    When people go to the hospital for whatever the reason they are not visitors.Visitors visitors come to your house.Pick that comes to the hospital are in need of medical care.They're not coming here to have a party

  • @MichaelLovely-mr6oh
    @MichaelLovely-mr6oh7 күн бұрын

    The only people who are considered visitors at a hospital are people who happen to be friends, loved ones, relatives, family members or members of the congregation at a place of worship the patient happens to attend and they are simply stopping by to say hello and see how they are doing. I had quite a bit of visitors myself when I was hospitalized as a child for extremely severe appendicitis. Fortunately, the doctors and nurses who treated me kept my spirits up even though I was pretty much bedridden due to being hooked up to two separate intravenous lines. One line was for painkillers to the pain of my appendicitis down to a level where I could breathe and talk without being in excruciating agony; the other intravenous line was for antibiotics to stave off the possibility of my appendix rupturing. Chances are that Julie was getting people who were coming to visit the patients at Moore Medical Center to safety along with people who were taking shelter in the hospital as a hospital is a particularly sturdy building.

    The part where the woman said I’m paranoid because I’m a may 3rd survivor always gets me! Because they were about to have the same exact thing happen a few hours later! Never been in a tornado nor do I ever want to be! (Edit really quick) it’s insane that the same exact thing happened in 2013 that happened in 1999! It took some of the same path and it had a lot of the same intensity, although the may 3rd tornado was stronger! None the less they were both very urgent situations that I’m glad weren’t taken lightly!!!

    I don't understand why its called Code Black when the code for a external threat such as a tornado in a hospital is Code Green

  • @MichaelLovely-mr6oh
    @MichaelLovely-mr6oh3 ай бұрын

    It varies from one hospital to the next in which emergency codes are paged for what situation. In this instance a Code Black is used for a severe weather situation. At the hospital I work at we use the following emergency codes for the following situations: Code Red= fire emergency. Code Gray= severe weather situation. Specified as either "Code Gray Watch" or "Code Gray Warning." Code Blue= medical emergency involving an adult patient. Code Pink= medical emergency involving an infant or pediatric patient. Code Crimson= severe postpartum bleeding. Code Black= bomb threat. Code Violet= combative or violent person. Code Silver= hostage or active shooter situation. Code Yellow= external or internal disaster that could stretch the hospital to its capacity. Code Orange= hazardous material spill, activate decontamination. Code Brown= lost, missing or wandering adult. Code Adam= missing or abducted child. Code Travel= evacuate the facility. Lockdown= secure the hospital and no one is allowed in or out. R.R.T.= Rapid Response Team is needed to respond to a fall emergency. Code 66= helicopter is landing, so get ready to meet the personnel and the patient. All clear= emergency situation has ended and normal operations can resume.

    Not to take away from the tragedy this tornado brought, but all I hear about is 2013 Moore, 2013 Moore, 2013 Moore. Yes, 24 deaths is something to mourn about, but 2 years earlier, Tuscaloosa beats Moore's fatality count by TWENTY people! FOURTY FOUR dead in Tuscaloosa, deadlier than Moore. Same day as Tuscaloosa, an even deadlier tornado, same strength as Moore, Hackleburg-Phil Campbell, EF5, SEVENTY TWO people lost their lives. Hackleburg-Phil Campbell was on the ground for 2 hours and 25 minutes, Moore, not even 40 minutes. Both of the latter Alabama tornadoes from the 2011 Super Outbreak had more fatalities than Moore. Yet, because Moore is in the middle of traditional tornado alley, it gets all the attention. Frankly, for Oklahoma as a whole, May 3, 1999 was worse. Not as many deaths in Moore alone, but many more across the state. Longer tracked violent tornadoes, whereas 2013 Moore was a single tornado. There are tragic stories about Tuscaloosa too. I'm not a troller, but get so sick and tired of Moore, Moore, Moore. And 2013 Moore. The unfortunate thing about 2013 Moore is that, putting in hurricane terminology, it rapidly intensified and reached its peak intensity as it was going through Moore, but after it went through Moore, it weakened, and then lifted. It didn't stay on the ground and devastate Midwest City, Tinker AFB, Del City, and other locations that would've been in the path. But, again, I'm not trying to lessen or downplay Moore's tragedy.
