I knew you weren't in Denver anymore but came to look through the videos to see if there were any that had tips about what to see/experience around Denver before seriously considering moving. This one definitely gave us a starting point but if you see this and have another video to recommend we'd love to hear about it! We're dual income no kids and from Oregon so legal weed and liberalism isn't anything new to us 🙃 I've been enjoying your luxury mountain living videos for the "if we win the lottery" considerations 😁
Thanks for ruining my home state
Any time. Thanks for commenting. Do you still live here or did you relocate. Let me know and I’ll start making videos there as well
I'm moving in with your momma. She need a man in the house 😂
See you on Christmas. . . Son
@@chrismunro7597 dude. For your sake…don’t
Already did
Or? And.
Spent some time in Chessman park as a kid and teenager years ago. My Grandmother and Aunts lived close to the park. I would go there during the day and go to the botanical gardens. Never was there at night.

Echo Hills is a nice quiet neighborhood in CCC Evergreen. I am listing 1/3 acre land for sale next week. Western view, cleared & ready to build. $70k.
With nice neighbors who have lived there a long time and own tractors. 🥰 Nice place to build.
Cool that you introduce this to the world… But you are for real ruining a way of life for folks who already live here. Please be more considerate. Please stop.

W Colfax doesn't get the southside??
I've always considered it the south side but the maps I pulled with doing this video had it slightly north
Great video! Currently in Kansas and thinking about moving to Denver!
Hi Tara, Happy Sunday. Would love to help you find and buy the perfect spot. call or text us at (720) 679-5445 -Sean
Keep in mind while Denver is certainly more walkable than Texas, it isn’t as walkable relative to several US cities (Seattle, Portland, DC, Chicago, Philly, Boston , NYC just to name a couple). It certainly is not walkable at all compared to worldwide standards of walkability. Just want to let others know that! Fun vid though!
Elevation impact on oxygen and health, not just for you but your guests. We live at 9100. During the day, my oxygen saturation is about 92% on average according to my smart watch it started falling down into the 80s when I slept at night so I now sleep with an oxygen concentrator. I have had one family member have to go back down into Colorado Springs to catch their breath, and I had another who wasn’t the best of HEALTH ended up in the hospital at Penrose in Colorado Springs. My understanding is that to compensate for the lack of oxygen up here your blood will create additional red blood cells which may lead to a thickening of your blood. So you seriously may want to consider talking to your doctor if you have health issues before going to live at extreme elevation.
GREAT COMMENT. some people it doesn't bother much at all and some people have a real problem with it.
Can you swim in the lake?
it's more of a paddle boarding and canoe type water. It will be pretty cold if you did
Can you just bring your own water toys and gear?
yes
Your cleft lip makes me want to be your best friend.
lol. thank you!?? it's paralysis from a high school car accident.
What do mean no one is from here!!
Home
Just stay wherever you are. Colorado is full.
Horrible drivers, a lot of illegals, lots of people doing drugs at every gas station.
So glad you mentioned how the food sucks. Which is hilarious, because they consider themselves a foodie town.
Military presence in CS? yeah.... I hope you don't mind jets, huge planes and helicopters flying over. Personally, I think its cool and usually flock to outside or a window when I hear a jet.
Colorado Springs native here. Here is lowdown. If you consider yourself more left leaning politically, you will want to stay close to downtown, west side or near the Patty Jewett area. If you find yourself more on the the right, further north and east will most likely fit you better. But honestly being a left leaning voter in a red county / city, the politics can be a bit frustrating. But, if you like to ride bikes or hike or run, Colorado Springs is head and shoulders above Denver. I can get on a mountain bike from my mostly central location (Fillmore & Union) and ride for miles and miles without having to brave riding on a road. And along the way I can get great views of the city and the mountains. The open space here is incredible. However, the downside of Colorado Springs's landscape is the lack of water. We have Monument Creek and Fountain Creek, but they are not really good for water sports and the nearest lake is Pueblo Reservoir. So if you like water sports, you will not like Colorado Springs. The job market is dominated by the military. If you dont have a remote job and have to find something here, the major employers are military contractors or in some way connected to one of the bases. (Fort Carson Army base, Peterson Air Force Base, Schriever Space Force base and the Air Force Academy). As for the weather, most snow storms move from north to south and Colorado Springs is protected by Monument hill. Occasionally, when a storm comes from the south (its usually called an Albuquerque low) the Springs gets more snow and Monument hill protects Denver. Castle Rock, Larksspur and Monument get hit no matter what direction it comes from.
You want endless homeless and money going to illegal border crossers - go to Denver. Want beauty and freedom? Go to Springs.
All the cool people left Colo.
I just look forward to the day when Republicans take over Colorado again and stop taxing the real estate business into oblivion.
