    You should learn how to crimp terminals first before you show others how to do it.

    You must be retarded, you're not using the crimper correctly. The "tooth" side as you refer to it as is for terminals without the plastic insulation on them. What you called the "mash" side is for the terminals with plastic insulation like you are using in the video. What an idiot. This video is useless

  • @rbhe357
    @rbhe3575 ай бұрын

    Are you unable to read the words right there on the tool? The "mash side" as you call it, is for insulated connectors. The other is for non insulated. That's why it's tearing the insulators.

    Because you are using the non insulated crimper to crimp an insulated terminal....😂 I've never had a problem with the Klien. I use NON-INSULATED terminals

    I get your drift but I get what I can afford and Kleins is what I can afford. For those who can afford snap-on all the power to them but I get the same lifetime warranty with klein as well. But good video and comparison of the pliers sir. Mac tools makes good tools like snap-on but if I was able to afford them... so have blessed day and keep on bringing good videos like this one I love them.

    Your speaking truth regarding those Measuring Tapes my friend. I will loose one in my own kitchen, I swear. I have not been using wire-strippers for many years to build the kind of "muscle memory" you have, but I really love my Milwaukee Combination Electricians 6-in-1 Wire Strippers Pliers. They are not priced to high now, but they use to be 50 bucks. I found them in a Pawn Shop for 10-USD! It really reminds me of the “Vamplier’s” feel when it comes to holding needle noses. I have a Knipex “Pliers Wrench” and a “Knipex Cobra Water Pump Plier” set that I have been using for a few years now. Pricey… But essential to my workflow. Everything else in my back is the lesser price tier stuff.

    You are crimping on the non insulated portion of the tool, when for your application you should be using the insulation designed portion of your crimper

  • @SicarioDistrepo
    @SicarioDistrepo Жыл бұрын

    Exactly! That's precisely why the insulator was damaged and looked crummy. Both tools do well if the demonstrator knew what he was doing.

    Don't use the tooth on the seam unless it is a brazed seam is what I'm saying. Best to throw away the insulated sleeve so you can see what is happening. Use heat shrink if needed.

    Being a professional mechanic for 30 years doesn’t necessarily make me an expert at anything but a person is bound to learn a few things by accident wrenching for so long and here’s my perspective on ratchets and hand tools in general. First, if a person is a DIY’er I completely understand why mast of them think that SnapOn, and Mac ratchets are too expensive and for their needs they are. However if you wrench for living and are using hand tools 8-12hrs a day you will quickly find out what works best and what doesn’t. When mast of the offshore tools started hitting the market there were some that were constantly touting that they were “just as good” as SnapOn. A lot of those voices were completely unqualified to make such a statement because they were not professional technicians that were using the tools in the day to day grind of being a technician. I’ve purchased several of the new brands and put them into daily use for about six months. Long story short I took them home to use around the house. None of them made me want to replace my SnapOn and Mac ratchets and a couple were just poorly made junk that I could not depend on. They’d be fine for occasional use but I don’t consider them to be in the same league as my other tools.

    Honestly, Insulated Tools are a form of Personal protective equipment (PPE), I do not use 1000V Insulated tools unless I absolutely have to. As an Industrial Electrician we have to follow very strict OSHA Mandated Lock Out/Tag Out procedures to assure that we don't work on "Hot" wires. ...now having said that, If you're not working with Hot Electrical Circuits there there really is no reason to buy the 1000V Insulated set. Afterall the 1000V Insulation is the very reason the handles are so fat. So if you don't need insulated tools, then by all means don't waste your money on them, buy the standard handles instead.
