The cross block on a knife is supposed to be combined with a step forward, to close distance. And even really close, you can still disarm.
@Jimmy36507 If you do an x block against a bladed weapon then your oponent would step back cutting your harms.
I surprised to seea x block against a knife here this dont really work in most cases so I suppose it's because it's so detailed here, maybe I'm wrong.