Traffic sucks, but only certain routes and certain times, which stinks for all of you who are GPS dependent. Stay off the main routes, like 6th ave, or one of the interstates, and you can usually keep moving. Traffic hasnt been good the entire time ive lived here. 1989. The timing and the choke points have changed, but its never been "good" during commute times.
People who moved here anytime after 2012 were too late. I have lived here since 1993 and I'm planning on leaving for retirement.
The traffic coming back on 25 after work is so brutal, borderline demoralizing some days
I go to hole in the wall spots in Aurora, because Denver food truly does suck.
Traffic has sucked before the big "T-Rex" I-25 rebuild. It got worse since. One more thing, I've been in several no fault car crashes in Denver and the people at fault are Denver or Colorado natives. What's that tell you about bad drivers.
I left Colorado right before weed was legalized. Sucks because my family was from the region for centuries.
You are not wrong about Drnver, every part of it. Capitol Hill is good, but the crime in central Denver got way worse 2020 on. You can pay 500 and less in other countries apparently I'm not brave enough to try that alone. Everything changed after the country shut down, ow we pay 40% more for everything so won't matter where you land. Sucky drivers are WAY worse in other places, I feel better driving around Colorado.. and Tennessee Nice to meet you man, I dig your style
How is around a half a million dollars affordable housing?
Remember. Respect your Firefighters, Parametics, Police Officers, and Wildland Firefighters in Colorado. Without them, Colorado wouldn't exist.
Regarding wildlife, you forgot to mention that we now get to worry about wolves in the mountains. Thanks to all the voters who don't spend much time in the mountains.
Great info, thanks !
Raised in Colorado mountain towns and Denver is A$$, Colorado has lost its soul for the most part, still some unspoiled gems.
Hey mofo, stop inviting people here, Colorado is full enough already.......
I grew up in Boulder, lived in Denver for school, and now live in Broomfield. Especially the climate stuff is true here, but I'm a rainy weather person so I kind of hate it. I'm not a very outdoorsy person either so I don't care much for mountains or wildlife. As far as traffic goes... yep, that's what happens when you design a country for cars rather than an effective transit system. RTD is okay-ish but woefully inadequate.
Denver is overpriced you want real food you ain't gonna find it in Denver
Disagree. I've been all over the US. There's good food throughout Denver. Only thing I agree with is that it's definitely not a late night, NY/Euro-type food scene. Hardly anywhere serves food after 10 pm, except the normal fast food places. It was better before Covid, but not enough peeps are willing to work the night shift anymore.
I've lived in Colorado my whole life and almost never have used lotion
Ya that and all the traffic
Just stop moving here
Reasons to not move here/to get the f outta here: Hot hot summers Cold cold winter nights and mornings Hail Dryness(lips, eyes snd nose are f-ed) Migraines Utterly destroyed roads-u gonna need a tank to drive on those Denver traffic I-70 corridor traffic Traffic and closures on the highways in winter due to bad weather snd accidents and in summer due to never ending repaires after winter Top 3 in the country by crime rate(violent crimes and property crimes) Ocean of homelessness Suuuuper expensive Overall-craphole
Yes
Food tastes bland at high altitudes because lower air pressure and moisture effect taste sensitivity. The same reason why airline food sucks. Water also boils at a lower temperature, so things like coffee don't brew properly. People like spicy food like green chili because they can taste it.
The dryness in Colorado is no joke. Just got back from a vacation in high-humidity Thailand and my body hasnt been able to adjust back. Skin peeling and sore throat every day. Also as someone who's lived here for over 20 years, I can confirm that the points made in this video are all valid and should be taken seriously before moving here.
Bro i randomly wound up in Sloans Lake too in 2013. Thought id figure things out. Still here in 2024 but my life needs some major renovations right now.
No way!? That’s crazy I moved sooo many times between then and now. Make your way to the mountains. I love it up here
@@SomewhereInColorado Id just need a good gig up there and an affordable place to stay. I run construction jobs and ended up in Englewood. Good location here.
The liberals ruined Colorado. Born and raised. It was the best state on earth until liberals came here, legalized weed and then every idiot ever from California and Texas moved here and destroyed it.
you're being ripped off by the government! That's a fact! By you some cheap land and throw a little log cabin on it, a Shed, a shipping container, a small barn, and build it as small as you can off grid! Solar panels, battery bank shed, and a deep well hand pump then build your house around that have that coming out of your kitchen so you don't have to go outside, People need to think outside the box this days! stop buying into this so called HOA what a rip off that is! Can't do this or that only can do this! Learn to live off grid, grow a garden eat your own food it's healthier for you too.
16 sec in the video is Aspen park in Conifer
