I like to cut my zman bang stickz in half, gives me a 2.75" TRD and a 3" hula stick. That's 12 baits in a pack compared to 8 trds in a normal pack. Well almost in half, you get the picture.

Amazing video and creativity is top notch. However, there is some inaccuracies in the beginning regarding actual distance from boat. This is more complex than simply subtracting water depth from displayed Si range. You need to take into account vertical component and lateral component and use Pythagorean theorem to get the actual distance.

I'd be curious to see how differently the stats would be for ponds and much smaller lakes. For example, the lake I commonly fish is only 88 acres large and receives immense pressure. It's notorious as a tough lake to fish, even giving professionals a hard time when using more commonly used lures and techniques. I've had to branch out to use less popular techniques and lures to be successful there simply because these fish see the same things day in and day out.

So many variables to control for in those studies that caution in interpretation is warranted.

calculating percentage of the CLAIMED line strength is pointless. it virtually never matches the actual one, so you'd have to measure that first. same for the FC.

also, it's better to specify the leader material by actual diameter rather than its (again claimed) breaking strength. your testing method is good, though.

When using the pendulum, why reel up instead of jerking the rod? I found that interesting cause we use the same retrieve for fluke in the north east, and they always hit it on the swing after a sharp jerk or two up.

Yoo 😂 I tried using my baitcaster for the 2nd time today (fail) I really shoulda watched this first.. I didn't know where the drag was, wasted a lot of line too unfortunately.. going to try the warm bowl of water for the curling. Damn line jumped right off both reels, spinner & baitcaster 😫

Love your video because it was very informative... however first problem I noticed with your testing is that you claim the line to have a breaking strength of 22 lb from 20 lb test line but we all witnessed that the line did not even make it to the 20 lb rating so that leads me to feel that that brand of line is overrated.... the second issue came where some lines were a single Loop and others were a double Loop.. I feel you should really expect to get a considerable increase by doubling the line but this line did not prove to even reach its test poundage when even doubled also showing that this line again is overrated... there should be realistically no way that a doubled line should have equal to or less brake strength than any single line knot which would kind of make the basis for the test inconclusive... however what I did find interesting is that the single stranded Snell Knot pretty much kept up with the San Diego double Jam knot.... you may want to try this test over again with a different line because something just seems off...

I appreciate you addressing lightning. Lightening strikes are extremely rare, kinda like shark attacks. But the only reason that shark attacks are rare is because most people ant out in shark territory, flipping around like a top water bait, if they were than youd probably hear of alot more shark attacks. Anyways, the same goes for lightening, its very rare but if your in the middle of a lake with that graphite rod in hand, casting a potentially metal lure you highly encourage the lightening God's to strike you down! Ive thought about this alot on my kayak lol
