Definitely a must buy if your in to Crawling and want to get in the comp seen and with upgrades and comp ready at the cost of most other brands stock. I'll be buying more when I can.

Ya shocks definitely need a upgrade but for $300 I feel 300-500 more $ this thing will be a monster

It's way oversprung. Looks to have much better sag with soft Losi mini t springs, only about $7 so not too bad.

Team Losi - Mini-T 1.0 shock springs fit the Ascent shocks? The Ascent shocks must be very small diameter for a 1/10 scale vehicle to be able to use them.

@@DTW-bx2vy I think they are quite common in the comp world with mini t springs being used with Traxxas big bore shocks, DLux Fab does them that way way too, and they are amongst the best shocks you can buy. The spring fits over the shaft only, not the shock body.

While this is a promising release from Redcat, it's not an RTR comp rig, and it doesn't say that in the marketing. It does say it has an LCG chassis and performance shocks. I can see what they've tried to do but the concept hasn't been followed through to production, IMHO. The gearing looks very high coupled with poor 1040 electronics, the low speed modulation is not what I'd expect from a crawler. The shocks look really nice but are so over sprung theres no droop meaning high cg which gies against having an lcg chassis in the first place. The gen 9 axles have better tyrning than previous iterations but the pumpkin is still massive. The servo looks great. Tray for full size battery in the rear again goes against the original concept of lcg and performance. Im not a redcat hater, my first rig was a gen7, i could only afford that after saving up and it got me going in the hobby. If redcat really want yo stand out they should follow through on concept more. It worked well for them with the low rider market they basically created. Come on redcat! Get a good high pinion small pumpkin axle design with decent steering angle and an esc that has good low speed modulation. Lower gearing in the transmission might give torque twist but its a crawler, we arent going fast. Sorry, i got to rambling 😂 Nice video mate. Subbed.

I definitely agree they should of just put a 1080 in and shocks with more droop. The battery tray can be moved to the front but I haven't tried it yet. the budget comp crawler Potential is there for thows who don't have 1k plus to put in to a comp crawler. And I incurage comments like this. Let's ppl know want to upgrade. And bands to take note.
