  I never got to train with him, but my instructor did. He was an instructor under GM Remy. I am grateful that I was able to experience and train in his art. Thank you.

  One good thing about Tatang's Arnis is that he had experienced using this in real combat this was the claim of living students who truly knows Tatang Ilustrisimo. His Arnis is not theoretical but for reality.

  Judy and Jim Clapp, the first two Uke for The Professor, owned the Delaware school where most of this series were filmed. They were instrumental in bringing Modern Arnis to the area.

  Our late Grand Master Martin Raganas jr. He made a Punta Ingaño Kalis Eskrima. Which is Also from the Ilustrisimo Style. Now im practicing this Art.

  i remember my late uncle instructions if you need to fight someone who challenges you go and run I replied tonhim why the used learning all this if I just run from a fight thats my point he said to me you know how to hurt people be humble said to me used only what you learn from me only you have too truly my late uncle was a Grandmaster of his art

  @@cocaproductions1050 you’re a casual coward, you dont get what im pointing is, that technique has its transitions, it is not as slow as 10seconds to execute, it must be quick to suppress the opponent if you dont get it, then you must have your brain before commenting

  I had the pleasure of training with the Professor from '76 to '78 in Fresno. It was a life changing experience and has served me well for 43 years. RIP Professor!

  @@hihe530 It was an honor to know him and study with him. We were some of the first to study with Remy when he arrived in the US. It has changed my life in many ways, and opened doors that I never imagined.

  I love modern arnis for the pure flow. And for. REMY. I LOVED HIM. he was wonderful. I. Am. Blessed to have gotten to play with him. I Am lucky too to know and have worked and trained under so many students of Remy. Is like to shout out to the man that certified me to train in modern arnis, Bram Frank. Also I would not know any of this if it were. Not. For. My personal guru/guide/soul brother/teacher/kindred spirit, John Eckhart. I miss you all. I will always hear him in the back and forefront if my mind, Remy saying "Slow is fast and fast is slow"

  He was 90 by the yeat 1993, he died 1995. He must be in his late 80s in this video

  I went to several of his seminars. He was such a nice, gentle man. A true Grandmaster in every sense of the word. He had no ego and was very easy to talk to. It was a pleasure to be in his presence. RIP.
