FK blizzard, I was duped into buying WC3 Remaster on day 1, they took my money and gave me an offline 'bugged' version? I played it anyways and got my fix, a week later it wouldn't even start up anymore. No customer support no refund, they couldn't even find a reciept on their end showing I owned their fake digital product. My bank record don't lie, I paid full price for NOTHING.

Do you know what is awful out this business model? They could easily take an extra year or two to park on the games in development. Then on those off years, they could just release the older games on Switch online
The only time people complain about league is because of the people. It's very easy to negatively impact a game on purpose. The game itself is super well designed and fun

Modding is a double edge sword. On one end, it is the easiest way to keep a game alive for a long time, with minimal to no effort. On the other end, you never know what is modded into the game. example, take a typical WW2 themed FPS game. When allowing modder to roam free, the possbility are endless. We have the harmless mod of adding a zombies, knights or spaceships. We can also have the R21 mod of female soldiers in bikini on the battlefield. We may also find the definately-should-not-be-modded Nazis and gas chambers. That is the core isse, we dont know what the modders will make. As such, I propose that modding should not be restricted, but must be regulated.

Activision was making twice as much in 2022 as 10 years ago. Clearly the problem is not the greedy corporate tactics, but rather the crowd that keeps buying in no matter what.... And we have to to be honest here between the kings of the MMO genre, there is a gulf that no other other developer is even trying to pass. People dont want a new MMO unless is completely blow its competition out of the water and even then some people will still hang on the old game because of sunk cost. If everyone cancelled their subscription tomorrow to World of Warcraft, we would get a new one real fast.

Arcane made me wanna try out the game, love the show but it just looks so confusing and weird with the camera angle of the game… so haven’t tried it out yet

building a pc is expensive, but is waaay cheaper in the long term, games are more cheap, and upgrading overtime sometimes is really accessible

My only real complaint about Valve is I still think one of the updates they did for TF2 a few years back ruined its look. Other than that, I can’t help but respect them. They try to do things differently from other dev companies. Their quantity may be on the smaller side, but the quality is top notch. The wait is agonizing, yes, but at the end of that line is a release that will most likely go down in Internet and gaming history forever like Half-Life and Portal both did.
He I worked at heroes of newerth s2 was honestly great but charging on release was dumb S2 heroes weren’t that hard though. Thunderbringer was super easy for example League is trying to sell 500 dollar skins now so guess will see how that works
When (or if) I ever make a game, I want to make sure that by the first month of release that people will have already modded in anime girls and/or Thomas the Tank Engine to my game. That's how much mod support that I want to add to my games.

I mainly play games alone and not in multi-player so modding for me just makes gaming more exciting and fun. And the stuff is free usually so no need to wonder if I'll be able to buy a DLC this month or have to wait.

Even if cloud gaming becomes more reliable in the near future, who the hell wants to game on a lower latancy compressed fidelity rather than running everything natively? There's a reason why cloud gaming is going to fail. Microsoft is being Microsoft and theyre just trying to embrace and extinguish their competition like they always have but it's not working with the gaming market due to the consumer base being a bit more intelligible compared to the plebs they usually prey on.

To be fair Blizzard has long had problems. I mean most their games came out super successful, and then they would wait a decade to make a sequel. Diablo 2 to 3 was 10 years I believe, same with Starcraft to SC 2. Warcraft a super popular series all but died after World of Warcraft came out. While the MMO was insanely popular, it didn't really mean the RTS had to die either. I think the "Quickest" sequel was Overwatch 2, it came in about 8 years after the original? Though it was in most peoples opinions a joke and broken. So yes while key people leaving hurt, they were failing before the "core staff" all left.
