First timer here, the ask for comments, I am way in the beginner days. Your input an sugges are great!! My suggestion is to may e use a pencil an mark the area the camera sees that way you stay in the middle of the box? And you can erase it after.
15 minutes for 4 holes and a rope through :) Too bad i don't smoke weed, otherwise it'd be extremely entertained. Beyond all that, great tip, mate.
Brilliant. So straightforward. Thanks. 👍
Good as gold pal 😊👍
You can put it in a microwave for about 15-30 seconds. It makes it much easier to spread around . It also lasts a while so the paste is available to use easily in the future. I use these pastes all the time and fine them to be the best one can find
Good advice, I've been thinking of trying these and heard they're thick.
Excellent video. I’m just starting out wood carving, and your explanations and inspiration were spot on.
🍀♥️🙏🍀♥️🙏🍀♥️🙏
I sold 50 of these for $20 each 😂😂😂
A demo would have been more beneficial than all that yacking.
Looks good . what kind of wood do you have. Jim's wood shop.

Really nice
Do you need to be concerned with the core of the tree your carving on when it dries? I have found that leaving the core often but not always results in the item splitting down the road. Your thoughts on this?
Just found you, what carving knives do you recommend?
Bingo!
One of the very few animals (owl) that will not kill you in Auzzie land....outstanding,,,thank yas!!
Thanks very good سپاسگزارم خیلی خوب بود
KZread's zoom feature is quite handy for seeing what you're doing.
Great job, I really appreciate the time you spent
Very good we are just beginning
This looks exactly like what I need for my carving projects. I found this when searching for a wood carving clamp/vise.
subscribed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wow! You really globbed that on. Too much waste/overkill .I assume you learnt that by now.
Lovely. Thank you.
Just starting carving and only have a stanley knife but Christmas is coming so hopefully there'll be knives involved this year! This was a really helpful video and I've done my first wood spirit. Many thanks for all the tips here.
Really enjoyed watching your video 🤩 definitely going to be trying to carve a Owl🦉 🥰🥰🥰 Keep up with the great work 👍
Thank you. What good teaching for a beginner carver. You’re really good at sharing your knowledge. I wonder if you’re still out there teaching - your videos are really good!
Glad I found this! Simple and clever enough to give my old hands a rest while protecting my thighs. Appreciation from an old woman just starting to carve. Thank you!
I'm 68 (November last year). I have just finished my first spoon. I LOVE it and think it came out GREAT but OW! - my hands are SORE!!!
Great job but alot of the carving we couldn't see it was off camera. Keep them coming.
I would love to make this! I have whittling knives. At the beginning you said the sticks had dried out. Do they have to be dried out to whittle them, and if so, for how long should they dry?
I did some many years ago on a chopstick.
I love these little mushrooms. What sort of wood are you using there. Could you recommend a type of wood for beginners who want to tey this. Cheers mate 👍
Thank you for your video. It was helpful in my quest to learn to carve.
A nice little project for beginners like me. Thank you
Just carving some 🍄🍄🍄& want to progress to faces & 🍄spirit's ❤😅
I was doing this with a dull knife, and I cut myself badly. No crocheting for me for a week or two. Make sure you wear carving gloves and have a sharp knife.
Thanks for the basic eye. I whittle 4 1/2 “ gnomes, there isn’t much room to do anything fancy
Amazing video and project mate, Can't wait to try it!!
Does it have to be a tree with green bark? I don’t know what kind of trees are around my house
You need a wood that's very "juicy" and full of sap so that when you bruise the bark it separates from the wood. Happy whittling!
I did my first wood carving today -and follow your video. Don't get magical, but was fun and try a new tomorrow.. Great video. ❤
I only use a belt strop with diamond paste and IMO you use far too much pressure, only the lightest of pressure needed cause you're just polishing the edge and I just hang mine off a hook as they're intended. Nice to hear an English voice for a change here on YT.
It looks like you could use half the amount to do the initial coating. Nice touch on the 3 part strop system plain, 8000, 4000.
Great job! Thanks for the video.
Is the pencil a standard size or a jumbo
Spectacular video. Going to give this a try
Nice little project thanks for showing, just found you so liked and subd ,Ant from Wales.
Brilliant guide, I've just got into whittling and this helped me out a lot!
I went through it twice, cut for cut, and you really helped me figure it out. I feel good about this design now. Thank you!
1st time seeing these made, though heard of them 50+ years ago. Next try to make one !!
