    Termites will find their way. Always do. Spraying for termites never gets deeps enough into the sawdust pile. They live like ants in it.

    2 years later., Origin soles are still coming off. Frustrating to say the least. I'd spend the cost of the boot to have a better outsole and midsole. I'd send my boots to Trenton an Heath for a rebuild if I thought they would work on a stitch down construction, but at least in one video they said no way and they they were only building one for a special person. Again, really nice boot for casual use/dress. It's not a work boot. No way. Makes me wonder if I can get parts of my Harley boots repaired. (heel cap only , even the outsole is still good after 10 years!)

  • @Vekurus
    @Vekurus11 күн бұрын

    Ditto on the boots. Just bought mine in October 23', and I have similar problems. The sole is coming apart at the toes. I am on my feet as you, 10hrs a day easy. Not to mention I use them work and at home. So if I am awake and have footwear on, these boots are on my feet. At work, I also kneel a lot, which puts a bunch of strain on the front of the boot. The sole is half worn after this continuous use. It doesn't seem like many places want to repair this boot either. Super comfy! Yes, after a pretty nasty break in (they wore the top of my foot raw, just below the ankle), they are super comfy and great to walk in. I feel the rest of the construction is great, love the fact that the leather comes from my home town of Milwaukee, love the USA sourced, USA made philosophy, but like you I think these are not work boots. Casual dress boots, yes. My $150 pair of Harley boots that are 10 years old are still a stronger construction. I still like them, but I have to look for an alternative for work - Wolverines, or something.

    I bought one of these (with the stand) about 6 months ago and didn't get a chance to use it until recently due to a long-distance move. But I needed to build a 10' x 12' shed at the new house and this thing was stellar. Cuts like butter and is super accurate and square. One thing I don't like about it is the process of setting the stand up and taking it back down again. Seems like there should be a handle at each end instead of just one end. Kind of awkward with no handle at the heavy end. Having the ability to move it around is great though. I wheeled it out of the garage and right out to the job site in the backyard. One advantage of using it out there is not getting the garage full of sawdust, which was great. I bought it during one of Harbor Freight's many sales and got a great deal on it. Definitely a good buy.

    Poor comparison video, you can’t compare sanders when you’re using different stroke rates, 3mm vs 5mm. The 5mm will always win. The higher the stroke the faster the removal rate will be, smaller stroke rate means slower but a finer finish

    How's that Fuji atomizing that clean armor ? Any reducer used ? Do you have any issues with tiny microbubbles that won't pop with their products ? I've been having issues with their 757 and 700 .

    The changes probably would not be as comfortable. I wear my original origins for warehouse type work - walking on concrete floor mostly. Or for going through the TSA Pre -screen at airport. Don't have to take my shoes off and they don't set off the metal detector like my Whites do. Let me know if you are able to get them resoled. I am curiuos.

    Unfortunately the dust problem is a major problem, with all the radial arm saws (I mean sliding compound miter saws). The Craftsman 10" single bevel appears to be the only saw I've come across, which has a proper dust collection port which sits level with the fence, and it's not attached to the upper housing on the motor like most useless dust shrouds. The reason that factory saws have a useless dust shroud is because they want consumers to able to cut 4" thick beams without removing the dust shroud. I watched a video of a man who almost returned his Bosch sliding miter saw, because of the very poor dust collection. Radial arm saws also have atrocious dust collection during crosscuts, but during rip cuts, nothing beats the antique radial arm saw for dust collection.

    I bought this saw then saw a Kobalt version at Lowe's, so I took it back and got the Kobalt. Once I got the Kobalt home and realized how cheaply made it was, I took back the Kobalt and went BACK to HF and got the Hercules again. I'm glad I did, because this is a great saw, with lots of great features.
