    @anneakhil5331 yeah safe for engine though the materials seem to have eroded fast. Unsure if the quality of the metal is a factor. Had to get a replacement end can cause it developed a big hole. Sounds good and in good weather probably fine, but for all weather I would get something else next time

    Have heard complaints about Sportster's jarring suspension. They should bring this model back with a 1275cc air cooled Evo and with a 6 speed and Ohlins front and rear and dual disc Brembos. I'd prefer that to the new water cooled version any day.

    to deactivate the cruise control you need to overly decelerate the trottle, meaning, you can kinda go over zero. or just tap the brakes. for hillhold to activate you need to give the front brake a firm squeeze, to deactivate it, just accelerate, or again, give the front brake a firm squeeze. RTFM they say!

    I will never learn to love a stock exhaust. It is heavy, quiet and dulls down the V twin rumble. Aftermarket exhausts take away exhaust gas restriction and allow the engine to breath better/ produce more hp

    nice vedio, is it better to buy a new streert triple? then a 2nd hand speed triple,

  • @TommyBarnezTV
    @TommyBarnezTV6 ай бұрын

    Depends. I've got some reviews of the street triple 765 on my channel and it's an awesome bike. Personally I think the street is well suited to shorter rides. Eg this ride I did in the video would be great on the street. However it was a long trip to get down to Spain from UK where I'm based so wanted something with some more power and things like cruise control. I went with the 2018 version of the speed as I love the look of the twin exhaust compared to the new speed 1200. There's good bargains second hand also, just need to be comfortable assessing a bike. I'd say ride them both and see which one fits. Both outstanding bikes.

  • @petroosabdollahian1648
    @petroosabdollahian16486 ай бұрын

    @@TommyBarnezTV thank you for your message and shared information, agree, both bikes are amazing, but isn't it wise to ride a touring or adventure bike for long trips?

  • @TommyBarnezTV
    @TommyBarnezTV6 ай бұрын

    @petroosabdollahian1648 depends on outlook. I have a 650cc adventure bike, but prefer the speedy for the tour. Solo tour so not a lot of luggage. During good weather so not too much a concern about weather protection. Endurance on the speedy is 6-8 hours comfortably so works fine for me. I wouldnt worry about following set rules with regards to touring bikes, just make it work with the bike you like.

    A little tip for you, if you want to get used to the bike, while riding fast on demanding (fun) roads stick it in rain mode. Restricts the power to a 100 bhp. It’s a nice way to get up to speed and it’s plenty, but more control.

  • @TommyBarnezTV
    @TommyBarnezTV6 ай бұрын

    Cheers, yeah I sometimes do that with bikes a bit. With the speedy it's the leaning over which just doesn't feel right for the last inch of the tyre. New tyres will change the bike quite a lot I think. Watching the vid back yesterday while I was editing footage made me think the street triple would have probably been more fun for those roads. The speedy is great, but with so much power you're not pushing the bike. Will try dropping to 100bhp to see how it goes.

  • @benkelly2190

    Hi mate. Great vid, reminds me of why, I have kept my speedy for 6 years. I can highly recommend pilot road 6,s. They gave me far more confidence than the Pirelli Diablo 3’s. They also last considerably longer. Regarding the QS, triumph do an upgrade, if you tell the you have a problem, or did.

    I was in the market for a 48 and I ended up test driving the 48 and iron 883 and I fell in love with the iron 883. I didn't notice much difference in power cuz the iron had stage 1 setup and tune and 48 was stock but the ergos and height of Iron just felt so perfect for me and it was cheaper with lower miles so it was a no brainer for me. I really tricked mine out and will be updating videos cuz I made so.e more changes and bike is just about perfect now. I will never let it go. It's more than enough power and is faster than I expected by a mile. One day I will get the street bob 114 in Stonewash White but for now I'm very happy with the Iron. I do love the 48 too and it is a fantastic bike for anyone and fun to trick out.

    There is just something about a long stroke, low rpm motor that produces its grunt right off of idle. Though it runs out soon enough, there is another gear. They don't have to be loud to sound good, not to my ears. I also appreciate the whirring of gears and the bit of clammer of the hardware as it goes on to meet its appointed rounds. I can appreciate the old school automotive technology. The Sportster is a bit of an odd bike. I don't know why it feels so small, but it does. It just feels physically small, smaller than it really is. Is it just the narrowness of it or is it the small gas tank that is so deceiving? I don't know, but it's like riding a bicycle down the highway. It can be a bit weird, but that's the way it is.
