Yesterday I watched your tut on pleats in the sleeve and as I keep struggeling with pleats, I was happy to see your approach. You do have a very unorthodox way of approaching things, which I really appreciate. I am a pattern maker of 40 years (and counting) and sometimes one tends to be too "glued" to the way you learned to do things, so watching someone finding their own way is refreshing. But I must say, at some parts of your video I crinched a little bit. You should really get into the basics and then add your own twist and you will be great. I learned pattern making based on Müller & Sohn (Germany), but working internationally. They really are state of the art, when it comes to patternmaking. Here is a link to the construction of a classic raglan sleeve. You might find this helpful and it could contribute to your understanding how a raglan sleeve really works. www.muellerundsohn.com/en/allgemein/pattern-construction-for-a-raglan-shirt-for-plussizes/ Although it is for plussize, the principle is the same

Thank you very much for your kind comment and sharing the link, I will make sure to look into it. :)) Yes, this raglan in the video definitely is not a proper one. This approach was shared to me by a patternmaker as an easy way to visualize raglan in 3D. It is more non-patternmaker friendly approach I think, and the aim is to visualize the raglan sleeve rather than having it properly done as pattern.
