    What material did you use to 3D print that BTA mount? Any issues with durability over the years?

  • @triathlonsushi
    @triathlonsushi3 күн бұрын

    I use PA12 for all my 3D printed parts. I've actually moved on from the BTA mount and now I print my own mono-bar, which is reinforced with a carbon pipe in the middle. If there is not design failure, PA12 is quite good with weathering. I paint the parts though. That gives extra protection etion from sweat and Sun.

    Great video! Always fun to see the people doing this test and digging deep in the pain cave. Btw, I saw the power curve had some small downs and ups a couple times in the middle of the test. I’ve learned this means one didn’t go all out and had some unconscious pacing, so the result might be slightly less accurate. What I’ve found to help reducing the risk of pacing is to cover up the display so it’s not possible to see any time, watts or anything during the test.

  • @triathlonsushi
    @triathlonsushi3 ай бұрын

    I've done the cover up method, but I still get these ups and downs. In the worst case I had a big initial dip after the first surge. That coincides with my weakest spot in my power profile. It probably had some relation to my gear ratio setup too.

  • @triathlonsushi
    @triathlonsushi3 ай бұрын

    I just saw your videos. Yeah in your case you have quite good cadence already. Your priority is the stride length. You probably benefit a lot from B skips. By having more range of movements at your hips to land with more power to push you forward.

    How are you liking that front wheel from Superteam? I've been looking at those for my Trinity. Nice build!

  • @triathlonsushi
    @triathlonsushi5 ай бұрын

    I like it quite a lot. It handles corners and cross wind surprisingly well. I'm thinking about swapping to a new one though. They have a new one with thinner spokes. Also Elite one has thinner spokes and wider rim profile. Giant says the Trinity can accommodate up to 28 mm, I think. It should be fine, but need to check further.

  • @triathlonsushi
    @triathlonsushi5 ай бұрын

    In that case you can try Altra FWD Experience or something similar, which has got a slight drop, so your calves will get used to low drop hight. Or alternatively you can go zero drop only a part of your sessions, so you get used to it without loading your calves too much.

    Yeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaay shoe p0rn <3 About the foams: they just name their foams to the material they use. Good example is the lightstrike pro foam from Adidas, super spongy in the Adios pro 3, almost firm in the takumi sen 9. Or ZoomX from Nike, in the Zoomfly5 its moshy wobbly but, in the Alphafly its spongy and snappy. It depends how the supercritical foam is frothed. Since I'm a shoe geek I dont look at the brands foam name anymore to decide, I watch out if it's tpee, tpu, peba, eva + injection etc. etc. to get a hinge what it might feel like. I had a pair of Joe Nimble and did not like them at all, kinda firm - and I don't like firm shoes, and it fell apart after 2 weeks and only 25km in, returned them, got money back after around 4 months. So not a real experience and definitely not a valid review, I had just no luck. Sadly Hoka is so far away from what the brand was once, the old hokas would have suited you well for sure.

  • @triathlonsushi
    @triathlonsushi6 ай бұрын

    How did it feel to be in a country again where people can actually pronounce your name... Also, what an amaaazing hotel room you had there woooah. And this traffic... oof.

  • @triathlonsushi

    Yeah my name can be a real headache for some announcers who don't know Japanese pronunciations. 😆 One announcer at the 70.3 World Championship could speak Japanese though. He even asked me how I did in Japanese. 😆 If I go to races around Berlin/Brandenburg they know my name as Louis already, so they don't have any problem, but if I go bit further they just get so confused and embarrassed. 😆 I actually had more photos in Japan and Taipei when we came back, but didn't include. Maybe I should do more of these videos. After all I like to travel to destination races. Triathlon has take me to many places where I wouldn't have gone otherwise. And yeah the food too... 😋
