    Okay, I'm about to throw all my art products out the window. I've tried pencil sketching and shading (and that's the one I'm best at even if I have to copy some some days) almost 2 years ago and I suck at it and hit a wall so I tried charcoal... nothing....so I tried water color and it's beyond me. I honestly just want to cry. I want to be good at something😢

    Your not alone. I'm struggling too. I don't even know why it's not working. I'm sure one day we'll get the hang of it😊

    From what I understand Kuretake are meant to be used 'as is', so not too layered and straight out of the pan as opposed to like you would with e.g. Daniel Smith where you blend, layer and mix all day. That said, I am glad I found this video as you never quite know what review to believe (most are just sponsored and bleating about how 'awesome' they are without details). For me, these wouldn't work but it was great to see an honest review!

    What do you call that tape?...

  • @IsaBennett100
    @IsaBennett10012 күн бұрын

    Masking tape. It’s used on paper so it won’t ripped the paper. Some people use painters tape which is basically the same thing.

    Great video, I tried watching other watercolor channels and they just kept preaching about letting the intrinsic beauty take over and that you can't control water color. Obviously it's a hard medium but there are techniques like what you showed that have really helped me understand how to take my painting to the next level. Thanks so much!

    This is such good practice: how much water, strokes and patience for it to dry. Charging and glazing are quite a challenge for me. My fave's dragging.
