but I reckon they would have to put a helicopter up to find me lost in the forests😂. Going to have a really good time with your dad and brother. Looking forward to a video on it.
Everyone gets fitted with a GPS tracker so if someone gets lost I guess they send someone out and know the bikes location, hopefully 🫠
good afternoon Liz,💐, you go girl,💐👍, great stuff and enjoy your trip,🥂💐😎🏴👍
I am glad I am not the only one who talks to their bikes like they are pets. My husband thinks I am nuts when I do it. 😅. Hope you have a fun weekend. 👍
People who don’t do it are missing the opportunity for extra joy
A bit of light touring on Svarty. It's a bike I quietly hanker after. Enjoy and take it easy.
Hanker louder. Svarties are great
@R1_Liz the weather is good here is the east today. Hope it's the same in Wales.
Here's to us people packing underwear like they're planning to sh*t themselves three times a day during each trip!
2 pairs a day, minimum
Great to see you in a Q&A I thought you were great given you said you thought you wouldn't do one 😀hopefuly see you do many more, I thought you looked very confident 👍
👋😘
Great Q&A Liz! Love your point of view on the CanAm. It is fun on its own. I never thought I would ever have a motorcycle until I got my Spyder RT Sea-to-Sky in 2022. Cheers Liz! P.S. that's a great dealership you have there!
