  What can you say ? To witness a performance like that is just spectacular. Mr. Knopfler is a master of his instrument, a great songwriter and beautiful man. We are lucky indeed to have him.

  Im sorry to say, but this sounds like shit compared to On the night version. The drummer in this recording is totally off, and the irritating clarinet is hurting my ears.

  Mark is one of the greatest and this song is one of his greatest! I was flashed by it since i heard it the first time on sailing to philadelphia in 2000. And everytime i heard it live in about a dozend concerts. Thank you so much mark and thank you too danny cummings for your great drums

  A pity that many of his words are overwhelmed by the volume of the music. Its a great tune, well executed, and the snatches of lyrics I can make out, hint at a profound message. If he would enunciate more clearly, it would be a richer experience.
