    Funny....crazy to recommend a shopping spree Manila. Hugr import taxes and an additional 12% VAT tax makes anything name brand 2 to 3x more expensive than in US. $60 Nikes are $200 in Makati/Manila. Do not shop here.

    Hi, thanks a lot. Your videos are extremely usefull and relevant. I personnally played at nearly as many room as you reviewed and I could enjoy having a chat sometimes. One topic you seem to often overlook when giving your reviews, because it can't be used as a review rating of the place, but how ever one of my first concern when I am going to play abroad, is about how convienient it is to deal with foreign cash at those location. Maybe it could be dealt in a separate video on how to get money in and out those countries.

    Promotion of Poker or any other gambling for any reason is by nature misleading but poker players WANT to be mislead. Its a fine game but gambling for a living is a guaranteed ticket to spiritual hell. Gambling is a form of entertainment at best and an effort to escape the obligation of a productive life at worst. The majority of poker players are losing players who are also losers in life and are coping through poker.

    doyle brunson had a strong long career. he just had to keep a wad of cash in his home at all times though, so he could pay off the people who performed home invasions on him. which apparently was a common thing for him. crazy life.

    I disagree with the downswing argument. If you are a professional you always gotta have the +EV mindset, the only way to get out of the hole is increase volume and study more. If you can’t have that mindset just go flip the burgers cause poker isn’t for you, I had a couple 100k downs and the only way I got back from it is improving my mindset my game and increasing volume, taking a lot of time off like a pussy is just gonna destroy your game.

    This information is very one sided. The dispute at Nagaworld is far more complex and the actual "why" it happened should be addressed ! I live in Phnom Penh and have no business or affiliation with Nagaworld. But I do know many of their local staff socially and have also had staff from Nagaworld join my company. Nagaworld offer a good package compared to most in Phnom Penh and most of the employees there are happy. Cambodia is a country still recovering from genocide , yet the people are happy and friendly. It's very safe and needs more international events to raise the positives.

  • @pokerroomreviews
    @pokerroomreviewsАй бұрын

    Thank you for watching and commenting, but I feel you've missed the point of the video. We're completely neutral on the industrial dispute and whether Nagaworld employees are properly remunerated. The issue is that the Cambodian government are throwing peaceful demonstrators in jail unjustly. Meanwhile, the WPT humiliates its own government in the US which is trying to promote human rights.

  • @benabrahams515
    @benabrahams515Ай бұрын

    @@pokerroomreviews Hi and no your still wrong on this issue. During the pandemic , Nagaworld was closed for a very long time. They kept on paying staff and over time had to reduce what was paid to them. There was a split on this between staff and many quit , leaving themselves with no income. They then protested outside Nagaworld , blocking entrances and roads for a long time. And intimidating customers also. The story is far to much to write. But the point is Cambodia is a country still recovering from the most awful genocide . The international world only help when they have something to gain and the Cambodian people have had the most difficult time. The point is that videos like this create bad press and stop people visiting the wonderful country and hust the people, far more than the government. WPT , Pokerstars etc are bringing in players and helping Cambodia to repair its reputation and gain credibility for hosting such events. And these companies should be praised for their efforts. Which in the end help everyone, their businesses , players, and most importantly the Cambodian economy and it's people. If you come to Cambodia for an event and want to make another video , I can show you around and you can understand more.

    Only 1% of players can make a living at poker because 99% of the people that play poker don't really understand how to make a living at it. Very few players actually knows what it takes to make a living at it. All of you are just as clueless as rampage is, but for season you guys think you know how it works. The 1% that actually make a living at poker wont teach anyone of you how to do it. And that is why its hard to make a living cause the truth is you have to figure it out on your own. And it takes a very long time many years of trial and error to figure out what works best

    Why do you consider the presence of a bat beat to be a positive aspect of the casino? This is a huge minus. This is in fact an additional rake. Where there is a bat beat, I don’t play. I only play in those casinos where there is no bat.

  • @pokernoy
    @pokernoy2 ай бұрын

    Shit casino and country. There are countries in the world where the rake is 4 and 5% and without bad beat. These are the countries we should play in. I wanted to go to live in the Philippines because of the developed poker, but when I found out that the rake in the Philippines is 10%, I quickly changed my mind. For this there are Vietnam, Cambodia and Georgia.

    I went from .05/.10 stakes 2003 to four table heads up 3/6 in 2007. Brian cabby tore me a new one when I moved to 5/10. Never have more than 5% of your role on the table. Always move down when you get to 90%. Thankfully I graduated those stakes in 2008 and cashed out before Black Friday. Used the money to buy my first house in AZ when the market was down. You have to go through a proper amount of hands to experience the true reality of variance. You cannot move up until you do as you may think you are better than you are. When taking shots you need to know and or question if your 3 bet preflop or all in on the turn was the right move despite the result, and have the hand history to tell yourself next time what to do despite the last result. This guys at his current pace is going the way of isildurr. Maybe he is making the money up elsewhere but time does not take punts lightly.

    Playing devils advocate. Should you and your partner be banned from playing in certain casinos because you may have discussed an opponents tendencies with one another following a few sessions played vs said opponent? The line is very hard to draw in this scenario. I fully agree that ghosting, sharing funds, colluding and these types of behaviours are terrible and should be eliminated in Poker. However studying in groups in poker will always happen, whether it be with a few friends or signing up to courses or training sites. The line is hard to draw. The way GG seems to be handling this by selectively shadow banning accounts seems poor. Not to mention the site is rampant with Bot accounts and not so long ago the MoneyTaker superuser scandal (which are being made public thanks to private peoples MDA research and not thanks to GG security). It seems there are other pressing areas their security should be focusing on, but choose not to. Anyways I don't play on GG and don't plan to, these were just my thoughts. Cheating and gaining a super edge however possible by RTA, Bots, Colluding, ghosting, multiaccounting should always result in Bans.

    Overall I agree with Crispin but as a recreational player I find the bounties helpful because they help offset the entry fees. Not everything GG does to help the recs involves limiting the professionals. Earlier this year GG awarded me 50% rakeback status (platinum shark?) out of the blue and I’m just a hobby 2nl grinder. After another month or so I fall back to 35 percent rakeback for a year and then down to 25 percent permanently. If that’s not trying to help a little guy move up I don’t know what is.

    Simply not fair, massive advantage of being in a stable. Also heard of stories of individual's in stables collaborating on final tables of tournaments. Massive edge. Sharing information is a massive edge also. I play live poker as a living, ive sayed away from online poker for a good few years with the knowledge of fellow professionals whom are purely in stables for advantages not financial reasons.

    Poker room location has changed since this Vlog. Not great location hopefully they have a rethink to put it in an area that has more foot traffic to have visitors play and fill the tables like it was a couple months ago. Agree rake isn’t ideal but it’s the only casino we have. There are other poker rooms in the city that may be worth the visit when they are open. 2.5 stars is a fair rating.

    Like the corporations, the government weren't getting (what they considered) their cut, which in legal terms is the "taxes", and they couldn't because all the sites were based in tax havens and the Australian Government couldn't reach them. So, instead of being intelligent and trying to work something out, they decided to do a blanket "ones size fits all" ban, all on the basis of protecting the people.

There is a bad beat jackpot now. 100k pesos for Aces over 10s or better cracked, both hole cards have to play. It’s effectively a $1/$2 game, but plays more like a $2/$4 game.
