I live in the only senior condo community in Evergreen, Rocky Mountain Village Estates. I have never lived in a condo before, and I have to say that if the HOA keeps raising the monthly HOA dues I'll have to move. And this is not a detached single-family home, it's a unit in a condo building! The HOA dues make the property taxes look like nothing. But Evergreen is an ideal location- you feel like you're kind of in the country but it takes very little time to get down to Denver.
Great channel
Evergreen looks like a beautiful place to live, but I think I would have to downsize a lot to afford to live there. For now, I'll stick with Colorado Springs - which is still going to be a stretch for me.

Evergreen during rush hour is worse than downtown Denver! It’s one long single lane for miles. No fun.
