This video was awesome. Very well edited, with tons of insights and tips like the smoke test, leak tests, calculating air flow, pulling the fuel pump fuse, etc. Really appreciated the extra mile of including the pulled engine to show the head gasket, and the editing to speed up certain portions while still keeping them to make sure you show every step is appreciated (removing & replacing all 6 ignition coils). Thanks for the great content!

Just a heads up, BMW’s cooling systems don’t respond well to anything other than the blue coolant. You can get Zyrex which is the generic brand but retains the same operating standards of the BMW coolant. If you keep the non oem coolant, you could prematurely corrode your cooling system or cause blockages.

Truely amazing DIY video! I've watched MANY DIY vids in my day, and your format, presentation and absolute completeness of the subject is beyond compare. Most DIY videos leave you with a stack of questions I hadn't thought of before watching, and no answers from the publisher. But this video answers EVERY question anyone could ever think of, from troubleshooting procedures, to tools used, tool options for the DIY'er (I love your smoke machine!) parts needed, cost, just EVERYTHING and all super well presented in a short period of time. Your format should be the template for all DIY youtubers to follow. Complete, no wasted screen time, completely understandable by almost anyone, and in the shortest time possible. Subscribed! And looking forward to more videos!

What happens when you buy a car like this and you diagnose something like a cracked engine block or a ruined transmission? Is it even worth working on it at that point?

I'm sorry but no plastic headlamp restoration is "better than a new headlamp". New headlamps are superior in their beautiful appearance, performance and clarity. You can't duplicate or top that with a simple restoration. Time is money. Spending alot of time restoring plastic headlamps is counterproductive when it comes to saving time and money. You save time, thus money, by simply replacing the headlamp and using the time you saved doing something productive to make money.

I think this is the best looking car that BMW has ever made. The next gen 5 series is nice too but this one is simple and smooth. You go through this car’s problems like a hot knife through butter. Very well done diagnostics and repair. I don’t know how you got the parts so cheap. Nice work.
