Yup better shocks
This is A CHEAP AWESOME ALLSTAR TRUCK
Awesome indoor course! That truck is a true performer!
Buddy says $400 in upgrades. I see $75 🤷🏽
Looks good. What wheels are those? BTW, i bought the Fusion. That Fusion motor is AWESOME. Such great low speed control.
I can’t wait!
Us too
👍
Run through the jungle 😊.
Right
Very cool video Kilmore
Is the competition the 1st or 2nd Sunday of every month?
1st Sunday next one is on the 7th
Nightmare
Not that bad could have been worse.
Your really good at making clips
Thanks takes alot of time.
Great video 💪💯❤️🔥
Neat you got it working ok. In my experience, going from a mediocre tire to a Proline predator compound tire will help a lot with performance, and some decent shocks will help too. Rather than putting 700+ bucks in a Redcat, wouldn't it be better to just get something like a Vanquish VRD Stance for less money though, a rig that is nearly comp ready right out of the box? From what I have seen, the Vanquish has better ground clearance, better geometry, better tires, better electronics, way better center of gravity and all around better performance for like 500 bucks. :)
That's a good rig out the box. And definitely a good rig if your serious about it. But we know 500 is the start. Definitely not going to tell someone not to get a vanquish.
👍👍👍
👍👍👍
cool vid! appreciate the views number! keep it up! big like! 👍👍👍
Thanks for the great comment and support.
Nice 👍
Im enjoying mine, with the underdrive gears and 1080 im happy for now.
That's 2 big things there. But u got to admit the stock motor needs a bit more kick.
👍👍👍
makes me want to make me own suspension 😊
For what?
this :)@@kilmorrcs
next week my g-made bom will NOT have a drive shaft break i promise!
Can't wait. That rig is a best and looks good to.
Nice video😊
😎
Can you tell me what springs and oil weight you used in the shocks set-up?
I used the soft short springs on top, 1 hole, 50wt. If you feel the droop is to much on the front throw a medium short spring on the bottom.
🎉 congratulations on the 💯 subscribers. Keep it up bro.
Thanks are goal is to get over 500 this year
If it were me I would take the stock truck and install a QUICRUN Fusion SE (2-in-1 FOC system) - 1800KV motor and it probably would do as well or better than the one with all the upgrades.. The Fusion SE will cost about $80.. It is a brushless motor and the modulation is very precise and the crawl can be extremely slow.. you can check out some videos on the motor for more info..
fusion pro 2in1 is my go to for brushless crawlers motors. Just did brushed for the brushed guys out there. The stock tires are to hard to really bite so a nice motor won't help without a soft grip tire or softer foams.
The ascent is awesome on price and performance 💪😉
Definitely a good platform for a budget comp crawler build.
Nice
Thank you for watching
It looks nice. Good work 👏 👌💪✅️
Thanks.. where definitely far from done got plenty of stone just need wood and what ever we can find that's free.
🎉 looking good 👍. Dope video guys.
Thank you 🤗
Nice construction 😊
Thanks! 😊
Your crawler course is looking good 👍
Thanks. Hopefully I'll have it done before Christmas
Awesome crawler course✅️😉💪
I was there
It was alot of fun and can't wait for the 2024 event so worth the trip.
I know right I’m definitely going t the 2024 event
Looks like a great time.nice runs you guys.
Thanks we still new to the hole competition Crawling but I do injoy them.
No
Lol awesome
I've been in crawling for 14yrs on and off and this is the crawler that really got me saying I have to have it
Definitely a must buy if your in to Crawling and want to get in the comp seen and with upgrades and comp ready at the cost of most other brands stock. I'll be buying more when I can.
This can't be good for electronics 😮
Definitely not the best for them but if they're waterproof your good to go. Does need some maintenance but no more then playing in the mud and water. Batteries don't last to long in the cold though.
Awesome indoor crawler course 😀
Thank you 👍
What’s up brother. I’m a single dad and my daughter loves RC with me. Love to see you doing this with your son! I subscribed hopefully you get the other 49 subscribers you need . Thanks for being honest about stuff too.
It's allway's nice to have one or all your kids in the hobby with you makes it more enjoyable.. most of the time lol. Thanks for the sub.
@@kilmorrcs LMAO I know what you mean. Of course, brother. I unfortunately had to sell my whole collection a couple months back. But I would do it all again because I got full custody of my daughter! So, hopefully in time I’ll be able to save up and get a couple RC cars for us. Can’t lie though I miss wrenching at night. It was like a great stress reliever. +20 years of cars and trucks is a lot. It’s so funny because my little girl gets worried when the trucks stopped working lol or they crash.. haha I hope you have a great holiday man

Awesome purple underwear rock lights!
While this is a promising release from Redcat, it's not an RTR comp rig, and it doesn't say that in the marketing. It does say it has an LCG chassis and performance shocks. I can see what they've tried to do but the concept hasn't been followed through to production, IMHO. The gearing looks very high coupled with poor 1040 electronics, the low speed modulation is not what I'd expect from a crawler. The shocks look really nice but are so over sprung theres no droop meaning high cg which gies against having an lcg chassis in the first place. The gen 9 axles have better tyrning than previous iterations but the pumpkin is still massive. The servo looks great. Tray for full size battery in the rear again goes against the original concept of lcg and performance. Im not a redcat hater, my first rig was a gen7, i could only afford that after saving up and it got me going in the hobby. If redcat really want yo stand out they should follow through on concept more. It worked well for them with the low rider market they basically created. Come on redcat! Get a good high pinion small pumpkin axle design with decent steering angle and an esc that has good low speed modulation. Lower gearing in the transmission might give torque twist but its a crawler, we arent going fast. Sorry, i got to rambling 😂 Nice video mate. Subbed.
I definitely agree they should of just put a 1080 in and shocks with more droop. The battery tray can be moved to the front but I haven't tried it yet. the budget comp crawler Potential is there for thows who don't have 1k plus to put in to a comp crawler. And I incurage comments like this. Let's ppl know want to upgrade. And bands to take note.
Super nice crawler course 👌 Congrats ❤️🔥 +1Sub✅️
Thanks for the sub and confidence boost
cool vid!! big like! 👍👍👍
Big thanks
What tires do you have? Nice video
Proline 1/10 BFG T/A KM3 Predator Front/Rear 1.9" Rock Crawling Tires with dual-foam on some 1.9 brass rims/wheels
It looks kinda stiff.
Ya shocks definitely need a upgrade but for $300 I feel 300-500 more $ this thing will be a monster
Very stiff I got to check one out at my local hobby shop
It's way oversprung. Looks to have much better sag with soft Losi mini t springs, only about $7 so not too bad.
Team Losi - Mini-T 1.0 shock springs fit the Ascent shocks? The Ascent shocks must be very small diameter for a 1/10 scale vehicle to be able to use them.
@@DTW-bx2vy I think they are quite common in the comp world with mini t springs being used with Traxxas big bore shocks, DLux Fab does them that way way too, and they are amongst the best shocks you can buy. The spring fits over the shaft only, not the shock body.
The motors screws should be tightened a little tighter from the factory.
Most definitely Cas that wasn't a varry big drop that moved it.
Nice 👍🏾 I’m still on the fence about getting one for my collection
There not bad for the price. And with like 200-300 in upgrades could be fun for the none beginner.
