Have you ever had this experience of watching a skateboarding trick tutorial and acquire nothing?
In fact, some concepts have been difficult to explain verbally due to technological limitations.
In this channel, you might be able to actually learn something by using 3D models.

bro literally makes a thesis about "How to ollie" in video format. Helpfull!!!
Amazing! Could you make next about "line of sight while jumping over obstacles"?
never seen a skateboard scientist
God I effin' love physics
Love your channel. Niginjin desu ka?
Absolutely INCREDIBLE work.
My issue is that it always goes behind me
working on it. please wait.
Where do you look before popping? Because when I try do that trick, I cant see anything and feel like I'm aiming into the dark. Simply dont know where to move my tail to.
I actually don’t get to see anything. You kinda have to get used to it haha.
What I don’t understand is how my shoulders and hips are square to the board and it turns, yet your shoulders are completely open, almost perpendicular to the board yet it still flops straight
Do front feeble please 🙏
Years?! Wow dude i feel bad. Idk somehow im boutta get it and im new gl tho
Nice one thanks, whole weekend to try this!
What do you mean open and parallel shoulders
Having your shoulders at a comfortable angle always helps. But having them parallel may help you gain more energy to jump up and stability when you crouch.
Ive always heard jump as soon as it pops
DO A HARDFLIP TUTORIAL
I've spent my whole life trying to "jump" when the tail hits the ground. Today is a new day. Thank you.
Don't mind me, Imma just watch this video despite already having heelflip s on lock, I just like these heelflips
awesome! i have regular heelflips figured out, but for fakie heelflips i flip them way too fast. So I must be flicking too much along the x axis.
I either primo or credit card these
Dude thank you so so much for this and all the work you do, really opened my eyes to a lot of stuff. Can't wait to put it into practice!
4:27 This is the Secret Sauce basically any flip. Lift your Knee Up enough for your Foot to Reach the NOSE of the Board, ALL THE WAY PASSED THE TRUCK SCREWS! Bend your Ankle Inward and let the NOSE of the Board smack the Side of your Foot and Push it even further Inward. WITHOUT ADJUSTING YOUR FOOT, Point your Knee Straight Foward, and Push it FORWARD OVER THE NOSE OF THE BOARD. You want your Knee to be Bent at a Sharp Angle that MAKES YOUR LOWER LEG POINT BEHIND YOU, AWAY FROM THE BOARD. While Lifting Up your Knee THE ENTIRE TIME, You want to Very Quickly Unbend your Knee to about a 90 Degree Angle while Kicking your Foot in a way that: YOUR FOOT KICKS DOWN TOWARDS THE GROUND WHILE YOUR KNEE GOES UP THE ENTIRE TIME CREATING THAT BEAUTIFUL ARC AT 4:27.
Hip flexion + knee extension 🤙🏼
So I was taught to hang my toes over the toe side edge of the board and roll the side of my foot up and off the corner of the board where the nose starts. I have also heard people talking about how they actually use their toes to heelflip. I think cupsole shoes make heelflips easier than vulcanized shoes because cupsoles tend to be beefier on the back side of the shoe right below the ball of your ankle is...if that makes any sense.
I think you are doing some of those heelflips with your toes, like I was saying in my comment above.
I hear people say they use their toes to heelflip too, but I feel like it is due to a lack of better words. Everyone that I watch who says that ends up heelflipping with the side of their foot between the heel and pinky toe, like right next to the knuckle of the pinky toe. I'm not sure if this part of the foot has a name. Thinking about using the toes to heelflip helps me land them better, but my toe never touches the board, it's always that side part. The most important part of almost any fliptrick though is getting your foot all the way to nose before you flip. All the way passed all 4 bolts! The way I taught myself to heelflip that works best for me, is I hang my toes over the edge of the board like you, but I pretend I'm doing a kickflip while keeping my foot on the heel side of the board at all times, even during the kick, and I intentionally let the board cock my foot back and make my knee bend and point my leg towards the tail when I pop just like he describes in the video at 4:27. My foot gets bent back like that when I kickflip and it makes them level out so good when I kick. For some reason, for me personally, this is the only way I can actually catch some nice flat(opposite of rocket) heelflips pretty high off the ground, like above my waist.
Hardness of shoes, huh? Excellent point. Will think about it more.
Good work
Excellent advice. Weight distribution is rarely talked about when teaching but it's very important.
definitely. when i was learning ollie’s the moment i started putting weight on my front foot they smoothed out. Something i figured out after do A LOT of research.
Been struggling with switch heel. This came in no better time! Great vid
The answer is usually because they are leaning their body away from the board too much. When they jump, it is not up and down. It has a small sideways motion which makes them not land on the board. Board behind my body, usually means they are leaning their body too far forward which makes them land in front of the board.
話のネタをありがとうございます。 確かに。重要なポイントですね。
Yesss finally
Thanks for tutorial, mate! That was very helpful for my students!
Your students?
Treflips have always been difficult trick for me. I have landed them before, but not a go-to trick for me. I'm going to try relearning, but with no front foot flick and see if it makes it easier. Ty for this video
great video man what about the science of noseslides? frontside and backside, in all four stances!
You may or may not have done this already but I would love to see simulations like this with rkp trucks (longboard style trucks). With lots of variables, like off set, wheel base, height, angle etc. Especially displaying forces needed to turn in the different cases. That would be awesome ❤
I developed a Physics Simulator where you can simulate skateboard setup of your choise. Will work on to reflect the wheelbase adjustment function whenever I have time. whythetrick.io/skateboard-physics-simulator/
This is the most annoying part of skateboarding to me.
You should 1. License that app 2. Include the skateboard in the model, respectfully
Awesome video bro! Thanks for the precission of all the description. Thanks a lot

Wow 🤩 Awesome!
I am in love with this channel. Thank you ❤😭
Jump before you pop is the revolutionary advice here. Can't believe no one else said it before!!
When i do ollie is to: Squat Pop Slide
Love you, you really are putting to work the best ideas since the beginning
Thank you. I'm working on something even better. Will let everyone know once it's ready.
can you make a tutorial on how to kickflip or doing trick in general higher?
A slappy it is not And you just mentioned it! Nice to find your channel
ive been srtrugeling with 360 flips for a long time thaks a lot
Jump like a frog , pop like a horsekick, fly like a bird Be a man and do an ollie 😂
This is the exact problem with my kickflips and heelflips, I’m trying to lean heel side, jump backwards, and lift my heels but it took me all day to land a clean kick flip, how do I jump back further and more? It feels like I’m jumping backwards but I’m not that much
Leaning on the heel side helped fix the problem, and also lifting both my heels to get a clean land helped to land clean.

That 50-50 was smooth AF dawg. Definitely was high and stylish on that one.
This might be the best skateboard tutorial I’ve ever watched
thanks
