My channel features sketching tips and techniques, art product and artbook reviews, watercolour and fountain pens for painting and drawing.
I'm Teoh (aka Parka from parkablogs.com). I'm an artist/designer who creates graphics for news publication. In 2009, I started to focus on sketching and watercolour more seriously and I hope to share the experience and knowledge that I've learned over the years.
I don't do paid reviews.

2560 x 1600 vs 4K on a 16 inch laptop screen, which is better?
What’s the size format of that scanner? I have an 11 x 14 Bristol sketchbook and I’m not sure if it would exceed the size of that scanner.
Thank you for the review, i recently bought it but i got a questıon. At 8:15 you mentioned that it wont get scrachted however my display is getting scratched. Why is it happening? Is there a way to prevent it?
I really enjoy your sketchbook, it feels so freeing. I feel soothed. Thank you, much love <3
Looks like a great group to hang with…you have SKILLS…wow…
Thank you, Teoh, for taking us to this sketch walk. It looks like an amazing place to sketch even in bad weather. I love how they kept the old warehouse brick fronts and doors. I love the design of the big umbrellas for shelter. Do those big fans help with cooling and airflow or do you think the noise from them overrides that benefit? I’m just curious. I love that you have such an incredible group of sketchers. There were so many terrific sketches! I loved seeing your sketch evolve. If weather wasn’t an issue, would you rather sketch on the iPad or the tablet you were using? Thank you so much for all you do. 😊
If weather is good I'll probably use my watercolour sketchbook. I usually use tablet if I know I'm short of time because tablet requires no setup time and no cleaning and keeping
WRONG. Manufacturers sharpen pencils ✏️ You DON'T. Pencil Users DON'T sharpen pencils. You WEAR TINY FACETS ON THE TIP OF THE LEAD. The sharpener is actually a miniature hand plane that cuts only the timber away from the lead. You DO NOT use the sharpener to cut lead. It's designed to only cut wood. You wear away the lead. You never cut lead away. You never sharpen away lead.
What an amazing place, full of spots to sketch! And the colors!! Not to mention the boat... =)
I love how the warehouses were repurposed. They look very nice.
Lovely works by all, and a great place to sketch.
when i scan in 4800 it just produces a blank image?
Not sure what happened. Maybe not enough RAM.
I see a (+) sign on the tool bar ... I tried looking for a way to remove tools cause having 7 tools can be pretty messy for me and I dont know how to turn it back to 5 tools before I added them !! how do I remove the unwanted tool?
I don't think you can remove the tools. But you can make some of the tools duplicates
Oh :( ... Thank you
Thank you so much for this review. Amazon has the 2.5K version on sale right now for $809.00 CND. Before buying it I wanted to see what other artists had to say about the quality of the tablet as a whole. Thanks again, I think I'm sold. ♥
Ehehe a literal take on the wacom bamboo 😆 btw I think left handed use would be fine without rotating the tablet, since there's no shortcut buttons it looks left handed friendly still ^^
Looks like none of these pens are pressure sensitive.
Y o u do such a nice job on your reviews.
I wonder if you could add backpack straps?
Hi Great review. Which square Etchr sketchbook fits ? The 6 inch or the 8 inch square. Thank you
6 inch square
what's the name of the Samsung one? 14:47
If you still have this old Daler Rowney box - I'd like to buy it! I find the catch easy and I love the two rails for brushes. ;)
Are you sure Uni-ball gel stick is waterproof? Maybe only the black ink. Because other colours are not at all waterproof. Kindly check the black ink and let me know please.
It is. Been using it for years
nice review - very thorough :) Got mine today !
That was really helpful and simple , Thanks
Cool!
Still seems all pointless without palm rejection screens, Hand cramps is unavoidable! Especially for lazy artist or those wanting to draw all day long!
Use street view!
I have ledos click aristocrat flex nib fountain pen.. can I use zebra g or Nikko g nib on it?
Love it. Stunning. Wish I could afford it.
Thank you - this video was so detailed and helpful!
Is there a version that has a converter and a disposable cartridge in one package?
You can buy the convertor or disposable cartridges separately
I got this as a gift and I LOVE mine😁
Mostly used large graphic tablets but found they're quite fatiguing and am now switching to a medium sized one. It's encouraging to know you swear by them 😂 Would have both options to check which is more suitable for my needs, thank you!
I'm amused you still recommend Medium (10 x 6 inch) up to this day in the comments section 😂 I appreciate the consistency haha.
The still size pairs well with displays up to 27 inches
Amazing review.
Nice.
Is cobalt blue deep now called cobalt blue? or is it the ds tube or winsor one?
They are different colours, different pigments. And you should go with pigment code which us more accurate
@@teohyc thank you. how do I know which code it is? I looked up online and it said pb74. Is that the same code for all/most brands? And which is the brand you use for cobalt blue deep?
@@bnp2bnpPB74 is Cobalt Blue Deep
@@teohyc okay, thank you!
You drew a picture of Irish mad lad Brendan Behan.... 😎
Hello, i have zero drawing skills but i bought it, is it easy to draw?
Drawing is a skill that can be learned, just like writing. As to how good you can be, it’s down to practice and how you learn
ALWAYS LOVE YOUR FEEDBACK.. THANKS AGAIN.. LOVE U
Grosse déception, je viens de l'acheter mail elle ne fonctionne pas, elle n'est reconnu par aucun appareil. Totalement inutilisable, j'ai payé 99€ un simple carnet. Je vous la déconseille.
what app is that i need it
Wacom Bamboo Paper
Hi Teoh! Have you considered checking out other budget friendly paint markers? Both the Grabie and the Shuttle art paint markers also seem popular while being fairly affordable, but I haven't seen anyone directly compare them to these Arrtx markers
Most of these markers feel quite similar to me unless they actually list their pigment code which will be useful for artists for archival reasons.
Nice. I remember when a .7 was a "medium" and HS /Uni students wouldn't buy anything over a .5 which was the "fine" point. The generation of College Ruled paper. 😊 I like that Air though.
