    That’s so incredibly frustrating. Especially when there’s not much that you can do about it. I can’t believe directors don’t consider those things better and plan accordingly. Nice video homie!!

    you destroyed a perfectly good boat. how many times have we seen somebody spray some shiny new paint and say "look at what i did"! you can do it too... diy. then the next guy has to spend hundreds of dollars to get that crap off, then only to find that the metal is ruiend underneath. no, its not "textured". the aluminum is gouged, thinned and weakened. more prone to crack. who takes a grinder to alunimum? a kid that doesnt know anything about what hes doing. so youve painted a couple toys a year or two ago. that was a nice boat... before

    What I don’t get is all the other people here praising someone for doing it completely wrong, and on a platform where those same people will obviously follow this bad information. I mean kudos for actually fixing a boat but Jesus at least do it somewhat correctly to reach people how to do this sort of thing.

    Nice work! I'm planning to gut & renovate my 2000 pro team 165 next winter. Ilike your center rod box. I think I'll do the same. I'm still running the original 40 horse 2 stroke that came on the boat. I rebuilt top to bottom back in January instead of replacing it. Looking forward to your next one!

    Awesome work sir. I know this is an older video but hopefully you will still see it. anyway always remember that those big batteries must be able to vent during g the charging process. They produce a large amount of toxic and flammable gas while charging so always install a vent cap or two. Also in case of emergency access use strong 3M velcro for the lid instead of 4 screws. Hope this helps. Once again an awesome job on the build. ◊very impressed.

    Just bought one of those poly strip wheels for the angle grinder, and my fear is that it is too agressive, it's definitely scratching up the aluminium, and I think it's thinning it. :(

    For anyone wondering, you can now purchase custom sizes for a complete fry hatch lid system that has a drain port already in place for water.

  • @tadpolebo
    @tadpolebo Жыл бұрын

    That channel will only hold so many drops of water, before the dry hatch becomes a wet hatch, you didn’t say or show how the water drains out of the dry lip track.

    How about starting out by telling us something about the boat i.e., brand, type, age, size, how did you acquire it etc. "Backstory" intros tend to make for a more interesting video. Gets the viewers more involved in the project.

    I have to say you did an excellent job young man. I’m planning to rebuild the transom on my ‘89 Bass Tracker TXS and I hope it goes as half as good as you made it look. I’ve got more confidence after watching this Thank you for making this video. I think I’m gonna go with a composite transom, but then again, I may just do it exactly the way you did yours with the wood. You’ve got me thinking about restructuring the front and back decks too lol. This is why I love these old Bass Tracker aluminum boats. You can rebuild them the way you want them and they’re just about like new. That is if you don’t have any damage to the aluminum hull, and that’s not beyond repairing either.

    Absolutely outstanding video! Now, can you help me out regarding what you were saying about the EVA foam versus carpet… Something about it being flush but not having to worry about it if it’s carpet??… I am totally lost on that part… ”It” is gonna stick up a little higher that way ”It” won’t bind?… What exactly are we talking about here regarding the hinge, carpet, EVA, and the height or flushness?? I watched several times but can’t figure out specifically what you mean.

  • @DerekRodriguezFish
    @DerekRodriguezFish2 жыл бұрын

    With turf you can make those gaps tight because there is no material going inside the gap. With carpet you have to account for the thickness of the carpet while making them because if you don’t when it comes time to carpet them they will not fit after you have installed it.

    I watched your Tracker build, Great job. Watching this one now, Really impressed. You dont see many young kids (Im 46 so forgive me) actually get out and work to get something how they want it. My kids will barely get off the couch to get a drink. Apply that work ethic to all you do and the sky holds no limits.
