I share holistic resources to support your healing journey!

I’m Lauren Geertsen, an author and Body Connection Coach. At 19, I was nearly bedridden with a severe autoimmune disease called Ulcerative Colitis. I healed this “incurable” autoimmune disease with nutrition and lifestyle changes.

I created Empowered Sustenance to share the steps I used to free my life of chronic disease and medication. Now, this website has supported over 40 million readers with holistic health resources.

Through my own journey and nutrition training, I realized that our body holds healing intelligence far wiser than any doctor, health expert, or guru.

I’m here to help you access your body’s wisdom, so you can confidently navigate your healing journey.

You have to constantly say the affirmations & flip your thoughts. Of course saying "I am rich" when you are financially struggling ... going to feel right. You're ego is fighting to protect you. You have to just perisist right through it. The affirmations are used to form new neuro pathways. Eventually they will become your new dominant thoughts. This has worked for me, even with anxiety, depression & PTSD.

This audio book gave me an in depth perspective of what women can face in our society today- certain predatory men who use manipulation for their own gain sexually and otherwise. A must read for men everywhere so we can understand this dynamic, become more discerning about what we deem as acceptable treatment of women as a society, and be on the lookout for the weak and dangerous men who do this. Our purpose as real men is to be protective of women and scorn the predators who prey on women. This book contains a very powerful message that the world needs right now ❤❤❤

Yeah, affirmations do work. They only work when you’ve brought your brain waves to theta. Questions might help, but if you’re doing it in the conscious state it will take longer then if you do it during theta. So this approach you are recommending will work but will take longer because it is more difficult to root itself. The questions you’re posing are a type of shadow work. The approach I use is feeling the feelings in the body. A somatic practice. Then i do the positive affirmations at theta. And i do the theta work at night. That’s when it’s easiest to change the unconscious mind.

Please watch the video. Step One: Turn your statement into a 'what if' question, or a 'why is that...' question. 'What if I look at my body as a soulmate today?' 'Why is it that I feel so confident and comfortable in my body today?' Step Two: When you desire wealth or fame or beauty, it's not really about that thing. You want the emotional experience, the sense of fulfilment and love and purpose and such. 'I am wealthy.' What is the experience you want from that? Maybe it's a sense of stability and freedom, so you can pursue your dreams? Fun or play? Build that into your 'what if...' or 'why is it that...' questions. Step Three: Repetition!

I'm having so much trouble. I literally can't accept myself for who I am (like just writing things out abt my appearance, just feels uncomfortable and weird) almost feels like I'm lying to myself (?) but that's only with external appearance tho. I'm pretty sure i definitely accept myself for who I am mentally (skills, talenfs, knowledge etc). How are you guys doing? I feel so lost

Our limiting beliefs developed with emotion and over time. So, if we repeat affirmations or afformations, lacking emotion,we will struggle. For subconscious to accept something as true it requires emotion as support that something is happening.

Lauren I'm such a huge fan of The Invisible Corset!! That book created the foundation for radical transformation in my mind and life. I have shared and recommended that book to so many! I remember the actual physical pain I felt in my brain as I grappled with some of the paradigm shifts; it has given me a new understanding of how uncomfortable it can be for humans to let go of an old belief in light of another. 100% worth it though!! The paradigm shifts your book helped me make created fertile soil for the idea of "psychosomatic symptoms" to take root, and allow me to treat my chronic fatigue and other 'central sensitization syndromes' through spiritual and mental healing, and get completely off medications! Thank you for continuing to share your truth boldly. Bless you, beauty!

Very good suggestion @10:42 “We have to be willing to pray”🙏. A helpful prayer that I have used when I want to know the Truth about myself comes from a Scripture in the Old Testament; “Search me oh, God, & know my heart. Try me, Test me, and know my anxious thoughts. Reveal any wicked/offensive way in me (anything out of alignment). & Lead me in the way of everlasting life” (paraphrased from Psalm 139:23-24). For those in 12 step, this is a good prayer to use for your step 10 inventory questions & you can journal the answers that come. For those who are not believers in God, but have a sincere desire to know the truth, you might be more comfortable beginning the prayer, saying, “My Creator..”, “Search me…..” “Reveal to me…”& “Lead me in the path of righteousness”. When we come to Our Creator with a broken and contrite (humble) heart, he WILL answer our sincere, earnest prayer from our hearts!! 💗🙏💗 ~ When I have done this, sometimes it starts to look worse, initially.. But KNOW that Our Creator IS answering, and working in our lives, to bring us to a BEAUTIFUL place of right-living, HEALING, PEACE, and JOY!💗🤗💗...🌸🦋🌸 God Bless everyone who reads this💗🙏💗

I just want to tell you something, Lauren. This is truly one of the best videos I've ever ever seen in my life and it's quite frankly life-changing! And I'm someone who has seen A LOT of mental/physical-health-related videos on KZread. I'm a psychology major and I have been through a lot in my life. It's a long story but so many things to heal from (undiagnosed ADHD at 29 was a big reveal for sure). Healing is so hard but so worth it I have a strong faith in that. But extremely few ppl fully get it like you do here! It really takes so much work and effort to dive that deep within to reclaim our power but it's so important to know it's doable!! For me, this video is the truth about reaching true mental well-being and connecting back with our authentic selves. You remind me a lot of my dear online therapist who helped me so much in my healing journey (and still in touch with), Tess Mcmechan (she has a KZread channel) and the healing energy I see here shines just as bright it's incredible. I'm very lucky to find your channel. Will certainly check and like all your other videos. And if you have a book (or podcast), I would be more than happy to read it eventually. May God bless you! Followed on insta as well :) Thank you so much for this video!! <3 It's extremely helpful!

I've made a lot of progress on my healing journey, except in one area, and that is with food sensitivitities despite my gut being healed. I'll be going through some further testing, but wonder if there's something else going on that's deeper than the physical? It's frustrating. 🙏
