For medical students by medical students, a mission before profit. We want to give you the most realistic and unbiased look at life in Italy as an international medical student. We want to show you the truth, so the good, the bad and the ugly, and not just sell you the lie that some universities are better because we have students that go there.
Every student who would like to contribute is more than welcome to and will get full credit in any capacity they want, this isn't about one student owning a website, it's about uniting every medical student in Italy who studies in English :)

are there any merit based scholarships in Milano Statale regardless of the income? and when is it provided to the students as in within the first semester or second semester onwards
Does high score in imat help in getting scholarship
not really! Income and grades actually matter
Hi, I'd like to understand what makes a multiple graduating classes an advantage (You spoke about this on 6:00 min of the video, comparing Milan and bologna), thanks!
It's just always good to have had multiples of any given year because it's given time to iron our problems. If in 6th year they're having problems with getting people organised with their thesis, or mandatory internships etc. You don't want to be in a situation where they still haven't fixed that.
how about the cumpaniya medical University please
does not the scholarship cover the rent?
Depends on the city, but a lot of times the scholarship is barely enough, and it's only paid out twice a year!
I love how your videos cover every essential detail and still manage to be short, great work thank you so much!
I am an Italian student currently enrolled in medicine and surgery in the English course in Italy. I personally love having people come to Italy to study, and it's a pleasure to share the class with mates from all over the world. Despite this, I have some concerns about our English course: - First and most importantly, I wish other countries with comparable levels of education offered to italian students the same opportunities that Italy provides to foreign students in terms of scholarships and support. - Most students coming from abroad do not stay in Italy for their residency. If these seats were given to Italian students, we might retain more doctors. The primary reason why both foreign and Italian graduates do not stay is the quality of the residency programs, especially in the surgical field, where the hours spent operating and the salary are not competitive. This situation results in us training doctors who, from the beginning, often plan to leave. - While I have met truly excellent foreign students, I do not see, on average, a significant difference between Italian and foreign students that would justify the substantial financial support provided by our taxes, and invested on non-italian doctors. - The distribution of scholarships can be unfair. The intention is to support students from low-income countries, but since it's challenging to verify family incomes from non-EU countries, some students who are financially well-off receive scholarships, sometimes without demonstrating outstanding academic performance. In summary, while the principle of offering opportunities to international students is commendable, Italian taxpayers fund these initiatives. Given that the primary issue in our healthcare system is not the number of medical school graduates but the quality of residency programs and the working conditions and salaries of doctors, this investment may not be the most effective way to address our doctor shortage. This is not a fact, it's an observation, as such I am open at any time to change my mind about this regard😊
Hi Have you visited napoli? I don't know if im choosing the right place for me,i just want to hear your opinion about naple.
Liking a city really depends on the person. Every place has pros and cons. Naples is definitely a really nice city, cheap, with good food, nice sea, kind people and sunny weather. On the other hand, some people find it a little dangerous.
I have a gap year of 9 years after my 12th class( cbse) . Will this study gap cause problem in university admission or visa approval?
It shouldn't!

Hi Serra, my daughter will be taking the IMAT next year (2025), can she join this project? If we donate now, can she still join for the next year's IMAT preparation (simulation, etc.)?
Hi! The fundraiser is over and was dedicated to this year's preparation. We'll do our best to create similar opportunities in the future :)
Thank you for your honesty. It's crucial for people of colour to be aware of the realities of living and studying long-term in Europe. I live in the UK and have never experienced racism there, but I was taken aback by the racism I encountered during a hiking trip in Europe. The questions and comments from fellow European hikers were shocking. While some remarks were overtly racist, many others didn't even recognise their behaviour as racist when I confronted them!

Im 21, and aspiring to become a medical student and graduate from Italy. I’ve been watching a lot of your vids, they’ve helped me tremendously especially this one! Great work doc keep it up.
My name is Luciana, and I am a student from Portugal interested in applying for the Medicine program. I have several questions regarding the application process: -Pre-registration: Is there a requirement for pre-registration at university before taking the IMAT? - Required Documents: Could you provide a list of the documents that are needed for the application? - Language Proficiency: Is an English language proficiency certificate (such as IELTS or TOEFL) required for the application? If so, what are the minimum scores accepted? - Deadlines: What are the important deadlines I need to be aware of for the application process? - Where can I take the IMAT in Portugal?
Now its different GK only has 4-5 questions 😊
if i want to join to medical school in italy and study medicine in english, How much the tuition fees would be as an international student?

Hey! Can we not do any physical work and just opt for freelancing, like copywriting, or other online earning models such as affiliate marketing etc?
Sure if you can find jobs like that!
Can a non specialist, non eu medical graduate do specialization in italy......?? (I have completed my mbbs from india...)
Yes if you fulfil all the criteria such as having a C1 PLIDA certificate
PLEASE, ANSWER MY QUESTION @AcadIMAT I want to study in urology rezidenture in Italy, I study mbbs program in nonEU country. Do I have to apply to Medicine and surgery for this?
You need to have a C1 PLIDA certificate as a minimum. For anything else I would consult with universitaly, and your local Italian embassy to find out the exact procedure.
@@AcadIMAT thaks for answering my question. 🇺🇿
What about Sweden?

Hi I love your videos. Very helpful and realistic information . Please answer my question Q: how many times does non EU students can sit for IMAT exam ? Thank you
You can sit it once a year (for as many years as you want) and you can apply for one university of your choice.
Can you tell us more about how to stick barcode?
This is very informative
Do we need to learn Italian language to go to clinicals..?
Technically it is mostly not required but recommended
Hey serra could you please give a campus tour of Sapienza
In a few weeks sure
Great video Serra, found it really informative and helpful. Can’t wait for the classes to start now 😁
Who do I contact if I paid and was charged on my card for the service, but the website is saying that there was an error with my card.
Indiegogo is probably your best bet! If you send an email at [email protected] with your email address I can double check on our end that we didn't receive the donation so it wasn't processed
@@AcadIMAT Ok thank you! I was able to figure it out
Hey serra when are you gonna upload the campus tour video of sapienza ims ?
Maybe a few weeks, haven't started recording the talking part or editing yet and there's like 5-6 other videos I've already recorded
Some notes, when watching dubbed anime DO NOT USE SUBTITLES (or at least use subtitles in Italian). The Italian classes we're doing starts from a level of 0 so assuming you barely even know how to say ciao, and will have 1-2 progress tests and other interactive elements. Does meal is free?
Ma'am you're going a great job for all of the coming students. Our blessings are with you
Can you please add timestamps
Do you have any videos on affordability of thr different cities?
we wrote few articles about Italian cities and the cost of living on our blog acadimat.com :)
Hi Serra, thank you for your efforts. In your videos, you've mentioned that no ranking can truly rank these universities and that all have a very good quality of education. The cut offs in 2023, for most unis, were very high compared to previously - where 45 was good enough to get into most universities. Why do you think that is, better prep or easier questions? Furthermore, I'm looking to apply but as a non-EU student, I'm not sure how to make my ranking list. On the safe side, should I rank a university with more lenient cut off as my first (as that's what they look at) or go for my choice? Super conflicted ;( Thank you again!
your blog is literally one stop solution for everything 🥹🥹thankyou so much for doing all this
