The World is a Circus

The World is a Circus

HI, I'M LIESELOT.

Welcome to my blog and KZread Channel: The World is a Circus.

Do you remember when you were a child and went to the circus? That's how I want to keep looking at the world. Being naively and innocently amazed by everything that's happening around you. I want to hold on to that feeling while discovering the world.

I love getting lost in nature, with a camera in my hand to capture all the beauty. Finding hidden gems and meeting people and seeing the world through their eyes for a second is what makes me happy. And all of the above combined with a dose of quirkiness.

Originally I'm from Belgium, but I'm based in New Zealand. The perfect country to shoot some cool outdoor videos. I hope you guys like it!

Cheers,

Lieselot

    These guys are crazy. Are those the sounds of the flies I'm hearing also? I seem the recognise it, almost like a whining little dog.

    Vitamin B1 is the key, we used to sell it to 'trampers' in the 1970's, it's a well known way of making yourself resistant to bites. I'm surprised you weren't advised this, it's been common knowledge for many decades. But then I guess big pharma wouldn't profit from the suffering..

    Bullshit. Mountaineers have walked to and from this hut for years. I couldn’t think of anything worse though then turning up to find it full of these social media wannabes. It would be interesting to see how they would fare if the helicopter couldn’t make it back to pick them up.

    Like many people, it was one of New Zealand's must-see ... and of course. When we know what happened on December 09, 2019, it cuts short any good enthusiasm. By watching this video, we see the poor guide Hayden who died there 11 months later. With a thought to all these people gone or still in recovery.

    Not so long ago alpine huts like Plateau Hut were essential shelter for mountaineers and used exclusively by mountaineers. They generally walked into these huts where it is essential to have the skills and fitness to walk and climb to these huts. Now any tourist with money and beer can fly into Plateau Hut. How times have changed.

    You don't really find them too much of a problem in the cities, unless you are in the gardens in the evening. But when out in the country, camping in a tent, or by a river or in the bush they are horrible and numerous! We were amazed to see one fellow cycle-tourist in Twizel, walking about with shorts & thongs (jandals) with sleek, unblemished legs. She was camping as well! They were from Wellington so maybe the locals get some sort of immunity by living/growing up in NZ.

  • @lopolik
    @lopolik Жыл бұрын

    @@petesig93 yea I'm sure that's the case, I've lived in the Philippines, and my legs and arms were all covered with hundreds of mosquito bites, even with using the lotion. But the local people didn't have that problem, I think they are immune to it, at least to an extent
