Learning to speak a language isn't about cramming word lists and grammar drills. Our programs, powered by the Conversation Based Chunking™ method, help you absorb language patterns so you can understand native speakers, have fluent sentences roll off the tongue and chat away. All in 15-20 minutes a day!
Our method:
- Real-Life Conversations
- Innovative Methodology (no word lists and grammar drills!)

Hola un tema muy confuso para mí pero se dice que la practica hace el maestro gracias por este video
¡Muy útil, gracias!
Maura...thank you for speaking and explaining your ideas in english..you speak real well with both tounges lol.
This was a tough reminder that as much as I (think I) know, I still comprehend only about 10% of Spanish spoken by natives at their normal pace. Lessons are one thing. Real life conversation is another thing altogether unfortunately. Grrrr...
gracias!!!
ok. this is a good one. I will still probably get it wrong 30% of the time. After I watch this one another time or two I will have a better grasp of it.
gracias!
! Feliz dia del Padre para todos ! Paulicima, mira porfa, la frase... Porfirio Diaz FUE el presidente de Mexico por muchas veces... ? Es correcto ? Gracias

Great video! It's sad that there are so many ignorant people in the world.
Well Spanish people sound annoying when they talk.
Easy letra for me . I dont even know why KZread is showing me this
Something to consider when making videos for Spanish learners: be very careful with adding music to the video (or just don't use music at all) because it adds another layer of difficulty to understanding what's being said. I would have liked to watch this video to train my listening comprehension (I cover up the subtitles) but it's too difficult for je now with the music. The music and Lukas's speaking volume are about the same, and Lukas's voice pitch is in the same spectrum as the music, so it all blends together making it very difficult to comprehend. The content of the interview is very interesting to me, so I'll probably try to watch it again in a couple of months when my Spanish has improved. But yeah, please keep this in mind!
Sí, este tipo de lección es como mi vida real aquí en México. Escuchar unas 5 veces ayuda. Parecen muchas palabras de relleno y al revés del orden en inglés.
I don’t understand doing the whole video in Spanish. If we are looking to a verb we are probably not fluent.
Me gustó muchísimo
Gracias
I always struggle with fast, real, Spanish, which isn't spoken clearly - at least not to my ears. I can understand Intermediate, clearly spoken Spanish very well. I'm told I need to listen more to fast, mumbled Spanish and I will start to understand, well, I don't. I can't hear so many of the words, but can understand when I see the text. Looks like I'll be stuck at Intermediate level para siempre.
Same deal with many people in The Philippines 🇵🇭. I live in San Francisco 🌉 I meet many Filipinos and Latinos. I visit The Philippines 🇵🇭 for many years including 2022, when I was recently there.
Estoy agradecido por este video. Mil gracias.🎉
Sounds like Mexican taboo topics are exactly the same as U.S. topics...well except the last one as it would be ok to say you don't like hamburgers while in the U.S.
Michael gracias. I love this language and want to learn. ❤❤❤
Pauli...te ves espectacular con ese outfit ❤
Teaching Spanish in Spanish is hilarious to me
Hola, fue realmente claro. Me gustan las explicaciones en español. Hace que tu cerebro fucione. Ciao
¡Hola! Me alegro mucho. Gracias por compartir eso con nosotros. ¡Un abrazo! - Maura =)=)=)
I know that the lack of English subtitles can make it challenging for beginners to follow, but I also appreciate opportunities to practice listening to slow Spanish, so thank you for the great content! I actually understood the majority of what you said, woo hoo!
That makes me SO happy! I hope you reaaaaally enjoyed that feeling of being able to follow along. It's the best! Thank you so much for sharing 🤗 - Maura =)=)=)
mucho ejemplos!!!
