Ironman 70.3 Erkner Bike Course Updated
I did a recon of the Ironman 70.3 Erkner bike course a while back, but they changed the course. I've ridden the majority of the course in the past, but I decided to drive through with cameras, so you get to see what it is like. I could not download the course data directly from their site, so I am not 100% sure if the course was correct, but you get the idea.

I rode the run course quickly now. There is a short cobble section at the end. I uploaded a reel on my Instagram. You can have a brief look. You might have checked it already, but just in case for your info.

It rarely gets windy in Berlin, so I don't think you have to worry about too much. Of course there are some exceptions, but in general it's surrounded by trees, so even on a windy day it's not so bad. Mind you they have modified the bike course, so the course if different this year. In general that area is quite similar, so the overall impression stays the same though. Have fun on the race day! I won't be competing, but quite likely on the course cheering you competitors.

Yes, it will be one of the flattest. Quite few corners though as you can see.
Hi I am competing in this race next September 2023 and wanted to ask you if the ride was cold! i'm thinking a tri suit alone won't be warm enough. Let me know your thoughts and experience please, love your channel!!

It wasn't cold at all, but it all depends on where you are from. I live in Berlin, so it was warm for me, but if someone comes from way warmer climate, better to wear something warmer. It also depends on the weather on the day too. I'd bring some extra like a vest or arm warmers, so in the T1 you can decide. Make sure the extra warmers are tight fit, otherwise they create so much drag. Thank you for commenting! These comments get me going to upload videos.

I'm not competing this year, but usually yes. It is quite essential.
