HI, I'M LIESELOT.
Welcome to my blog and KZread Channel: The World is a Circus.
Do you remember when you were a child and went to the circus? That's how I want to keep looking at the world. Being naively and innocently amazed by everything that's happening around you. I want to hold on to that feeling while discovering the world.
I love getting lost in nature, with a camera in my hand to capture all the beauty. Finding hidden gems and meeting people and seeing the world through their eyes for a second is what makes me happy. And all of the above combined with a dose of quirkiness.
Originally I'm from Belgium, but I'm based in New Zealand. The perfect country to shoot some cool outdoor videos. I hope you guys like it!
Cheers,
Lieselot

These guys are crazy. Are those the sounds of the flies I'm hearing also? I seem the recognise it, almost like a whining little dog.
Vitamin B1 is the key, we used to sell it to 'trampers' in the 1970's, it's a well known way of making yourself resistant to bites. I'm surprised you weren't advised this, it's been common knowledge for many decades. But then I guess big pharma wouldn't profit from the suffering..
KILL CATS
If a sandfly bites you it can pit a parasite in your body called leishmania thats deadly
I just love kiwis!!! So happy to see this video! So adorable and cuddly!
I was hoping they would feed them kiwi fruit
I love fat birds! I want to hold one. So stinking cute and bigger than I expected.😍
We gotta save the kiwis!
I think Cyndaquil inspired by a Kiwi
Kiwis can be referring to the fruit, the bird, or a New Zealander for those of you who are confused lol
Damn I got bitten many times when camping in Cromwell and Wanaka!
You need to eat Marmite and Vegemite especially 2 weeks before you come to NZL and they leave you alone.
so purity in your hearts love u all .... what a environment calm cool and collective
Thank you Guys God bless you all 🙏 Maori 🎸 Jeebus 🖐️
Illegal use of a drone in a national park. awesome. It is illegal to fly any type of drone in Kananaskis except for permitted research or commercial park use.
She has to be on the west coast of the south island
I love kiwi bird and I love dog
I was planning to go there on the 9th December 2019, but I didn’t because I was sick, it may have saved my life.
Very gratifying to see your dedication to these penguins! God bless you for all the work you do ! ♥️💕 They are so beautiful and unique!

Fauci approves
I had no idea.😳
They only occur mainly in the bottom part of west coast in South Island of New Zealand,

Only one option to get there ???? By helicopter 🚁
Bullshit. Mountaineers have walked to and from this hut for years. I couldn’t think of anything worse though then turning up to find it full of these social media wannabes. It would be interesting to see how they would fare if the helicopter couldn’t make it back to pick them up.
@@Jimmy-bf6bj I totally agree with you Jimmy. Check out my comment above similar to your comment.
This is a nice bird.
Oh ik mis jouw video’s!!! France/Belgium edition coming soon!
Wonderful birds, such a great cause.
Wow - so beautiful!! Must be so cool to be so close to a "living" volcano
Wow - that view is insane!!
I really like Newzealand from my child hood due to cricket matches awesome video .....
love from India (uttrakhand hills)
Like many people, it was one of New Zealand's must-see ... and of course. When we know what happened on December 09, 2019, it cuts short any good enthusiasm. By watching this video, we see the poor guide Hayden who died there 11 months later. With a thought to all these people gone or still in recovery.
Did 'the tour' about 6 years before this. There was nowhere near the amount of venting shown here. Not going to offer any other opinion.
Not so long ago alpine huts like Plateau Hut were essential shelter for mountaineers and used exclusively by mountaineers. They generally walked into these huts where it is essential to have the skills and fitness to walk and climb to these huts. Now any tourist with money and beer can fly into Plateau Hut. How times have changed.

Those are fake people, right?! 😳
I was there in winter in Otago (Dunedin city) and there were absolutely no insects at all. But yeah in summer I haven't been there.
@Somebody WhoisSomewhere I see. Thanks for the information.
You don't really find them too much of a problem in the cities, unless you are in the gardens in the evening. But when out in the country, camping in a tent, or by a river or in the bush they are horrible and numerous! We were amazed to see one fellow cycle-tourist in Twizel, walking about with shorts & thongs (jandals) with sleek, unblemished legs. She was camping as well! They were from Wellington so maybe the locals get some sort of immunity by living/growing up in NZ.
@@petesig93 yea I'm sure that's the case, I've lived in the Philippines, and my legs and arms were all covered with hundreds of mosquito bites, even with using the lotion. But the local people didn't have that problem, I think they are immune to it, at least to an extent
is this the North Island or the South Island of New Zealand? Looks a bit like the south region, am I wrong?
West Coast of the South Island tends to get sandflies while mosquitoes are more common in the North Island. You need to eat Marmite and Vegemite especially 2 weeks before you come to NZL and they leave you alone.
@@Brucemcleod2345 lol I've been to Dunedin, but it was during the winter, so no insects at all. I did eat a lot of marmite there too.
@@lopolik Dunedin doesn’t get sandflies as it is on the East Coast of the South Island. But keep eating Vegemite
@@Brucemcleod2345 We don't have it here in Europe. I was in Dunedin a long time ago - back in 2008.
@@Brucemcleod2345 Or actually we do, Vegemite and Marmite is the same thing, I forgot.
The Restart Mall is no more, is that correct?
Why are the penguins blue? And how are they blue also? Is it some sort of pigment on the flippers, and does this confer some advantage to the birds?
I didn't realize how big they actually are until now. They look cuddly.
It's relative can easily eating you..
I have so much respect for you! You guys are amazing! I wish I could do what you guys do! I love kiwis!
