17 years ago, I discovered my joy in school bus driving. The joy I have found on the bus and with the kids, is immeasurable.
Enjoy the journey! :)

Do you think you could do a live you tube stream of a shcool bus inspection in real time?
Hello, Julius… I will see what I can do to make this happen.
Any updates as to when we will see the new 2024 school bus full inspections and do a video analysis of what happened with the school bus crash in Texas and explan why do buses flip over.
I have been away for awhile, so I will have to look into the TX incident … If I find anything out, I will post it.
I don't run school bus stop signs. I don't get why people don't stop when the red lights are on and the stop sign is out.
I don’t understand why people choose not to stop for school buses either.
Finally, I found a video on orth buses. It very rare to find these types of videos
First let me say that you need to be less talk and more decisive descriptions as in the required definitions of the test.Your babbling as though speaking with 5 yr olds.Too much outside the requirements. You would have me in a coma ,...keep it short and to the point.Get with an actual tester she's gonna be finish while your half way into your novel".
This is a training video for people learning the engine parts… the pace was slow and deliberate, to give those unfamiliar with engine parts a more detailed explanation of location and function… I have numerous pre-trip demonstrations videos highlighting the exam process. Please leave comments with relevance. Try reading the title , genius.. it’s clearly defined.
New found levels of respect for School Bus drivers. Honestly Trucking is nowhere near such anxiety being we haul cargo NOT lil children. The only issue is Truckers are never home &/or hard to find Daycab local routes
TRUTH is that drivers are careless & do NOT respect neither Truckers &/or School Buses. Truckers know this to be TRUE hence we takeover the roads blocking traffic for fellow Truckers cuz otherwise they give us no ability to enter lanes & such
TRUTH… too many drivers are distracted to the point of causing serious harm to others. We can create as many laws as we want, in an attempt to protect and prevent destructive behavior…BUT…if there is no enforcement of the laws, the behavior will not change and we will continue to see more and more destructive behaviors resulting in more incidents, accidents, and fatalities.

What about them?
I have a CDL class A alrdy but I am currently training atm w/ a School Bus company to get my P/S endorsements to work for them. The Pre Trip and the Air Brake, Emergency Brake & Service Brake Tests are all identical. 90% of all the items you went over are the same as well including under the hood & the sides + underneath the Bus. Apparently I am relearning everything once again, all over again, such as names of components & proper wording but w/ extras specific to School Buses. 👍 thx for the upload 👍
You’re welcome 😉
Great video! Learned a lot!
I can’t wait to test out this method
She fail, were is her crop bar used to point not your hands
Not needed in Ohio… not a fail. Which state are you in?
Hey I watched this video several times and I just passed my CDL-B school bus test on 6/5/2024
Congratulations! I am thrilled to learn of your successful test outcome! Continued success in all you do. 😃
Therese your are wonderful, well done.
Thank you… so glad to learn the video was helpful for you.
I just passed my pre-trip inspection and just got my Class B license
Outstanding news! Thank you for sharing your positive test outcome with me! Continued success in all you do.
Great lesson. I was a Class A flatbed OTR driver and sucked at backing. Thanks to you and this video, the first time I followed your technique it was like a walk in the park. Needless to say, I passed my test with flying colors.
Your comment made my day! Congratulations and well done! All the best to you! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
You try
I have, on many occasions… works every time
I remember when my school bus driver gave us a ticket that we turned in every Friday to our teacher to redeem for ice cream
Nice bus driver!
Good morning from California. Do you have a video for California Type 1 school bus?
I do not know CA regulations.. check with your local DMV for details. Sorry I cannot be of more assistance.
outstanding railroad procedures.
Thank you very much!
Nice woman 😍
Thank you! 😊

