What do the different cards mean? The tiller, the mermaid, cannon, etc How do you know if you won the trick? What are the three cards in front of the players next to the board? It looks like you had a fun time playing 😊

Great video. Regarding your recommendation to pick uprising if you were new to the game, does your recommendation take into account the weight/complexity of the game? In other words is uprising easier to learn and get into compared to the original?
Yes, it is easier to learn, and easier to get into. It's still fairly dense-- as far as rules complexity goes, both titles are about even (Uprising is *slightly* simpler, but just slightly)-- but Uprising trims away some of the sprawl in the original, which makes for an experience that's more intuitive & accessible.

Uprising is the way to go here. It is just better streamlined to get the best stuff out of the game.
This is an amazing game! It is not for light gamers, but if you can handle a heavier game it is very fun.

Honestly saw this when it was being Gamefounded, and as a fan of Roy I was intrigued. Saw the early plays, and just got out my copy of Eclipse Second Dawn again and played that. A much more nuanced and interesting game is Eclipse. Shame about last light, I was pretty interested, but just doesn't tick enough boxes for me

Not particularly: I didn't find this one nearly as approachable as titles like Splendor or Azul, and the rulebook isn't as well organized as what you'd find in something like Wingspan. It'd be one to jump on if you've tried those games, you like what they offer, and you're looking to wade a bit deeper into the board game pool-- as long as the theme appeals to you! The theming here made all the difference for me.
After watching about half-a-dozen other tutorials for this game and being left confused and lacking, I saw you had one and immediately watched it. Best tutorial for the pastel bunnies by far. What's that? No, *scoffs* I'm not biased at all.

I've played this at a convention, the rulebook is the worst that I have ever had the misfortune to read, it really is THAT bad. If you manage to get past that initial hurdle, then it's an average pick up and deliver euro.
I use flat transparent light blue fiches for rain on the tracks. Works perfectly and you can customize the corners of every track if you want (especially the ones after a fast section).

My group and I love heat. It is one of our favorite gamesand we really enjoy the potential of this expansion, but we do feel like days of wonder cheaped out on this expansion. You only get one map with rain on it. They could have done some card board cut outside to put on the other maps so they can experience the rain. Also they tell you to draw on the Italy map where a sticker would have been great bc sorry not drawing on my base game map. They should have included updated cards to include the new car in the ai cars.

Cool. Well produced video. For me it seems if there’s a great Star Wars game, you need to pool money to get maximum product because it seems something always cuts a game off at the knees. Not blaming anyone, I believe in free enterprise but I have about 300 of these with cards and realize that they’ll never get to what I paid for them. I guess we’ll wait and see. Thank for great breakdown. Btw whose tiles were you using in final seconds of the video?

May not be committed enough to buying all 5 boxes for Doomed Run lol but it sounds fun! Sometimes it can be nice to play a collab game as a good break from competition with friends, so I appreciate the review! Happy to hear some more good collab games
Doomed Run is a strsnge product to recommend, but I really enjoy it. My group's issue with the standalone game is it goes for a little too long, and Doomed Run fixes it wonderfully, in my opinion. The expeditions are shorter and the side quests make us really invested in them. We almost always do multiple expeditions in one session and actually spend more time with the game.

Rogue, Barbarian, and the Heretic (I haven't gotten my copy of Forsaken Isles to the table yet, so I can't speak for the new characters. You're right, there are a ton of rules issues in this game, which can be very annoying and I wish they'd bothered to really clean up the rule books for Doomed Run, but it doesn't look like they bothered. Unfortunately, I think the assumption with some of these companies is that people will go to BGG if anything pops up rather than correcting rules. I think they forget that not everybody is a massive gamer who is even aware of the website. All said, this is a fun little adventure game, and can be pretty brain melty if you're playing solo.

I bought Uprising. Brilliant game. But I do feel my friends that bought OG Dune and the expansions way before me were done dirty. They should've released an "update pack" for Imperium for the people that have invested so much time and money in the game.
I could agree with the limited interactions with other players, but I think this game is super fun! Why did the new car have to be orange, why not a nice color like purple 😂

If you want to play online, you're better off with Tabletop Simulator. The digital edition needs the expansions for it to be truly. Hard to go back to basics after uprising or immo+if.
@@Emanon... I was thinking of the Steam game? I don't think it has DLCs or other options. It has excellent reviews but I'd still need my friends to buy it, so I'm starting to think importing the Uprising boardgame from direwolf themselves isn't that bad an investment in the end.

You spoke to my soul with your track rankings :D make my car go vrooom once per track everytime pleasee Regarding the expansion. I dont know if its worth the money for the content in the box. From what I understand its more of the same with the most valuable being the extra tracks. Does it fit in the original box with the cards sleeved ? ?
It does just about fit in there all sleeved. Although putting the tracks in the as well means the lid no longer goes on. If you play this game a lot, I'd get it for the extra track variety and being able to do a six race season. If you are more casual save your money and don't bother.

Brother you should definetly try it with the optional modules!!. Upgrades-modules-sponsorships bring out a lovely racing game. Maybe not life changing but a great time with friends!!!
@@geokami6793 I did try it with the sector modules and the car modifications. I think that the thing that I don't really like and it makes me always bored is the lack of player interaction. I see this as a good family game but not a good racing game and probably this is why I didn't like it. I went in for a ride and came out a bit underwhelmed.

@@geokami6793 if you want the ultimate Racing experience take Race formula 90. But it's hard to learn.
