I was waiting for the biblical explanation but you failed to produce any significant biblical resources. Why is John MacArthur's positive influence on the body of Christ so readily used as a defense against the charges levied against him? King David was far more integral in God's plan of human redemption than MacArthur, yet Nathan the Prophet had no problem confronting him for his heinous sins involving Bathsheba and Uriah. Likewise, the Apostle Peter's ministry carried far greater weight than MacArthur's, yet Paul had no difficulty with rebuking his fellow apostle for hypocritical behavior among the Gentiles in the presence of religious Jews.
Two things: Allie Beth Stuckey has a tendency to accuse everyone who disagrees with her blind support of John MacArthur a "progressive." That's her go-to move, like MJ's fadeaway jumper! On Whitlock: I extend him a lot of grace because he's trying to surround himself with people from different theological camps. I don't know that he knows all that happened at GCC with the Gray and Guay situations, and in this case I believe that he was just talking about the story that is in the news.
And I don't think Whitlock fits into the same category as DB Harrison or Virgil Walker. But that's just one man's take. It's just hard for me to judge him by the same standards as some of the others.
I used to be a regular listener of the Just Thinking Podcast. Stopped when I found out what you have shared here. And now I will also unfollow Stuckey. How sad.
What were the sins of MacArthur?
Covering for abusers, supporting a convicted CM who committed the crime while on staff at GCC, and excommunication of an abuse victim while keeping the abuser in the church in good standing. That’s all covered in the live/video and it's crystal clear. Respectfully, if you have ask this question you either didn't pay attention to the information presented or you simply don't want to accept the facts about MacArthur.

Regarding the length of my videos, it's unfortunate that Christians aren't willing to do their own homework and take the time to mine for truth but want the truth quick fast and in a hurry like their order at Chick-fil-A, but God doesn't want us to operate like that. The way I see it is like this: If we have no problem attending a game to watch our favorite team play for HOURS or sit in a theater or at home and watch a movie for HOURS just to be entertained, that has NO eternal benefit for our souls, why is it a problem for Christians to watch my videos that will edify and benefit them eternally? #SELAH

I'm right there with you, Saiko - it does hit differently now that we're on opposite side regarding Corey's stance on John MacArthur and the victims of Jmac's leadership; it's a trip to hear truth coming from someone who does not hold to the truth anymore regarding the cases against Jmac. Talk about a smoking gun though when you said he gave biblical reasons for Jmac to step down but Corey has yet to give biblical reasons why he does not have to step down! Wow! 👏

Thank you. This discussion continues to be so needed. Oh that these men and women will wake up. They don't understand the half of it and at the moment I don't believe they care too. What is it going to take to wake them up to the facts. I remember when I came out from under the prosperity monstrosity. I was busy researching the people who I had listened to, after waking up to some portions of false teaching used to manipulate the masses into wealth creation for themselves. ( The Prosperity leaders ). I came across the Wartburg Watch, and read a very interesting and horrifying article on someone represented as Jane Doe and her horrifying experience at masters seminary. I had no idea what this place was or who John MacArthur was. Soon after I heard a sermon by John MacArthur titled Abusing the Poor. I had never heard a sermon ever by anyone who did not talk on the widow's mite in any way other than giving, not as a child when my own father preached it and not as an adult in the manipulative way the prosperity/NAR preached it. This sermon was full of compassion for the widows, and Christs anger at those spiritual leaders who manipulated and merchandised the people to fill their own bellies. I continued to listen to this pastor for a time, and his associates, but some things he and others said started to trouble me, and also attitudes that came through . I realised I had done exactly what I had done when I was a Word of Faither/Prosperity/NAR. I had not researched the people I was listening to, had not been a good Berean. It was then I started to connect a few dots. I vaguely remembered the Name of John MacArthur was in that article I read in The Wartburg Watch. I went back there to seek it out, re read it and found other articles and a recording of a talk he gave, all equally disturbing for different reasons ( one was to do with The Seminary's accreditation status ). This man who Justin Peters had explained was so humble in one of his talks, was not the man he seemed to portray in his sermon on Abusing the Poor. This man was the polar opposite. Not doubting the reporting of Dee Parsons, but needing to really seek out who this man was as a Pastor, teacher, leader, Author, who seemed to hold so much power, authority, knowledge, respect, and almost idol worship, I looked for other articles, both for this man and against. I found plenty of information on both sides of the debate. Much of it was very disturbing. I discerned that there was far too much that was wrong in the MacArthur camp, and far too many who were ignoring what was wrong, vilifying those who told the truth, and not only defending his injustice toward others, particularly young women, but also idolising a man who had seriously problematic issues, was not humble, but rather arrogant. A year or so later and no longer listening to JM, the Eileen Gray case broke along with the story of Wendy Guay shortly after. I was following different blogs of reformed women. I was horrified at their defence of JM when anyone spoke against his treatment of Eileen Gray. And as Horrified at the way they spoke of and vilified Julie Roys, Who up to that point I really knew nothing of either. It was disgusting, so disgusting I unfollowed them. I listened to the Julie Roys haters and the JM idolaters, ( I try always to get a broad and informed perspective and not make rash and unjust judgements ) and was sickened by what I heard and read. To this day I am still sickened by it, and it just gets worse. I am no fan of Robert Morris. I cottoned on to his manipulative preaching soon after I was told by a friend what a cool preacher he was, However I just knew the reformed JM team were just going to come out with their claws out on this one. And sure enough seconds after the story broke everybody was on it. Crickets on John MacArthur's injustice's of course. I read something today about JM that I believes sums everything up well. I am not sure exactly who to attribute this quote too. "He (JM ) has built an empire of cruel people who grovel at the feet of the master and allow for the abuse of women and children."
Allie straight up said she was a “huge fan” of MacArthur. To me, she basically disqualified herself from having any real objectivity on the issue. When you’re a whole fan of somebody, you will tend to overlook the very things you should be paying the most attention to. I think it’s dangerous for any of us to be a “fan” of a Pastor. I just saw clips of lecrae's video confession about his attendance at these parties as a "missionary." I don't plan to go over to LeCrae's channel to watch. IMO, the video was an attempt to cover his tracks. Per usual, he was making excuses & expressed zero contrition for attending such "industry" parties. Certainly zero repentance.