I passed my assessments today. Thank you for the helpful videos
Hello Therese. This is Cathy and it is nice to meet you. That really hurts the teacher’s feelings when any student tells any teacher that any teacher is in the wheelchair after the teacher especially at the school just got paralyzed.
When will you do new school bus pre trip inspections videos for 2024 . Also can you do an analysis of the tragic school bus crash in Texas a few months ago and what can drivers do to prevent accidents
Hi, Julius.. 2024 pretrips will be done over the summer… I will see what I can find out about the TX SB fatality.
I understand that the woman was an instructor, but I would have told her straight up to get her tail in a seat when the bus is moving!
Very well explained video. Helps a lot for my pretrip coming up.
Question: do you mention the transmission? How you would check it after the bus has been run
Not necessary in the state of Ohio… so, not mentioned
Thanks you always 😃😃😃😃😃
I start training may 13th and I’ll be watching this video over and over until I can recite it with you! Thank you for this video.
Best wishes for a successful test outcome! You can do this! 😁
😮😮😮😮 it
17:20 this sound is so annoying
Where are the links you talked about
Which ones are you looking for?
I believe they are in the comment section, but if they are not, tell me which links and I will repost them in this comment thread.
I had to do the same stuff for my Canadian truck license. The more you practice the more you’ll remember. I got my Canadian cdl a year ago.
super Excellent Teaching
Well hello Therese! I hope your doin good. As always these videos are great!! I had been off of Facebook and YT for a long time until a couple months back. Still tryin go get everyone re added. Still 25 in the state of Tenn before I can drive a school bus but luckily I’ve been working with a trainer to get my CDL and P endorsement then when im 25 I’ll re test to get my S endorsement. I love my blue birds so it’s perfect to have this one for demonstration!!
Welcome back! I know you will achieve your goals…you’ve got this!
❤
I'm very thankful for you. You helped me get my CDL from the 1st shot. and I'm now a school bus driver 😊
Thank you for sharing your positive results with me! Congratulations and continued success to you. 🎉
Hey can you rent a transit bus in the state of Ohio
I’m not entirely sure… my gut says not likely, due to insurance and licensing regulations.

You have mentioned this before. Not sure what you are referring to
I’m in the midst of training for my CDLS and this whole time I’ve been repeating your pre trip videos for a conventional bus and I’m taking the test in a front engine transit please make a video for this particular bus. Your channel is very helpful
Working on it… thank you!
Leave your selfphone away when you're driving or training in a public street. If not for your safety but for the others safety
I was a passenger… filming the right hand maneuver. Otherwise… very sage advice.
You're allowed to cruise your hands handling your steering? Here in Canada is a mistake
Cruise your hands?
Very thorough!
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Here I. California we do things a bit different, here’s what’s different : 1)You didn’t to do the eclectic part of the brakes(abs light check) 2) when doing a service brake check, DO NOT TOUCH THE STEERING WHEEL !! 3) you need to check that how fast your compressor pumps air , cut in cut out PSI( between 85psi to 100psi, by timing it) 4) @3:03 It SHOULD not move more then 3psi per minute 5) we need to check governor cut off pressure at 120-125psi( to make sure it doesn’t go to 150 psi to trigger asafety valve . 6) you got to comment out loud on every step you do. Thank you for a great video
Hands off the steering wheel here would be considered an unsafe maneuver and an automatic failure. You need to maintain control of your vehicle at all times. Thanks for your comment and feedback… always enjoy learning how other states conduct their pretrip.
You’re kinda sexy and very informative 😉
When you back up a school bus, do you have to give the bus gas for it to move? meaning in reverse? Thanks.
It will depend on the surface the bus is on, if there is a slope, etc. an upward slope, very likely a downward slope… probably not.
You are so thorough! Are you able to do a video like this for a Class C school bus?
Thank you
I do not have access to a class c school bus., unfortunately.
Well done! Great instructor!
The greeting is not hi Should be good evening We saw you yes if you want us to see you
If you’re watching the video in the morning… good evening would not be appropriate…watching during the day…also not appropriate… hi, is just a generic informal greeting. Thanks for your comment and feedback
