  • @valenciaflyer

    I could but the better trips are in Seattle. And therefore better paychecks. So it’s a pain sometimes to commute but ultimately worth it. So I’ll be staying there til for foreseeable future. Hope you’re well. 😀

    Once hired as a flight attendant do you have the option to go work part time? Are you in full control of when your work?Even on reserve days? Thank you for sharing!

  • @valenciaflyer
    @valenciaflyer6 күн бұрын

    Hi there May. Thank you so much for the comment and the question. Yes, once you are on the line, you do have the option to work part time. Many of my flight attendant friends only work two or three trips per month. Some of them even have other jobs that they do on the side. That is very common. So the nice thing about this career is that it is very flexible, at least with my company. All companies are not the same so do your research. I hope this helps. Please let me know if you have any other questions. Have a wonderful rest of your summer and thanks for watching and subscribing.😁

    I’m so sorry that your first attempt was not successful. But if you ever do attempt to do it again, you know what to expect. And that will most likely make you successful on the second try. Today marks exactly one year for me with my company. And it has been a wonderful first year with many more years to come. So if you if this is something you really want to do please don’t give up. Keep going. I wish you all the best. 😃

    Instead of using freezer packs in your meal bag, try reusable ice bags (like the kind people use for injuries). Your hotel may not have room fridges, but they always have ice machines! Another plus is that those bags stay dry on the outside, so your food doesn't get all wet. No microwave? Get a Hot Logic. And some oven-safe dishes, in case you want to heat up your food on the plane. No, I am not a flight attendant, but I follow a number of them! 😎

    I don’t think they should serve alcohol on planes. Flying is stressful as it is and when you add alcohol things can get out of hand. Also, hot coffee should not be served. If you run into turbulence, the hot coffee will spill and burn the passenger. Also, if someone abruptly reclines their seat and the passenger behind them has hot coffee on their little table, the coffee can again spill.

  • @valenciaflyer
    @valenciaflyer6 күн бұрын

    That is certainly an option to not serve alcohol. In my experience things only get out of hand every blue blue moon. 99.99% of the time everyone is very relaxed and cooperative. As far as coffee though there have been sometimes where I’m sure people did spill on themselves because of the turbulence. That I’m sure is much more likely to happen. Thanks for the comment. Hope you’re well.😄

    I'm doing well today. How about yourself? A lot of us end up staying because of the flight benefits its really what makes up for the pay. It always amazes me when I meet coworkers that have never used their flight benefits. That was my brother in law. He worked @DaddyD since 1973 for over 50+ years and never got on a plane. But my mother in law used them all the time. Day trips are the best!I know what you mean about meeting someone new. In my base we have over 7500. Sad that sometimes you may never see them again. great content

  • @valenciaflyer
    @valenciaflyer14 күн бұрын

    Hey there, Cherie. Great to hear from you. Yes, sadly I’m one of those that has not used his flight benefits to its fullest yet. I guess I was just still trying to set myself up within the first year. But I definitely plan to hit Tokyo, Amsterdam and Madrid, hopefully before the year is done. So 7500 FA’s. Where are you based? Yes, sad that I sometimes don’t see or work with flight attendants again after we’ve had a great trip. But it’s still exciting to meet new crew for me, so I guess that kind of makes up for it. Thank you for the comment and for being an amazing subscriber. I really appreciate you. Have a wonderful night and we will talk soon. 😁

    Thank you for another great video! Only 101 away from 1k 🎉 (I swear I'm feeling like your #1 fan 😂) My biggest struggle is gonna be the food situation, the time changes and the lack of sleep, I value sleep as it's so important for the body to recover. Question, is it only the lead FA who gets to cover the flight deck when they need to step out? Or would it be any FA? That's pretty cool to catch a view like that!!! ❤ safe travels my friend ✈️

    Hey there, Michelle, my number one fan. Hope you’re doing well. Always great to hear from you. Yes, I am almost there to 1000 subscribers. So exciting. Thank you for making this journey a pleasant one. I really appreciate you. So yes, any flight attendant can go into the flight deck. It’s usually the flight leader and the flight leader assist that go up there simply because they are at the front of the plane most of the time. But whoever is available can relieve a pilot. It is a thrill to be up there. One I still very much enjoy. Thank you again for watching and subscribing. I’ve started my flight training and will do my best to get some of those videos up as well. Have a wonderful night. Talk soon. 😊

    What a wonderful airline that you work for.. I got the job in Feb this year in well knowing airline in the middle east as i am a citizen there but they pay us 4$ per hour for flying or for out of base 🥲💔 and a 6$ for any hour over 100hr a month and we dont get a boarding pay at all my maximum monthly salary reaches 3180$.. that if i worked my ass up to reach it. Its sad for all of the crew in my airline and it’s spreading negative vibes and gossiping and make the job so hard.. the unfortunate thing is that its a governmental airline company and they dont know how to make profit same as the other airlines next to us l.. we did bot get bounce pay and will not get it any time soon 😂💔💔