Siiii, jaja. Es necesario 😅 Un abrazo James - Maura =)=)=)
jajaja la tóxica
Watching my slangs hahaha
I'm currently progressing through the Foundations course and this is the first of your videos that I have watched. I think that the content would be very beneficial for me as a beginner BUT as pointed in a previous comment I really need to have at a minimum English subtitles. I would say if you were at the proficiency level to understand the explanations then you would probably already know the differences between Que and Cual. I would say those at the beginner level would be the audience that would benefit most from your videos but not having at least a version with English subtitles is a mistake. Your course lessons have English translations so should the videos in your channel.
Go to your viewing window in KZread and hit the “cc” button. Then go to the gear symbol pull-down and in the “CC” select the auto-translate option. Select English as the target translation language. Problem solved. Bonus: you can also select Spanish if you want to read what she is saying in Spanish.
¡Holis! We hear you but we had already produced a few videos with our previous format that we cannot waste. As per your request, for future videos we are bringing back subttitles for the examples and exercises. Thanks a lot for the suggestions! ¡Un abrazo! - Maura =)=)=)
MAURITA!! HOLA. I knew that que was what/that and that cuál was which, but I did not the rules about it. The examples were very good. I love your multiple choice exercises. Haha. For me, cuál and que just sound right where they are supposed to go. Estoy muy agradecido por tu arduo trabajo. ❤
¡Holis! I'm glad you like the exercises. It's tough helping you practice through a screen 🙈 ¡Muchas gracias! Lo aprecio un montón 🤗- Maura =)=)=)
disfruté mucho este video
¡Me alegra un montón leer eso! Gracias, gracias, gracias - Maura =)=)=)
The first two messages - no problem. In #3, just understood alberca & Frank, 3.5&4 & 7. In #4, ceros. #5 understood Cancun & Tulum & tia. In #5, did you speed up the playback speed? I understood all the messages with the Spanish subtitles in #3 to #5. Without the subtitles, so very difficult to understand. Spanish speakers speak around 8-9 syllables per second, whereas, English is in eight place with around 6-7 syllables spoken per second. In other words, Spanish native speakers speak 25% more quickly than English native speakers. That is why it is so difficult for English speakers to understand what Mexicans are saying!!
You need to make subtitles in English. OR make a video in English and a video in Spanish. 2 videos would help the channel grow!
See my response to BigAl in this thread about turning on Auto Translate to get English captions.
@@paulmelde919I know how to turn on CC, but it doesn't translate well and it's hard to read. You have to stop it everytime a new set of words comes up inorder to read it correctly!
¡Holis! We're on it. For future videos we're bringing back subtitles for the examples and exercises. Thanks a lot for the suggestion! Un abrazo - Maura =)=)=)
A desde Moscu ¡Holis, mi bien! Siempre me encanta verte y escuchar tu hermosa y melodiosa voz ...
Gracias, gracias, gracias. ¡Eres lo máximo! Un abrazo grande 🤗 - Maura =)=)=)
Sadly I live in a Mexican neighborhood in the US. I am white and English speaking. When I am in public places populated by Mexicans I am shown hatred and disdain because of my white race and my English language. Some of the worst racists I have met are MEXICANS
Que cama prefieres? Cual cama prefieres? Que camiseta eligiste? Cual camiseta eligiste? Cual es tu sombrillo? Cual es tu celular? Viajo en un coche ayer, el que pertenece a mi tio. Tengo que visitar esa oficina el lunes que viene, la cual trabaja tu mama. Cuales platos tipicos de sud america has probaste?
¡Wow! Qué buen ejercicio. Todo se entiende y está casi, casi perfecto. Solo te corrijo un par de cosas: "...el lunes que viene, EN la cual trabaja tu mamá." Y: "...de Sudamérica has proBADO". ¡Sigue así! Gracias por practicar conmigo. Un abrazo - Maura =)=)=)
Querida profesora, mi gratitud por explicar las diferencias tan claramente.
¡Muchas gracias por estar aquí y por el apoyo! Un abrazo - Maura =)=)=)
