I love this so much & I wish that all South Africans especially Black South Africans were listening. All the efforts, sacrifices, compromises and submissiveness that all black people have made, suffered & endured in the "Apartheid Era" under "white supremacy". These ungodly & inhuman people are so much more bitter & much more devious than they have ever been. They will never ever appreciate & accept us as humans. They will always undermine, degrade, disrespect us & see us as their monkeys and baboons & treat us their slaves. The ANC now decided to disrespect what those black Heroes like abo Tat' uMandela, Steve Bantu Biko, Steve Tswete, Robert Sobukwe ... The Sharpsville Massacre ... . We have just been commemorating the Youth Day due to white Bantu education disorientation stuffed through our throats. ANC has blundered & is being so disrespectful & self-serving if they could again allow those whites to control us in this day & age.

It's a very sad situation in South Africa right now because the problem is that when ANC came into power in 1994, they failed to change the constitution and take back land from colonialists and return it back to its original owners and as a result the wickedness of colonialists continues for now, however, a time will when the younger generation will take back what originally belongs to them just like what is happening in parts of West Africa right now.

Quite crazy to think that black people expect white people to undertake a complete denial of their identity in order to participate in the new South Africa. There is no ethnic group in history that has agreed to do this, if indeed it is even possible. My question as a white person, who is not a racists and that strives everyday to be a better neighbour to all South Africans, is would your guest be willing to do the same and denounce his blackness? He is a hypocrite is what I’m thinking, he is privileged and would do everything in his power to hold onto his privilege. How is this black privilege different to what he calls white privilege?

This country needs white representation in leadership. Dr. is just as racist as the white guy on the street. Zuma and Julius had they turn. Julius hates us indians and whites. It's about time we have a white leader in this country.

So if the EFF remain intact with less votes, why then are the DA at their ceiling? Through the eyes of the black man supporting the corrupt. Why not white? Face it, 30 years down the line black government has only succeeded in destroying jobs & creating more poverty, stop focusing on the white man and focus on your incompetence.

Dr Sindane and Sizwe Mpoho Walsh, I have calmed down and listened to the entire podcast and I have tried to piece together the worldview particularly with regards to South Africa. In my final assessment I still think the language of whiteness is unproductive and poses the potential risk of correcting to much to the left or potentially black right, even God forbid Facisist right. I will concede my knowledge of attrocities and historical injustice is lacking and would be skewed to consider the Reglious persection fled from by the Hugonots and the Protestant settlers, to only then be confronted with English colonialism. My concern is your departure from the perception of South Africans as a collective for whom it constitution was created, not just black africans to correct the injustices of the past. The beauty of Mandela and the power he yielded is that he ingratiated himself as a South African for all and not just any particular race. We as a collective is a hodge podge of different minorities and races. From Indians, Dutch, German, Malaysians, Zulu, Xhosa, Venda, Ndabele etc. Any frame used other than this, is destructive in the long term... Even the SAPs Government predating the NP Apartheid government had to make peace with its hatred towards the English and made concessions, particularly I suspect with regards to mining etc. I fear the language you are using has its fundamental outcome being Xenophobia towards actual South African citizens who have no ideological commitment other than being South African. I quote I forget where I recall it from, noted you cannot strengthen the weak by weakening the strong, instead the strong should fight for the strengthening of the weak. We live in a global world where the intentions of outside forces seek to missappropriate what we have for there own benefit, whether it be China, Russia, UK, USA all seek to ensure that their interests are taken care of. Mandela's power was uniting us as one and creating a departure point free of baggage to resolve to seek a future without the tentacles of offense and dispair. I know this my come accross as naive, however what other way is there to live to ensure we create better futures for all. I think my conclusion in previous point remains relevant, have another CODESA 2.0 change the constitution to address the failings of the past, but for the goodness of us all please steer clear of the whiteness nonsense...

It is saddening to see that the people of our country will find any reason to justify and validate racism, regardless of the circumstance. Science requires that we look at history, but science also requires to look at the facts and findings from an unbiased perspective. If one is not able to place himself fully outside of the situation, they must rather refrain from imposing their opinion on others.

I listened with interest to Sindane and was fairly impressed by his clarity of thought. But that's where it stopped. He is a racist and due to his hatred of white folk, by extension an anti-semite, too. Much of his thinking is informed by a biased and sometimes false historical narrative. By his own admission he is a marxist and consequently quite woke which implies truth and facts are of little value to him. Expecting white people to commit epistemic and ontological suicide? Never in his life will this happen (at least not in self-respecting white communities), and perhaps he should pursue his not so hidden desire which is the physical annihilation of white people. Good luck with that one!

DA- ANC is dangerous to those who don't want a free-market economy and job creation. With the confirmation of the DA-ANC alliance the Rand has strengthened. This means petrol price drops, slows down inflation, decrease our debt repayments in foreign currency. All these mean that the man in the street has more money in his pocket at the end of the month which promotes growth. It also means that the government can pay off debt faster and put money to where its really needed. As a developing country, SA depends on foreign funds for growth. Already more funds are flowing into SA which means more jobs.... This has all began to happen and the GNU has not even began to work together. Imagine what we can see if the GNU works? More jobs would be of benefit to everyone.

Dr Sindane, ANC is Centre?? What are you on? Our Bill of Rights and Constitution is principally Liberal and in fact left. Any party that leads South Africa has a prerogative to govern Left. The reason why the ANC lost was governance and corruption and Zulu grievance. I don't think you are analyzing this correctly. These Colonialization taking points are becoming so worn down. The fact is our Constitution is supposed to supreme in order to serve all South Africans, if the Constitution does not serve that purpose, by all means amend it. However you cannot do this in a isolation we live in a global world, if markets, money markets and FDI stops and so we fall into the history books as another failed African country like Zim. CODESA 2.0 is needed, but please steer away from this whiteness nonsense you are doing yourself a disservice and making yourself look like ignorant talking head. Go back to the University and do more research so that you can please have a more nuanced opinion.

Great thoughts. Looking at the perfect case study of Zimbabwe who did all these wonderful things. They had their revolution, they nationalised and kicked out “WMC”. Where are they now?! Last I checked they were flooding into South Africa. If the idea was so great and so effective why are the people of Zimbabwe (who are more educated by the way) so displaced? You need to look at the broader picture of socialism and its effects. It sounds great on paper but in practice what has been achieved? I see people looking at Brics as if it’s going to be their saviour. You are simply going to be re-colonised. We’ve seen some connected Russian and Chinese people already benefiting from this. Destroying our constitution and rethinking will lead you further towards socialism and that is and never has been a good thing despite what people may think. As they say the proof is in the pudding. In order to build the society in which the advocate is talking about would mean people having to turn away money and power, if you look at all our leaders, which one of them would you say would do this?
