Can you get decaf coffee in Rome?
skip Meggenhorn and go to the "Dreilindenpark" instead for a picnic with a stunning view. take Bus Number 14 to "Konservatorium" and climb the stairs. to retur to the city, you walk all the way down Wesmelin Monastry and then the famous "Hexensteige" and then end up near the Lion Monument.

can infants come along for a trip to Mt Pilatus train/gondola etc?
@AplinsintheAlps thanks for a very informative video. Would you know if 1.5y olds can come along with us for Mt Pilatus golden tour?
3:40min abouth the weather: my experince with weather in the alps: generally best conditions in the mornings and at the evening. Over day it becomes often more cloudy and can restrict views - especially into the distance. Often it clears in the evening - the problem by this: most destinations where you can get up by cable cars and other closes at 4 or 5 p.m., so its often to early or you haven´t much time anymore to stay up there. (The better choice are fpr example: Gornergrat near of Zermatt. Latest trains are around 7 or 8 p.m. in the summer. Stanser Horn near Lucerne: in sommer on some days you can stay up there until after sunset.)
Gracias!!!
I am planning a 8-day trip to Germany and Switzerland. Could you help plan the itenarry? I want to include Grindelwald and the Neuschwanstein castle along with other points. Solo budget trip
Superb! Can these be done in early May?
Unfortunately these are usually available starting in June. But of course it just depends on how snowy the winter and spring was!
Amazing info, thankss😂❤. Can you two give more infos, especially cool things that can be done on budget ? ❤

what months are best for travel if we want to see top of euro and griswald areas?
Hello again! We plan to go tomorrow and coming from Wengen. We have the Oberland Pass, Swiss Half Fare, and Swiss Family Pass for the kids. With the passes that we currently have, what do we need to purchase from the Jungfraujoch site? Also there is this "reserve seats" for 10CHF. Heard this is required? Thank you so much. oh and btw.. we would love to meet ya'll hehe
Hi Is it possible to get to the other side without having to do the cliff walk. I am terrified of heights, and my partner isn't, but I would like to meet him on the other side at the viewing platform. Can you walk across the top? Thanks
Hi there! Yes, you can meet him at the end! The Cliff Walk ends at the restaurant terrace, so that's where you can meet him. Enjoy!
@AplinsintheAlps thank you. That's good to know. I am going to try it but I am sure I will have to turn back but I really wanted to get the photo opportunity at the end. Thanks again, love watching your videos, I have been able to plan so much from these. We go in September. We are doing the Berina Express from Italy then the Glacier Express from Chur to Zermatt. We will stay in Zermatt then on to Grindelwald and visit the fabulous Lauterbrunnen 👌
what are the best months to aim for chances of clearer weather?
It's really hard to say because it can change from year to year. But the past few years, September through mid-October have often been beautiful!
As somebody from switzerland, I find this video Correct and Accurate
Thank you!
For the Eurail pass, does it cover as in ALL train networks (including Metro, Subways, etc..) across Europe?
agree on the SBB App, really !!!
Will it be too cold to go in 3rd week of Sept? Will you suggest to follow your route in the morning or afternoon?
We actually have a video that talks about what kind of weather to expect month by month. You can watch it here: kzread.info/dash/bejne/Y6Wu2aOEh8uYnpM.htmlsi=C_MZl8fCWWl_aotp
Thanks for this awesome video! I was looking for a beginner one of these When I visit Switzerland in September and this might just be it. Now I'm hyped. Also what kind of camera did you use to film this?
We used a GoPro 10 as well as our iPhones. Enjoy!
@@AplinsintheAlps thank you!
Do i have time or will it be rushing if i go Grindelwald First and pfingstegg afterwards in a day.
Hi there! It's doable, especially since the cable car stations are just a 5-minute walk from one another. But keep in mind that you can find yourself standing in lines all day if you try to do a few activities at Grindelwald First. Hope you have fun!
Thanks for posting we will be there next year❤
We hope you enjoy Lucerne! It's such a charming Swiss city!
What do you recommend getting from Basel airport to Thun/Interlaken/ Grindelwald? We do not plan visiting every mountain 2 Adults and 2 Children 6 days Thanks
Hi there! We love just using a Half Fare Card for a simple trip that doesn't have too many mountains. You can also get the Swiss Family Card (for kids 6-15) when you buy your Half Fare Cards.
You guys are the best! Heading to this place in a few hours. Thank you so much.
We hope you have a wonderful time!
Thanks for the super helpful recs! Just wondering, for a rainy trip, what kind of shoe do you recommend? (Do I need wellies? Kinda worried about sloshing and slipping around in my hiking shoes...)
Iseltwald, not Iselwald. Too many commercials.
You’re right that it’s spelled with a “t”! We’re learning German and trying to pronounce places like the locals do 😊
Thank you for the tips!!🥰
You're welcome!
Hi Brett! new subscriber here. Pls help😢 We are traveling to Switzerland in a week with a senior. do I need to buy both BOP & Half fare card?
That totally depends on where you're traveling to within Switzerland! We have a video that helps you learn more about which train pass you might need and there is even a free download that walks you step by step through the process of discovering the right train pass for your trip! You can watch the video here and the link for the free download is in the description. kzread.info/dash/bejne/mK6pspKhfbjQds4.htmlsi=pRZ6PSLDjUV4swb3
@@AplinsintheAlps thank you so much, Brett! I have been watching all your videos. they are very helpful. I’m getting our passes thru your link!
Thanks so much. Glad we can help you!
why do all these Italian tourist advice channels keep acting like it is a big deal that dinner starts at 8pm? It's not uncommon at all in America to eat dinner this late.
In our part of the USA (southeast), most people finish eating dinner by 7pm, that’s why we mentioned it! And a lot of folks put their kids to bed by 8:30, so eating at 8pm is a different cultural experience!
We have a care. What is the best way to reach there. Are the trains necessary? I wanted to book online but it was very confusing
