I tried to access the certification page on your website but it was blank. I have just recently become a certified personal trainer through NASM. My experience with the feet is self cured plantar fasciitis through various barefoot mobility means, including your website. I'm currently in the process of becoming certified through Dr. Emily Splichal's EBFA fitness, BTS 1 & BTS 2 certifications. Once certified there, I would be interested in your certification as well. I see this as the natural path toward improving whole body movement for all. When I switched to a barefoot mindset and practice, the other noted benefits were improved ankle, knee, hip and back strength as well as prior pain issues disappeared. Thank you TFC for your efforts and providing education to help develop this growing movement and re-education on the importance of the feet.

Now discuss the purpose of this "restoration" and how it benefits or hinders life in modern society. Most of us aren't out running through the jungle barefoot hunting for the village's food anymore.

@@TheFootCollective I'm more talking about you insinuating that all shoes are bad for you, and that we need to "restore" our feet as if wearing shoes in general have led us to a poorer state of health. In reality, only ill-fitting shoes are damaging, and there's really no need in modern society to do an exercise like this unless it's to correct an issue that arose from ill-fitting shoes.
@TheFootCollectiveКүн бұрын
@@Shellackle We never insinuated that all shoes are bad for you... fully agree that it is only ill-fitting shoes that are bad, the problem is that the vast majority of modern shoes (including athletic 'supportive' shoes) are ill-fitting, simply due to their shape/style! Also balancing on narrow surfaces like this is a great practice for body and mind, even if you don't need foot restoration 🙏 you should try it sometime, we have a full training system that helps you start and progress on our channel!

Rolling my legs is intense. What do I do if they don't release with the rolling in the session? Just beginning this journey of restoring my feet, ankles, legs and hips. Is it just consistency daily? Make progress slowly?
@TheFootCollective3 күн бұрын
It's almost always very intense at first, especially with the cork roller (if that is what you're using) - you could try out wrapping it in a towel for some extra cushioning at first! But yes other than that, it is just time and consistency and focusing on the breath while you do it. They will never fully 'release' in one session you should notice differences in quality and range of your movements 🙏

My boyfriend can lift his big toe independently from his other toes and he has NEVER trained foot mobility and he always wears improper shaped shoes. He now uses it to flex on me when he is barefoot at home now, because I am training my foot mobility & transitioned to barefoot shoes daily 6 months ago and I still can’t lift my big toe independently without assistance lol. I’ll get there eventually!

Yeah the neuro side is interesting, but the case study she mentions looks/feels horrible running because he’s got weak, tight hip flexors, weak, tight hamstrings, weak, dysfunctional feet, etc. No change in vision is going to create long term fixes where there’s hardware issues.
