    Hello, I am using a trm file and I did the sewing, but when I simulate the buckle it does not have a collision, why could it be?

  • @digitalfashionsalad
    @digitalfashionsalad4 күн бұрын

    In general trims in CLO have no capability to have collision with fabric. They can be attached to a piece of fabric and move together with it, but that's about it. You can import trims as avatar, then they will collide with fabric. But in this case they are static, they don't move in animations or pose change.

    @@digitalfashionsalad By joining a piece of fabric, you mean just resting the buckle on it, right? but when I pretend they separate me, and another question, Are you saying about importing as avatar or trim?

  • @digitalfashionsalad
    @digitalfashionsaladАй бұрын

    Unfortunately CLO doesn't have that ability to make trims interact with pattern pieces. You have them either as ghosts that move through pattern pieces, or as solid objects who doesn't move at all. There is not much you can do. Some set up with pattern pieces and placing trims on them can help, but it is trial and error type of thing based on your specific situation.

    I am able to achieve the Waistband effect as shown in video but the fabric color also changes along woth 2D pattern while adjusting the Skive. But in the vise, the fabric seen in 3D wndow remains the same. I wonder why it happens in my 3D window where the fabric colour is getting changed to Grey colour though I have white colour fabric applied to the top layer (same like how you have same colour in both Fabric 1 & Fabric 2, I have like that only). KIndly clarify me

  • @digitalfashionsalad
    @digitalfashionsaladАй бұрын

    You can check the Trim Display for your 3D Window, could be that 'show bond/skive' is on, that's why you see the fabric turning grey. Mine is off, so it doesn't change color.

    Please check your Garment Rendering Style. If you can't see thickness of the fabric, most likely you are not using 'Thick Textured Surface' Rendering Style.

    many thanks for the great video i somehow have problems after i took the rings out of the freeze they fell together even though i changed them to metal :)

  • @digitalfashionsalad
    @digitalfashionsalad2 ай бұрын

    The metal setting only applies to surface. CLO doesn't have the capability yet to simulate any trims in a natural way, where they interact and move together with the fabric. If you want the trims to interact with the fabric, you either have to keep them frozen or export them as OBJ and use them as hard objects. If you want the rings to move together with the straps, in animation for example. It is somewhat possible I think, but the set-up will be complicated, because the rings will have to be imported as Trims. In this case the fabric can't interact with the rings, so you have to have pattern pieces, that keep the loops in place. This method in video is good for still images.

    What kind of garment are you working on? If you followed the steps mentioned in the video, it could be you have to change fold angles to achieve a sharper fold. Might be that the particle distance is too high. There are many aspects, that can affect how much of the seam you can see, when using this method.
