  it has to be said- that “drug capital of europe” stat is questionable. Glasgow has the most deaths in scotland, but scotland records drug deaths differently (more accurately!) than other nations. Scotland counts any death that drugs played a role in as a drug death, other nations only count overdoses.

  Imagine the time, resources, and money spent investigating these criminal gangs, when sex trafficking rings are increasing at an uncontrollable rate. I'm not saying to disregard their activities, but they mostly wipe each other out with little threat posed to the public. The biggest threat to the public is child sex offenders. And we never hear about how the UK is overrun by pedophiles that either get probation or short prison term sentences. The only reason the system goes after the drug cartels, is because assets are seized and defiance of authority is their greatest crime, not harm or loss of life to innocents.
