Sometimes I wonder if the big b is just depressed and trying to shorten his life by smoking so much. Cuz Colin says in the game fables live a long time. And with all the crap he has to deal with in the game it wouldn’t shock me if he is depressed and just trying to shorten his own life by smoking but it’s just a theory of mine. (More then welcome to correct me if I’m wrong)

Lets not include the Loot Train Attack in the list of tactically stupid battle depictions in GoT, please. The LTA made perfect sense from both sides from start to finish. Danny had an insane advantage attacking the Lannister Army while they were undeployed and did everything right, from cutting a breach into the impromptu Lannister shield wall and having her Dothraki roll them up from that flank, to focussing on the main objective (destroying the loot), switching to deal with anti air on the fly and finally routing the enemy. The Lannisters did what they could to mount a defense while not being prepared at all. The shield wall made sense against riders but wasn't deep enough and overstretched on account of them not having been deployed for battle.

I said all along that the Dothraki should have been given a means to signal either the defenders or the dragons, then harass the flanks of the army of the dead to the point where they start breaking formation or The Night King was forced to reveal himself and deal with the situation. If he doesn't go after the Dothraki then he's sending bodies away from the main fight, if he does go after them, then the dragons know where to be.

I totally agree with your observation that the comics are more "skin deep" than the game when it comes to exploring character relationships, conflicts, and themes. That was a big disappointment to me when I read the comics...including the spin-off comics/latest releases. I read the comics because the game seemed so interesting, and I immediately fell in love with the concepts, the world, and its characters. It's fun to rewatch playthroughs of The Wolf Among Us with knowledge pertaining to the comics because I can truly see the research and love that went into even the minor details of the game (such as letters from Weyland and foreshadowing of the Farm plot that happens in the comics). Despite my enthusiasm when I first started reading...the comics let me down. Thats not even to touch on the creator's blatant inclusion of his own political views...and the racist potrayal of the Arab Fables in the comic (which makes sense given the hot-blooded, pro-Israel creator's beliefs and the timeline of the comics being written post 9/11). I'm excited for the second game...but it just sucks that I feel almost like I wasted my time reading the comics. I'll be glad if TWAU 2 does a good job exploring nuance and themes and questions/concepts as well as the first game, or, hopefully, even better. As for my future interactions with the comics...jeez, I feel the need to re-write the story in a fanfiction or something just to fix a lot of major flaws and actually do something REWARDING with the concepts, questions, and character relationships it sets up...

No. I disagree with all of your theories on objectivity and your proposed re writes. That all sucks hard. It’s actually great as is. I’m glad you were in no way involved in the production of it. Your ideas for a alternate version are very lame.

Most modern TV shows and Movies feel the need to preach rather than entertain. Ironically they're preaching to the very ones who cherish the original series. Constantly drilling into the minds of the audience, white people, especially white males, bad every other race good, is tiresome and boring.

Yeah after I was done playing my first time with The Wolf among Us game I was obsessed with the story and heard about the comic books and after I did like and enjoy the comic books the only problem is that one of them eventually left me a cliffhanger and it was a bad one so now I'm just very curious when is the new ones coming back the comic books I mean

I think the show has proved that Tyrion Lannister is a terrible strategist. He really should not be part of any part of the war planning effort after his disastrous performance in Battle of the Blackwater and Meereen. He can handle the logistics of feeding the army and government. It'd be like Tom Hagen - not a wartime counselor.

I think the biggest problem of this twilight zone is that it’s two on the nose and too long. Most of the episodes I figured out where the plot was going in the first 20 minutes and then I realize they were still another 40 minutes to go. Once you know where it’s going, it’s not that interesting anymore. And even on a few occasions when they did, keep me wondering if usually wasn’ a good pay off. I mean look at the Donald Trump episode to see just how painfully obvious everything was.

The comic is very good its just not about the same things as the wolf among us; it's more just an incredible fantasy story. It is also probably my favorite comic series ever. In the end, wether you like the games or comics more, it comes down to personal preference and what you want from the premise.

There is another serious difference between this TZ and the original series: Serling was political, but not partisan. He addressed McCarthyism with "The Monsters are Due on Maple Street," but he was just as quick to address Marxism with "The Mirror" and "The Obsolete Man" (which references Stalin). Serling knew that ANY extreme of any sort, regardless of left or right on the political spectrum, could be dangerous. (BTW, Gene Roddenberry's original Star Trek series handled this the same way as well) The 2019 TZ fails in this regard. The politics are almost exclusively favorable to leftist ideas. "Not all Men" is basically a blind exercise in Misandry, and something Serling would not have approved of because of its "one-sidedness." This is beyond social commentary; it's flat out Riefenstahl-esque propaganda.

Almost every episode of 2019 TZ was about having your status quo changed. That showed how little we had to fear in 2019. Both the 80s and 60s TZ were afraid of war. 2002 TZ's episodes were afraid of death. If Twilight Zone wants to come back, the real world needs to be terrifying. I guess were just not there right now.

Have the men defending the castle from inside obviously, with obsidian arrow heads But have the masses of undead be pulling up against the wall like in World War Z Have the Night King attacking the dragons (on his own dragon) so that they can’t set the wights ablaze Then have the men atop the castle walls have to slice down the eights as they breach over (We can also have wights trying to chop down the main gate, successfully or not, maybe a small opening that slowly gets larger allowing more and more in Then from there they can either win somehow by dismounting and killing the Night King Or they can lose and have only a few who can manage, escape on horseback (either through an escape tunnel in the crypts or wherever, or by dragon back, perhaps on horseback if they are ableTo get out) And then the army would continue south (if it were up to me I’d have the army of the dead win)

The biggest difference is the comic has ham-fisted right-wing political propaganda. For example: having a random CHILD praising Rudy Gulliani during the battle for Fabletown, and owning his parents with facts and logic when they think *a certain army* marching down the street are republican white nationalists. I WISH I WAS KIDDING. Bill Willingham has basically said it’s all about Israel/Palestine and that if he could have it sponsored by the Israeli govt he would. Hasn’t aged the greatest. Broke immersion for me unfortunately. Hope the video game just stays within the world its so interesting already without an incongruent allegory forced into it.

Dude really??? In the comics bigbys past is brought up all the time. He is basically the only 1 general amnesty doesn’t fully apply to. He isn’t allowed on the farm under any circumstances. He is even forced to miss several years of children’s lives because of it. He is guilted into letting one of the pigs sleep on his couch. He is constantly referred to as an animal and a monster. It kinda feels like you did a quick google search and didn’t actually read the comics

In siege warfare, you keep your cavalry behind the walls at all times. Except when the opportunity arises for raids or shock attacks on weak enemy units. You should also dig ramparts and graves to concentrate the enemy into prepared kill zones. These must be at fixed distances for trebuchets, catapults, scorpio and bow and crossbow shooters. This is to simplify distance indication for each type of weapon.

Can't agree more. I started reading fables comics just to be utterly disappointed. The game's story elements and characters are much better. Comic bigby is a smartass whereas game's bigby is a relatable guy who's making amends and trying to better himself with whatever little support he has and has to fulfill his miserable responsibility as the sheriff.
