A channel dedicated to the preservation of G4/TechTV's endearing & fascinating retrospective series on various people, companies, & events that helped pave the way and shape the video game industry.
I googled G4 Icons Sid Meier to find out if that cool video on my Civilization IV Behind the Scenes DVD was available online. Apparently, G4 is a KZread channel. How did I not know this until now?

I'm gonna be honest. I love Halo but it's sorta depressing they went from trying different things to exclusively making 1 game. After Halo 1 came out they stopped making any other game besides Halo. It's the George Lucas effect. I guess Destiny isn't too similar tho

The fact that Seiichi Ishii`s name was left out of VF is a damn shame. But I guess being that the main designer for VF1, Ishii, migrated over to Namco to make Tekken 1, then left after Tekken 2...this guy is the real godfather of 3D fighting games. Not to take anything away from Suzuki but no one ever mentions Ishii.

OOT: Best Zelda title of all time. I'm sure sales of all the older titles picked up because of this one, cause I sure wanted to go back thoroughly finish my Link To The Past on SNES and Link's Awakening on Gameboy after beating OOT on N64.

I remember wanting to always wanting to go to E3 back in the day. I first heard about it during the PS days when I got one in '96; back then, I wanted to make games so bad and even wrote up many game ideas back then. I remember getting my first PSM issue in '97, and subscribing to it and getting their E3 issue, and eas just totally floored. Sucks that its no longer around, especially since I live in LA now 😔
