  Saw Skynyrd live, Columbus Georgia 1977 after training to jump out of perfectly good airplanes. This shit makes me feel like crying. Little did we know, it would be one of the last time we could see them.

  I thank the musicians for the hours of entertainment and reflection that I have received for the cost of a few albums and a show or two. As the curtain falls on our lives, may the concept of freedom live on. We played this song not a few times over in the desert and mountains of places where freedom was and is a concept not available or valued.

  What a great performance! Such a classic piece of music. I’ve been watching this band since they began. What a tremendous blow when tragedy hit. Just like when it hit when the man who Freebird was about tragically died. Duane Allman. I was a bit disappointed when there was no Confederate flag anywhere. I would bet that it was photoshopped out. They even had it displayed on stage up here in Boston when they player a few years ago.

  First time listening to the tribute Band do this song all the way thru. Props to the guitar player doing Allen Collins part in the lead guitar. I know he actually was an original member before they hit it big. I think he played bass back then. What a Rocker he became...Wow!
